  1. I thought he looked out of his depth even at that level; too slow, too weak and lacked the basics of defending. Also thought Gibbons looked completely uncomfortable every time he was called into action. I understand he isn't a defender, but seemed to panic every time he was passed the ball. If we are running with a small squad we'll have to be ruthless. These two guys, and Kasubandi, just don't look up to the required level. In fact, they look almost exactly like their career history personified.
  2. If Barr will be out for a while we could also sign a right back, moving Pettigrew to centre back, which would obviously give us better cover at full back as well.
  3. At the game on Tuesday he looked in a bad way, could barely walk. If it's long-term we'll have to bring in another defender. Wouldn't mind that being Stranraer's trialist number 4 (Ross Barbour). Would also be concerning in midfield if Tatar was going to be signed and his injury is a bad one.
  4. McArthur and Fletcher both play for decent premier league teams every week; Gauld plays in the second tier of Portuguese football. Hopefully Gauld becomes the player we all want him to be, but to suggest he replaces solid premier league players at the moment is just cringeworthy. Can see the argument for having him in the squad and even trying him out in friendlies. Could be a massive year for him and he may very well play himself into the team.
  5. That would imply Stevie trusting Stevenson as part of a midfield two, playing him on the wing or some winger-less formation. Don't think he'll do any of those.
  6. I think Tatar, Kassarate and Clark are worth seeing again. Kassarate was good when he was involved, just wasn't involved nearly enough.
  7. Not expect Garry to start tonight? Wouldn't be too surprised to see Buchanan and Pettigrew feature tonight, they had little to do last night.
  8. See, people, this is what Mr Farage has been warning us about; a good local boy at risk of being left jobless thanks to a Romanian coming over here and trying steal his job!
  9. Very happy with that, had many outstanding games last season.
  10. That's the guy! Jack Ross has worked with him before, with Andy being the captain as well. Was brilliant for us in the Championship, not the quickest, but his positioning makes up for it for the most part. Guaranteed to roulette a striker or two during the season. He got injured during pre-season last year and couldn't get in the team after that. With a good pre-season in him, he'd be a very solid signing, he's also a great guy.
  11. Taggart is a smashing signing and will be the best right back in that league - very disappointed we let him go. He's an attacking full back, with a decent delivery and good feet, also good defender. Played at centre back and defensive mid for us a few times, but not very well; play him at right back and he'll be a huge asset at both ends of the pitch.
  12. In my opinion, Bucky, Gaz and Nade are the most important re-signings.
  13. Sons fans are far too polite... Stop all this 'sorry if...', 'didn't mean to...', 'if I...' pish. We want offers of a square go on the pitch at half time of the first preseason friendly.
  14. Very happy with that! Think he's been outstanding for us in many games and has been unlucky not to have played more games.
  15. That guy's bio is the worst thing I've ever seen. Genuinely makes me wish I didn't have eyes.
  16. There were 3 guys wearing Tampa scarves at our last home game weirdly enough.
  17. I don't see Miller getting another club at this level, but he's still very young. If it had not been for his actions off the pitch, Lithgow would be playing at at least this level.
  18. All about opinions... But I just can't understand how anyone, basing purely on footballing ability, can say Miller was a better player for us than Lithgow.
