  1. Our starting XI would be very strong if we sign: One of the keepers, a right back (Devlin? I believe he is being released), Lithgow, Graham and a striker, hopefully one from the 2nd or 3rd Division with a good goal scoring record, for example Malcolm. I'd then fill the rest of the squad with loan and released SPL youths, who have been in and around their club's first team and a few more experienced players as well.
  2. He isn't under contract, and as STo08 has said he knocked back morton, due to wanting to stay part time.
  3. I'm actually crying tears of joy - Chris Turner - 2 year contract
  4. He was our best player last season, however, I feel Lister was just slightly more important, due to being that wee bit more consistent.ETA: I do think Turner is the most important player to re-sign for next season.
  5. I agree. Prunty is very good back up, but we should be looking to, if possible, improve the team from last season. Prunty wouldn't have been in our strongest XI last season, therefore we should be looking to bring in a better striker, hopefully a pacey one.
  6. I agree with everything you've said, apart from the captaincy material bit. He does go mental at linesmen and refs quite a bit, and also at team mates if he doesn't get passed to.Very solid defender, puts a lot of balls in the box, finds space to look for passes very well and is very versitile. Great signing. We now need to get, two keepers, Lithgow, Graham, a right back, Turner, a centre mid, a winger and a striker, or two. Maybe another defender as well. keeper RB CB CB Smith Gils Aggy CM McDougall Fleming ST
  7. Good news, he will always score goals and is a quality guy. I'm surprised Grindlay hasn't sign yet, he is normally one of the first, i wonder if he has been asked to take a wage cut, or been told he won't be the #1.
  8. Dumbarton are about to sign Bulgarian striker Mino Vereguid.
  9. He spent most of Saturday talking about how Gils is "at best a Second Division player"
  10. Aggy's 'agent' is one of his mates. He and Aggy set up a football agency - Aggy is the best player. http://www.sonasfootball.com/the-team.asp
  11. Stevie Murray must make him feel like a giant then.

  13. Owen Ronald 'retweeted' one of his mates saying "@RossBarbour25: Congratulations to @Owen_Ronald (winston) on signing with Dumbarton again #gingerninja"
  14. I also don't think that we will be in the reserve league next season, as I think Murray only wants a small squad, and he has made comments about it not being fair or helpful playing 15/16 year olds at reserve level. I think horne is too old for Under 19s.
  15. As far as I'm aware John Horne and Jim Creaney haven't been re-employed.
  16. League - 64 app - 17 goals However - 44 starts -20 Sub -17 goals. Doesn't look as bad. All comps - 71 app - 21 goals - 49 starts - 22 sub - 21 goals Therefore cups - 7 app - 4 goals - 5 Starts - 2 sub - 4 goals Those stats can be perceived in different ways.
  17. He was very good last season, a major part in our promotion. He has stuggled this season though because he has been at a team that requires 110% from every player. He is very lightweight, and hasn't looked very fit. However he has put in a couple of good games. Based on purely attacking ability he could play at this level. He can beat players at will and cross with both feet very well. I believe if he was playing for a team like Thistle he would do really well. I mean a team at the top end of the table, like us last year, not a team fighting for their lives, like us this season. He needs to bulk up, grow some baws and be better off the ball.
