  1. Went to see Free Solo at the GFT tonight. It’s absolutely excellent. A couple of the scenes are full on heart in mouth stuff.
  2. I almost think Cadden's injury helped us find this new shape. If you think just before he got injured we had Grimshaw & Cadden on the right which was working really well as it allowed him to run from deep as he's just an all out athlete. I suppose it depends on what the intention for next year is but I don't really know where we would currently fit Cadden or Tanner.
  3. Watching them present the Morton - Falkirk game was quite something. McDonald had the look of a rabbit caught in headlights when he had to do his bits directly down the camera. What I'm saying here is appoint CGT as lead anchor on these live games. I thought the whole show was great. 'Put a Shift In' had some full on belly laughs out of me and I really hope they lean in to the difference in footballing interest between the cameraman and Duncan McKay. Obviously some of the studio based stuff had a bit of nerves to it but I'd imagine over the next 9 weeks it'll evolve slightly as they grow a bit more comfortable in their roles. Also Cowdenbeath - Alloa was a beautiful montage. Central Park is one of several lower league Scottish stadiums that we must protect at all costs.
  4. If we follow up 4 call ups with a new Hastie contract I'm hitting the town.
  5. His repeated line of "I'll score goals which will see me alright" is an interesting hill to die on for him. Now fair enough he had a good record at Gateshead and has scored a few for us but we aren't really a team that can afford a guy who wants to stand in the penalty area and poach. He needs to work on his all round game in terms of holding up the ball and working alongside teammates and it sounds like Robinson's told him as much but it's falling on deaf ears. It says something about the striking options that when Main was out for whatever reason you want to believe, we opted to play an 18 year old in his first start ahead of Sammon & Johnson.
  6. Of the summer arrivals I’d be wanting Gorrín on longer terms and Johnson to be packed straight back to Gateshead. Truth be told I love the bold Ally Gorrín. He’s class af in possession but absolutely loves cementing folk in 50/50s. All the time in the world for it. Edit: I reckon what we’ve got with Gorrín is what we thought we were going to get with Bigirimana but that turned out to be a total bust.
  7. Aye pretty much. If it's a head knock or serious injury the ref can halt the game and manage it from there. And as for pre-contract agreements, alright it might be courteous bit it's not really anything to do with Livingston tbh.
  8. Can we all, as a footballing nation, just fucking chuck paying attention to "unwritten rules" ffs?
  9. I particularly enjoyed when he started criticising the tactics Killie were using when they dropped points. Bet he was one of the c***s that managed both teams in Football Manager to throw results.
  10. Tbh I'd be happy if this bullshit just completely died out. They played on and only put the ball out when the sub was ready, voluntarily ceding possession to bring a player on. If it's a head knock/serious injury and the referee brings the game to a halt then fine, stop the game and give the ball back after. Anything else and I'd be playing on.
  11. I heard them saying it on the radio and laughed out loud at it. "Give us a goal!" Aye nae bother. 2 seconds we'll just lie down. Respect to Ariyibi btw. Not only can he nutmeg a mermaid but he also appears to be made of Teflon as nothing has stuck. Great times tbh.
  12. Richard Tait should be given the captaincy, the freedom of Lanarkshire, a 25 year deal and he's welcome round mine for tea any time he wants.
  13. Booked a weekend in March there. Absolutely buzzing for this.
  14. I clocked it earlier on. Mitchell's a fucking crackpot and has been for years. Although the ex-Chief Exec of the SPL being thick as mince is probably the least surprising news anyone could receive.
  15. I try not to pay much attention to the comments of a man who has sexual intercourse with his own grandmother tbf.
  16. https://www.nme.com/news/music/trnsmt-festival-boss-responds-to-criticism-of-all-male-headliners-for-2019-2449598 Ok, fair enough, it might not be possible to book female headliners due to scheduling commitments at that time of the year. But having three female acts on the main stage across a whole weekend? Doesn't really add up.
  17. The radio station giveaways are already well underway.
  18. 100%. Gerry Cinnamon isn't my cup of tea but folk seem to love him so fair enough. He'll sell an absolute shedload of tickets on his own which means Stormzy isn't required to be a huge crowd puller. While Primavera went all in on a 50/50 split between male & female artists it would seem TRNSMT is doing the opposite. I count 3 female artists on the main stage across the whole weekend.
  19. Aye I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a player like that with us. The second he had stepped inside Mulraney I already knew he was going to burst the net. Fair play to Hearts in the second half because their shape change stopped him getting the ball further up the park for the most part, but then you see him dropping and taking the ball off Grimshaw, driving 40 yards and sliding a through ball to Turnbull. The boy's a class act. Mental how we've gone from Bigi not chasing people and Bowman running at corner flags to Turnbull being the best midfielder in the world and Hastie scoring for fun within 2 months.
  20. I’m more in shock at seeing Jess Glynne doing something that isn’t on a Jet 2 advert.
  21. God damn I miss that festival [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]. This TRNSMT line up screams brexit.
  22. That line up is a giant pile of shit. Imagine paying £150 up front for that.
  23. That announcement coupled with FF VII coming out has got me harder than a slab of granite.
  24. I'm critical of Steelmen Online as it's generally a load of folk howling at the moon. The Casagolda thread, however. Well that's some of the best content the internet has ever seen.
  25. It was an absolutely surreal time. I mind walking in to Fir Park every week wondering whether we'd score 3 or 4 regardless of the opposition. Higdon was like watching someone play FIFA on too easy a setting for a whole season.
