  1. Cole absolutely has to start. We only looked like we had a chance of scoring when he came on. What I will say is that the overall standard of the league this season is absolutely pish. There's Celtic & Rangers, then Hibs & Aberdeen, then just assorted levels of pish. Hopefully with Carson, Donnelly & another transfer in we can put a couple of results together then relax into mid-table mediocrity.
  2. I'm not sure I'm on board with the Aberdeen fans saying they deserved to win that. I don't remember either keeper making a save.
  3. I mean we look like we couldn't score in a brothel, but also we didn't do anything mental at the back to give away a goal.
  4. I'm looking forward to seeing exactly how one of these teams is going to make a rip roaring c**t of themselves.
  5. I mean it's never dull. Start of a new season normally people have an idea of what to expect. Are we going to play 3 at the back and kick someone to death? Are we going to play slick passing football and sign wingers that nutmeg folk for fun? Are we about to unearth some unknown talent who turns out to be the best player in the league? Are we going to be absolute dugmeat? Who knows!? Not me!
  6. The fact we've seen Robinson blow his whole plan up and start again before gives me a bit of confidence and I am very much against sacking him. We've transitioned from Thunderdome to Sexy Motherwell v1.0 before. Now hopefully we can jump from Meh-therwell to Functioning Football Team.
  7. This is going to boil down to one thing. Who drops more clangers, Lamie or Lewis?
  8. Tbh, as we've said, just a striker. A proper striker. Some c**t who will stand in the box. Not another c**t who can give us another attacking option and play anywhere across the front 3.
  9. Now this is the kind of deep dive I am here for. Like I don't doubt that he's probably a serviceable striker to someone. But it's not us. We clearly don't play whatever football it is that suits him. I would very much like to see him out the door to free up a wage. Even if we can dig out a loan deal for someone who could get anything approaching 10 goals between January and the end of the season would be great.
  10. Speaking of overseas fans. Whatever happened to the bold DHEERAJ?
  11. Hearts are very, very shite. *He says throwing stones from within his glass house.*
  12. What's more infuriating is that Jordan White clearly wasn't a Covid signing. I'm pretty certain it was about this time last year Declan Gallagher was posting things on Instagram suggesting he was as good as signed. I understand that White hasn't played very much, but in order to play you've got to do something when you get that odd 15 minute appearance. As for Hastie, if it's taken him until now to get fit I would suggest Jake & I spent lockdown in a similar way. Which is disappointing because you'd hope as a professional athlete he'd have a bit more reason to keep fit than someone who sits at a desk all day. If he's fit now he might be worth keeping around. I would reckon it won't cost the earth to keep him on.
  13. I feel like collectively we're all over Bevis Mugabi. Like the patter was there when he was a backup, now we need to play him it's not as funny.
  14. Aye like there's results I can understand people wanting the manager out, but losing at Ibrox isn't one of them. We do seem to have a large squad but the drop in quality is staggering. Bringing Jordan White on to try and hold the ball up & take the pressure off was never going to work since I'm not actually sure he's done anything of the sort. From the sounds of it Robinson is very aware that the squad isn't good enough. I think we opted for bringing in a lot of people in the summer but nobody of quality and we're suffering big time. I cannot be convinced otherwise that instead of bringing in a number of total huddies to fill the jerseys (Lamie, White etc.) and we'd attempted to bring in one person of quality for that we'd be in better nick. We could shell 8 folk and sit some youth players on the bench and we would be no worse off. I will lose my shit if we keep benching Polworth. I know he's been a bit off the boil but there is nobody else in our team who can pass a ball like him. The midfield 3 of Maguire, Campbell & O'Hara doesn't have an ounce of actual creativity. Hopefully we get Donnelly back in to sit in front of the defence, tell O'Hara he's a centre back and get a bit of balance in.
  15. The gulf in depth was enormous. Rangers bring on proven quality and we, once again, look to the bench and come up with Sherwin Seedorf and Jordan fucking White.
  16. Imagine taking 70 minutes to score against our lot of absolute fucking huddies. What a riddy.
  17. Any excuse to dust off this announcement picture that looks like 3 lads on a stadium tour getting a wee memento photo:
  18. My girlfriend thinks I'm a fucking weirdo with that. I won't remember something we done like 6 months ago but I can tell you exactly how Motherwell goals from 15 years ago panned out. I can still picture Pat Nevin scoring the winner from an outrageous angle against Hearts in the first game my dad ever took me to. It was a replay at Fir Park after the first one was rained off. They handed out the vouchers for entry to folk on the way out and my dad's pal grabbed a handful.
  19. St Mirren offer free beans with your pie. For that they can stay in the top flight. Their new stadium's shite, though. Love Street was class. The away end was like a cliff face.
  20. Berlin or Barcelona for me. Berlin is so bloody interesting. The history around just about everything and the fact that they show it, warts & all. Rarely have I had a better day out than hopping on one of the Donkey Republic bikes and going for a big cycle round Treptower Park, Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg then all the way up to Tiergarten. Stopping for pints & scran at appropriate intervals. Barcelona is just an excellent place in the summer months. If you avoid Las Ramblas and get yourself to different parts of the city then you can have an absolute stormer of a holiday and a beer won't cost you about €6 a bottle. I think a large part of it is having good memories of being there with my pals. Just a great, great place to be.
  21. I love when a random FA cup tie is on the telly and there's usually some absolute dreck that played for us in there. Brings back memories.
