  1. The fact I watched that Brian Kerr doc once years ago and still have lazy leg is fucking lazy burned into my psyche should probably have had the alarm bells ringing, eh.
  2. At this point the upset would be Motherwell being in any way competent.
  3. Got to say it was mental watching a midfielder who could tackle and pass a ball. What a novel idea. Truly groundbreaking tactical nouse to come up with that.
  4. I've a lot of time for Stevie Hammell. One of my favourite ever players we have had. But it's time for him to either jump or be pushed. We've been shit for over a year now but I'd argue that was the shittest of the shit last night. Treading over old ground here but we have known for months that the midfield is in dire need of some grit, the left back position was going to need Penney replaced and our centre backs are all either not good enough or completely broken. To have gotten to February having addressed the situation by signing a youth player who has played about 5 minutes of senior football in his life is a sackable offence in and of itself. Having stuck the highlights on this morning it genuinely has all the hallmarks of a team who have completely chucked it. The defending for both goals would be a riddy at amateur fitba, never mind for a top flight (for now) side.
  5. I don't even know what the plan was at the end. 4-2-4? 4-3-3? It does sort of seem like it would be best for all involved if Hammell walked at this point. He's clearly no got the nouse to get a tune out of the squad he's got and I'm still not 100% sure what the f**k we were doing in that window there. To have watched our selection of clowns all season and not have signed anyone to even attempt to remedy it is a sackable offence in itself. Never mind against a backdrop of not having won a game since f**k knows when.
  6. Fair play to St Johnstone btw. Could probably just fire the kits back into the kitbag because I don't even think they had to break a sweet.
  7. Reckon Hammell needed a job saving second half. Now he's needing a miracle.
  8. Cannae work out what's worse. Letting Clark play keepy uppy in the box or Wright getting the whole of ML1 to himself.
  9. 11.06pm on deadline day and we're still as fucked as we were in November.
  10. Christ we're going to get relegated due to the fucking incel pipeline arent we?
  11. The two outcomes for our midfield are as follows: We are sentenced to Goss, Slattery & Spittal in there from now until forever. We sign someone who seems like an ideal candidate to play in there and they get injured after about 8 minutes of training and are out for 6 months. There is no third option.
  12. A beautifully sad hour of tv. A huge departure from the story of the game but incredibly well done. Did make you feel like having a big ugly cry at the end.
  13. I'd probably be alright with Watt coming back but FOR f**k SAKE SORT OUT THE DEFENCE, STEVIE!
  14. Aye I'd agree. It's a great game and it's incredibly polished but it couldn't quite reach the level of Elden Ring. There's also the fact Elden Ring has more "optional" content than most games have actual content.
  15. In recent times there's been seasons where I thought we'd go down but have done something that's hauled us clear (signing Scott McDonald, essentially). This season I am absolutely convinced we're down. Another calamity of a goal to lose yesterday which is par for the course at this point. McGinn and Goss are so, so passive going out to shut the wide man down. Nobody follows the runner, then Slattery literally pulls himself out of the way of the cross. As per usual Lamie's having a sleep while Blaney's got no chance. And the less said about Liam Kelly the better. FWIW I don't think there's a chance we'll sack Hammell but this run should be sacking material. But the fact we're now 2 days away from the window slamming shut and have done nothing at all to sort out the left back situation or the colossal gap in front of the already horseshit defence is concerning. Unless we pull off a miracle in the transfer market we're 100% crashing straight into the Championship.
  16. Aye that centre mid berth needs filled pronto. We probably haven't had anyone properly in there since Carl McHugh's spell or Ally Gorrín fly kicking folk while on a booking. We've had Maguire, Crawford & Donnelly for the last couple of years which has been about as you'd expect.
  17. I can only assume Hammell's forgotten whereabouts he buried that cursed amulet at this point.
