  1. Ended up picking up a couple of last minute tickets for Anderson .Paak last night so headed along. God damn that man is talented. And so versatile. The crowd was absolutely wall to wall hipster c***s, though.
  2. Fisher just seemed unlucky. He missed that one on one against Rangers and that was the end of that. Is he not battering in goals for Yeovil now? I could almost forgive the signing of the competition winner as well. Clearly Robinson knew we were lacking pace in wide areas and Petravicius was certainly quick. He was, however, absolutely terrible at fitba. As far as I understand it he's quietly been given a new deal that reflects his circumstances. It wouldn't exactly be fair if we cut him loose when he's got no hope of passing a medical. However even if he does come back for a run out at the end of this season that's 18 months he's been out. I'd love to see him back because he might actually fit in to this attacking system as I think our 3-5-2 battering ram last season wasn't exactly Tanner-friendly.
  3. Main will be gone at the end of the season and I can't say I'm too fussed about it tbh. He's improved in recent times to a degree but 3 goals all season when he's been the first choice striker is really just nowhere near good enough. I would like to see more of Scott in the next 8 games. There's no real harm in it and it'll give him a bit of experience in leading the line. I do expect he'll be sent out on loan to a Championship team to get kicked about a bit and I'd love to see him come back ready to fight for a place in the team. If it were up to me I'd probably send Scott on loan and completely bin Main, Johnson and Sammon. Obviously this then means we need to bring in an entirely new set of strikers but it's probably required. Unless, of course, George Newell comes back from his loan and proves to be the saviour.
  4. This Scottish business man c**t and his son are a right pair of bell pieces. They’ve just steamed in to this because they want the fucking plaudits. And if I hear him say “Madeleeeen” once more I’m going to lose my shit.
  5. I'm 5 episodes in to this and, while I don't think they necessarily done her in, the parents & the Tapas 7 know more than they're letting on.
  6. I also think it's a fairly ugly away kit. I've been a fan of the recent claret efforts that have come out but this one just doesn't do it for me.
  7. The studio stuff has definitely improved. You can see they’re settling in to being in front of the camera and it’s all the better for it. The two Duncans segments are proper laugh out loud funny.
  8. From a quick look on Wiki it seems this guy has been owner since January 2018, but I mind when Robinson took over did he not have a transfer embargo and only three contracted players. I'm fairly certain Robinson wasn't actually that bad at Oldham. Did they not have an outrageous number of clean sheets but just couldn't score?
  9. I think that's one of the things I admire most about him. He's been willing to almost admit he got it wrong and changed things up a bit to turn it around. I've got a lot of time for Robinson. The Scholes departure is a good laugh to read about but that Oldham owner seems like a total madman. It's not exactly surprising that they're jettisoning managers at a rate of knots.
  10. The audio of that goal is the most beautiful thing ever recorded. It’s the fact there are three distinct parts to it with silence in between. The thud as he takes the shot. The slap as it hits the back of the net. The collective “YAAAASSSSSSSSSSS” as that corner exploded.
  11. I reckon I'm in triple figures in watching both games right through.
  12. The fact our team was managed by an 'outsider' probably helped. If we'd had McCall or McGhee we'd have been beaten before a ball had even been kicked. Strangely this is how I felt too. That was a sitter from about 6 yards out and from then on I knew we'd be fine.
  13. That season was abject misery. Football that was eye-bleedingly bad to watch. But we closed it off by spending 180 minutes ragdolling Rangers and tbh I wouldn't change it for the world.
  14. Tbf I'm happy for him to play at LB if it means we get more of Grimshaw's marauding runs.
  15. I liked Captain Marvel. It was definitely a big chunk of all purpose cavity wall plot insulation at points but it was still very enjoyable. The first post credits scene was pretty good I thought. Looking forward to the end of April now.
  16. Even that goal against Aberdeen was exactly this! He picked the ball up and just got his head down and started running like he was in Sensible Soccer. Obviously not all players have been fitted with Turnbull's radar but at least looking up occasionally for a team mate would be a start.
  17. I won’t lie I thought Moult looked like a weak player who’d be chewed up and spat out of this league in a season when he turned up. But like you say he clearly noted that he needed to put in the work in order to force his way in to the game. The Moult that left us was unrecognisable from the one that turned up. Johnson almost looks like he’s going the opposite way. As if not being in the team is making him just completely down tools. But we did manage to get actual money for Ryan Bowman so tbh I don’t understand football transfers.
  18. So I remember Robinson saying at the start of the season that he'd need Johnson to work on his fitness so we could get 90 minutes out of him. I appreciate that the jump from the conference to here is quite steep and it's a very high tempo league to be dropped in to so I could forgive him for being out on his feet after 50 minutes in his first month or 2 up here. But if you're now into your 8th month here and you still don't have the fitness or sharpness to drop into the team in your brief opportunities it would suggest that it might be a level too far.
  19. Ally Gorrin has been a revelation since the turn of the year. He looks like a cultured player on the ball but isn't afraid to cement folk in a 50-50 either. Get him signed up. Tait appears to be the only man capable of escaping the effects of whatever hex Stevie Hammell put on the left back position. He's reasonably comfortable on either foot, he's without a doubt the best candidate to captain this squad and his current habit of picking the biggest guy on the opposition team to square up to when it kicks off is absolutely wonderful. I'd give him a 10 year deal tbqh. Gboly & Hastie have been great but there's no danger we're keeping either of them. Which is a shame because watching Gboly repeatedly tearing Gordon to shreds on Saturday was great. You could almost see him thinking "here we go again" every time Gboly took a touch. Hastie is very promising and there's no doubt he has talent. I reckon it's probably a year too soon for him to move as he'd be better served getting 50 games under his belt. It's not just sour grapes saying this, but when you look at Lee Erwin, Ben Hall and Robbie Leitch all leaving before they really got settled at this level it's hardly a list of success stories. Also, if he does go I wouldn't be exactly gutted as he's not exactly been a first team player for very long. Hopefully he does stay on, though. I've said it before, and it's now the hill I am prepared to die on, but Johnson is absolutely dreadful and doesn't deserve to even be in the running for a start or ahead of Scott of the bench. His hold up play is non-existent and he looks shattered after about 5 minutes. I'm happy to keep Scott and maybe see him go on loan next year but in the summer we need an entirely new forward line. McCormack's been a bust this season but it probably wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he turned up here again for pre-season as Villa don't want him and nobody in their right mind would pay money for him.
  20. I didn't mind the alternative timelines section. I mean it was absolute nonsense but entertaining nonetheless. I can see why folk weren't into it but I suppose it's all a bit of a learning curve. I'm looking forward to the return of Put a Shift In particularly, and I'm sure they'll have taken the criticism on board. Also please don't eat any more burgers on air.
  21. If you mixed Gboly and Lionel you’d have someone worth £150 million and lining up for Barcelona. Grimshaw is great value as well. He’s like a runaway train once he gets going.
  22. In fairness to the club we have given ridiculously long contracts to both Luke Watt and Dom Thomas in the past and couldn’t get rid of the c***s.
  23. I completely let this pass me by but I’ve watched the whole first series in 2 sittings. It’s an incredible bit of work. [emoji23]
  24. I was talking to my old man about that the other day. I mind walking in to work the next day and someone asking what the bother was about as the radio were discussing it as if there was open rioting in the stand. The 'trouble' must have been about 5 feet from where I was standing and I wouldn't even have described it as handbags tbh.
  25. Aye I saw that but I was in town anyway and thought it was worth seeing on the big screen. I thought the whole thing was great tbh. I really enjoyed seeing his preparation and that. One thing that's for sure is that he's definitely on some sort of spectrum as his attitude to the whole thing is just wild.
