  1. The bike is probably not too bad. There's a big scrape on the saddle, the rear derailleur is a bit scratched and I need new bar tape. The right gear shifter is also a bit twisted but that's an easy fix. I'm taking it in to the local bike shop my pal uses all the time for a proper service to make sure I don't miss something critical though. It's a few years old now but I still love that bike. Reckon I'd burst into tears seeing an S-Works get destroyed like that. When I was up doing Etape Loch Ness a couple of years back some of the bikes folk had up there were just unbelievable. At the finish when I went for a pint I hung it on the rail next to a pristine new Cervelo S5 with the full DI-2 shebang. Probably cost as much as my motor did.
  2. f**k sake what was the point in her even turning up.
  3. Aye I really like Komoot for that. Particularly when I'm trying to add on bits where I'm not familiar with the roads. Last time I used Google maps for that I wound up having to get off and put my bike over the shoulder as the road it took me on had since been partly demolished up near Strathaven. Injuries are well on the mend. Obviously the miraculous outcome of avoiding any sign of concussion was great. I got in touch with Oakley who gave me 50% off a replacement ARO5 so I got that delivered last week. Figured it was worth the money to go like-for-like. The road rash on my arse & shoulder was grim. Had to peel my trousers off it every morning, similarly with the one on my shoulder. I've got some gnarly photos including one where a big patch of it stuck to my t shirt over night. My elbow was the deepest wound by far. They couldn't stitch it because I was missing a chunk so there was nothing to stitch together. Fortunately having a recently retired nurse for a maw came in handy so I could get the dressings changed properly every day for the first while. Initially I'd obviously destroyed all the nerves in my elbow because it didn't hurt too much getting it cleaned. Then on the first night of the euros my girlfriend & I set about cleaning the wound and I nearly passed out due to the pain. Most of it is healed but the scarring is a fair chunk of my forearm. So I'm going for the pregnant woman approach and slapping Bio-Oil all over it every day. The Felt still needs a bit of TLC before I get back out on the road bike but fortunately I've got my Brompton to zip about on to get myself back in the saddle.
  4. As my mate big Kev would say: De stilte van de club is oorverdovend.
  5. Well that's a bonus. Wasn't sure if you were familiar with it. Exporting from Komoot is much, much more straightforward that Garmin's in house solution. They did (relatively) recently release the Edge 830 so that's probably a shout or maybe that's driven the price of the 820 down so you can get a bargain.
  6. I use a Garmin Edge 820. You can sync a route to it but the Garmin route making web application you can use to draw the route is infuriating at times. It does, however, support third party apps like Komoot etc. that are a bit more user friendly (Komoot only gives you one region free and then it's a subscription). Overall I would recommend the Garmin though.
  7. Got my letter about a second dose in a couple of weeks time. Cannae wait lads. Disappointed I didn't get a nosey round the mosque for dose 1 tbh. Got the bus past it thousands of times and it looks right interesting.
  8. Garlic naan is the go to. Peshwari naan if I'm going for something spicy. And the correct power ranking of pakora is: Mushroom Veg Fish Chicken
  9. Saag paneer, side of naan and a portion of pakora. This post is brought to you by the no rice gang.
  10. Just think. If he had signed we'd have been massively better off. Even if he'd went in a huff and never actually played for us we'd have been better off just by him not fucking scoring against us all the time.
  11. Shannon's definitely number 1 imo. That accent though. Foot fetish lad filming that on his phone was fucking creepy.
  12. We are definitely signing this guy.* *One of us can delete our posts.
  13. Still not sure how Caleb Ewen came about crashing. Touch of wheels? Or was it just moving across Sagan? Looked absolutely grim whatever it was.
  14. For the full effect you need to reply to whatever Burrows is tweeting about. Doesn't matter if he's wishing his wife a happy anniversary or if he's just got a new couch delivered.
  15. That last 20km was absolute carnage again. Crashes all over the shop.
  16. Hugely agree with all of this. But mainly the last bit. No sure I can handle us signing 8 pish wingers that never play for another season.
  17. Aye I think the club will be hesitant to have such a bloated squad again. I kind of understood why Robinson was trying his whole improving 12-18 strategy but that squad at the end of last season was a flabby mess. I think it's preferable to be signing players who can drop straight in to a starting XI as a priority then we can look at improving the squad as a whole. That and having a big weird Dutch guy up front. We'll be sound.
  18. I cannae mind if it was on here I said it but Crawford is the most nearly football player there is. Nearly makes a pass. Nearly wins a tackle. He's no for me.
  19. Was Nadir prolific? Not really. Was it a great big laugh when he nutmegged 3 Accies players before scoring a toe poke? Absolutely. Give me a mercurial winger over a 6/10 jobber any day.
  20. Having now seen him described as mercurial I am completely on board with this as a signing.
  21. After a pish result I have seen references to Charli XCX and some smashing looking prawn dishes on an Indian menu. Never change, troops.
  22. Can only assume we have applied to make our league cup games 5-a-sides due to us having nae players and a captain conquering Europe one spice boy at a time.
