  1. How can Josh Horne, who has been shite every time I have seen him, is a sectraian wee shite and looks like he is from Only Way Is Essex, be kept on, whereas Metcalfe and Pearson aren't.
  2. Did anyone know Glenn Thomson was at Albion Rovers?
  3. 6 more released. Leaving the clubs are : *Ross Forsyth (expected to sign for Stirling Albion) *Phil Johnston (expected to sign for Stirling Albion) *Marc McCusker (was on-loan at Clyde) *Jamie Lyden (was on-loan at Clyde) *Kevin Nicol (was on-loan at Clyde) *Glenn Thomson (was on-loan at Albion Rovers)
  4. Gils made his 100th league apperance on Saturday.
  5. I don't like the fact it doesn't say that Ronald, McCusker, Horne etc...have been released.
  6. You mention that Moore has only been there half a season, as have 2 of our strongest back 4. The afore mentioned 4 are quality defenders, the rest of our defenders are shite. The fact that you say that strikers should only be measured on the amount of goals they score just shows your awful logic. Lithgow is quick for a centre back, one of the fastest centre back in the 1st and 2nd divisions. McGinn is by far the fastest defender in the league, and one of the fastest players.
  7. Fact - Both Lithgow and Graham were offered a contract by a team pushing for promotion.
  8. Cowden score less than us, therefore their strikers are terrible. Moore and Stewart must be shite, they've been part of a team scoring less than us.
  9. What terrible logic.Lithgow hasn't let us down this season, he has been let down by the rest of the defence. Our strongest defence (McGinn Graham Lithgow Smith) is far superior to Cowden's. Our problem has been injuries to them, and also Smith and McGinn only coming half-way through the season.
  10. Sons fans: If Nicky Devlin were to be released would you have him back home?
  11. If it wasn't for his actions when he was 19, he wouldn't be playing for us. Fact.
  12. I don't think Lithgow and Graham, who I feel have been a very good partnership, will be our centre backs next season. Firstly because I think Lithgow will want full-time football, and secondly, I don't think Murray likes two right-footed centre backs, hence playing Smith there even with Lithgow fit.
  13. I'd keep : Graham, Lithgow, Smith, Turner, Aggy, Gils, Fleming, Lister Not bothered about: Prunty - Good guy, has been a good servant, however is too slow and we need pace up front, will always score goals though. I think if Jimmy goes, Murray will keep Prunts. McDougall - Great player when he wants to be, too lazy and inconsistent, his fitness looks pretty poor, maybe he's struggled with PT training. Wouldn't mind keeping him on, but I reckon he's on a big wage, which could be spent on a more consistent player, or two. Ewings - I'm a big fan of his, however unfortunately I don't think he'll be kept on, due to work commitments. Grindlay - I hate him because he is local. Decent keeper, but makes lots of mistakes, albeit he also makes some brilliant, important saves. I'd keep him, but as sub keeper. McNiff - He had some good games (And of course some awful ones) before going out on loan, I reckon he could be decent cover. I rate him higher than that Urquhart we got on loan from The Rangers.
  14. Immediately after the game, the boss told reporters: “In the pre-season there will be a few ins and outs, obviously, like any club. Next season will be harder, because other teams know what we are about now.” He continued: “Our opponents know about our strengths and weaknesses, so we will have to adapt our game a little bit and change a few things. This season we were a bit of an unknown quantity, and we were able to pick up; but I don't think teams will make the same mistake next year.” I don't like the sound of that, i think it could mean Jimmy will be off.
  15. Awards tonight : Rock Star - Fleming Trust Travel - Turner Goal Of The Season - Prunty Top Goalscorer - Lister Sons View - Lister Player Of The Year - Lister
  16. I'll have to make an equally negative one next season then.
  17. Having 2 extremely highly rated youth players at very top clubs is amazing - One of which has signed a deal taking him past 21, and the other who has been playing very well at a level, at least, above his age for years, and fans want him involved with the first team at 17. We have not had such bright prospects for as long as I can remember. Feruz and Harper will both make it at a very decent level, maybe not with their current clubs though. If they were just normal youth players at these top clubs, like Alex Davey, then I'd be less confident of them making it, however that isn't the case they are both very, very, highly rated by their clubs. So one would guess if they didn't make it with these top, top, teams then they would still make it at a high level. Feruz needs to get out on loan - Fulham next season > Heard it here first. Harper - If he continues his development he could/should be amazing for Scotland. Davey - Needs to get out in loan - Championship - Could save our centre half problem; might not.
  18. Started every game he has been fit for. Good solid left back, strong tackler, great in the air for his size, pretty slow, but his good positioning makes up for it. He has also played a number of games at centre back and two at right back, where he has also impressed, his lack of pace more obvious at centre back though. In my opinion he is/will be a good/ very good First Division player. However I hope I am proved wrong and he goes on to have a successful career at Hibs.
