Letting go of another striker (no matter how shite) and only having Bair and a crocked Obika on the books is a bold strategy.
Motherwell must be clearing the decks for at least one or two incoming.
Shaw is so hopeless I'd argue this improves our squad greatly.

Kettlewell getting rid of his summer signings like

Me now that they have been mentioned in The Thread:

McGinley after his 6 hour long chat with Kettlewell this morning.

I'd be amazed if we could get Obika out the door. If he manages it that's surely Kettlewell's finest hour. Would take a 70% fit KVV over whatever you'd get combined out of Shaw & Obika.

My favourite thing about it was Hammell saying that he'd been up at all hours of the night video chatting with Riku for weeks, and that he seemed like a great guy, and then he got here and it turned out he didn't speak a fucking word of English

It genuinely baffles me how he was ever signed, and for some unknown reason really bugs me when other Australian players get doubted because of his signing.
Whereas this is Elliot.
Think hes more of a Chris Cadden than a Max Johnston, at first glance.
All joking aside that whole debacle still makes zero sense. Months of effort to get the deal done and I swear I've never seen anyone look so far out their depth. I would love to hear exactly how this situation panned out but I fear it was solely down to Hammell thinking that Celtic have done well out of that market so why can't we.

Not sure if anyone has seen Up In The Air where George Clooney cuts about America as a freelancer paid to sack folk but I can imagine Ketts being a fan.
This is the kind of micro-niche reference that keeps me coming back.

I don't wish any ill on either but both of them are very bad at football. Cut throat Ketts strikes again.

Worth pointing at the "Danzaki was shite and hopeless in Australia too" sign again, i think.
True, but his pal he brought with him was good value on social media.

I reckon we should sign Callan Elliot & Josh Laws. Make an entire team out of players that sound like PES3 before they got any league licenses.

I would think that the sensible thing to do here to vet this A-league player is to spend every night on FaceTime to him to talk about signing. Maybe do it over a couple of months. Can't go wrong.

Wyscout has clips, a good variety of crosses, looks fairly nippy, but honestly the A-League man. Impossible to tell because it's an absolute pub league.
I've watched a few A-League games and it's complete nonsense but very entertaining. However we could end up with a Riku Danzaki or Mark Birighitti type clown show.
At least Tam Aldred looks like he's having a lovely time over there.

I’ve never seen an overreaction like it that night. They seemed to come running over from behind the other goals for about 5 minutes solid.
The next day I went into work and a guy asked me if I was alright because Sportsound were apparently reporting it as if it was a full on riot.
The whole thing happened about 10 yards in front of me and I've seen bigger stooshies in the middle aisle in Lidl. A mental overreaction from polis.

I was just thinking we need more folk to play on the left as well. We've no got enough of them.

There is a reason for this btw.
It's because he's a winger. He isn't a striker.
I'll give Kettlewell the benefit of the doubt here because the options today were either Bair or a schoolchild.

That was...fine?
We didn't make an arse of it, but it wasn't pretty. Gent as a wide midfielder has some mileage, if we could get something similar on the right that would be dead sound.
Butcher's defending for their goal was horrendous. Didn't bother challenging the header, shuffled over not really doing anything to hinder Sammon then just watched him pass it into the net.
Miller's a good player.

I'd have Halliday on ahead of Paton as a holding midfielder and way ahead of Maguire.
It's not inspiring, but it's not completely shite.

From Kettlewell on KVV “Naturally, there is communication between myself and Kevin on a personal side of things, but in terms of us bringing Kev back to the football club…
“The deal Kevin went to Groningen for, if he was to move on from there and if they even want to move him on from there, I would imagine they are going to be looking for numbers greater than we can offer.
“So, as that stands just now, I would say no, but you are always trying to bring players to your football club, and he is someone that we have an association with.
“Whether I think it is realistic that we can bring the player back in is a completely other thing.
“We need to try and be as clever as we possibly can to see if there is another opportunity of something similar [to Mika], a player who is maybe on the periphery of a bigger club and they want an opportunity for him to come and show their talent.”
That's an awful long winded way of saying probably not.

We've mentioned a competent looking right back and a competent looking midfielder in the thread so can someone at the club get their finger out and get one of them signed.

Listened to the presser while I was doing the dishes there. I'll sum up the 17 minutes so you don't have to.
- We've nae money but we need players.
- Arsenal are dicks
- Slattery's fucked.
- Montgomery was approached in the summer.
- Alloa are the underdogs.
