  1. Exactly right Ludo. The general consensus about McCulloch is that he was an excellent scout, but a poor manager - whether the latter was caused by inexperience or unsuitability it's hard to tell, but I've never known a boss with so poor a record leave RP with as quite so positive opinion among the supporters. Of the current first team - O'Donnell, Broadfoot, Findlay, Power, Burke, and Brophy were all McCulloch signings. Although it should be noted that probably none of them looked top division quality during his period in charge.
  2. I was driving home from work listening to Miller and Preston's Billy Dodds puff sesh last night and couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was literally every negative observation about Dundee could be solved by the appointment of Billy Dodds. Honestly waiting for Biscuits to announce that Billy Dodds has single-handedly apprehended the murderers of Jamal Khashoggi.
  3. Absolutely great stuff from the St Johnstone boys on the last few posts. I can totally relate to scanning the crowd for your Grandpa, there's been a few members of my family going to Kilmarnock games and any one point for 100 years and I always do exactly this. It was a bit different for us because, while RP was dramatically remodelled 5 years later, we remained in the same place as it were. There is so much about my football routine that is all about place though. My father and I have been sitting in the same seats since it reopened, I have driving duties now but park in exactly the same spot that we always have, same walk to and from the ground, same faces and voices surrounding you season after season. How long did it take for McDiarmid to feel like "home" as it were?
  4. That was absolutely painful. Everything about it, from their inability to use the fucking thing, to their inability to talk while doing it, via the fact that they stood the whole time with their back to camera. Utter pish. I mean, Alan Shearer can use one of these! Honest to God Alan Shearer.
  5. I had absolutely no idea that the stadium was still under construction as late as that! Hampden season was 1994/95? And three full seasons later it still wasn't finished?
  6. Massive heel turn from GordonS. The sun will never set on the #juggernaut Empire.
  7. 1998/99, and the opposition was Hearts. 3-0 win at RP. I think McCoist was already in the squad by that game. I feel I can remember him in the squad in an away fixture in Lithuania on my 14th birthday (5/9/98). We drew 0-0, and I thought it'd be the worst result I'd ever see Scotland suffer... The naivety of youth....
  8. Could say the same for Robertson to be fair. The Israelis had us absolutely button holed in the second half and the manager did nothing to alter it until it was too late. I really hope that O'Donnell doesn't become a convenient scapegoat for last night, and that he gets another chance next month - although I fear he might not.
  9. How many games do you have to play for Celtic before you're automatically given a Sportsound gig? Kris Commons hot on the heels of Murdo and Pat as the latest dribbling mess.
  10. Think we should keep this kind of chat to the Killie thread boys. Admittedly it's difficult to tell the difference during a time when we're so far ahead at the top of the division, but still - show a bit of respect to our three fellow horsemen.
  11. Another squad announced, another St Johnstone blackout. How long will this vandetta persist?
  12. Dom Thomas began his illustrious career at Celtic, before audaciously switching sides to fellow #TB4 behemoths Motherwell at the tender age of 14. Fast forward seven years and he then signed for Kilmarnock - meaning that he has represented 75% of #TB4 by 22 years of age. If Aberdeen swoop for the winger following his loan spell at Dumbarton, he could very well be known in the press as the Alexander the Great of #TB4.
  13. Next fixture is Kilmarnock facing up against Aberdeen on Sunday 4th November. Inevitably this has been moved to 12.15 to allow for a UK wide television audience to enjoy the spectacle of Game Six.
  14. Secret camera footage from within Hampden reveals surprising lineup in SPFL Appeals Committee.
  15. I always thought Peter Enckelman should have had a call up. Good pedigree and would have been a decent option for the squad.
  16. Watching Eremenko hitting dead balls before my breakfast. Not bad Thursday, not bad.
  17. Really hope you chaps aren't getting any funny ideas about Saturday, although I'm gettingconcerned that Motherwell are edging into the territory of "underperforming side in need of a result"... That never particularly augers well for us.
  18. Delighted with Aberdeen's result last night, maintaining the #naturalorder. #TB4
