  1. The Lowland League that extended the March 31st deadline leading to the relegation of a founding member is all about conservatism? It was BSC that originally proposed a WoSFL which kickstarted a lot of this. The LL2 idea is a way to bring more clubs in from the West of Scotland and get a more inclusive pyramid by breaking the deadlock with the SJFA. The only thing that can be self preservation was trying to change the relegation rule this year due to Selkirk going bust, which is hopefully going to be a unique set of circumstances and understandable considering the situation.
  2. It was expected until quite late in the season that the West Region would be in the pyramid for the 2019-20 season. They'll be discussing what to do at their AGM but I don't think there was the rush to move to the EoSFL at a lower tier or SoSFL due to the standard of the league compared to where they are. 3. Probably more chat over Lowland League 2 unless there's a breakaway WoSFL looking likely.
  4. Licensed: Blackburn United Broxburn Athletic Burntisland Shipyard (need floodlights) Coldstream (need floodlights) Dundonald Bluebell Easthouses Lily MW Hawick Royal Albert United Hill of Beath Hawthorn Jeanfield Swifts Linlithgow Rose Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale Penicuik Athletic Preston Athletic Tynecastle Whitehill Welfare (need floodlights) Just need floodlights: Camelon Juniors Haddington Athletic Tranent Juniors St Andrews United Ongoing applications: Dalkeith Thistle Edinburgh United Musselburgh Athletic Newtongrange Star Awaiting approval to begin process: Dunipace Then you've got the likes of Bo'ness that you imagine will begin an application once they've got their ground sorted over the summer. With one or two others as well.
  5. For now you could maybe just do Jeanfield v Kinnoull qualify to play St Johnstone for the Cup?
  6. It's going to be tough on them. We've seen how Borders football is struggling. At least they've got that history of keeping it close and there's not much between themselves, Gala, Dalbeattie, Gretna and Edinburgh University.
  7. I'm hoping WW stay up. Last season seemed to be a bit of an outlier compared to previous seasons. With a new board, backroom staff and a proven goalscorer signed up they've hopefully corrected a lot of what went wrong last year.
  8. With the occasional chat that in x number of years the Lowland League will be completely different. I was wondering what the all time standings were to try and guess who the surprise candidates would be for hanging around. Of course not every season has had the same number of games or the same the clubs in it, so it's not a fair comparison. Certainly those clubs with a negative Goal Difference stand out as those clubs expected to battle relegation in the coming years. Same is probably true for Dalbeattie and CSS who are only in single digits with at least 3 seasons under their belt. Stirling University is probably the one that goes a little unmentioned as hanging around mid to long term. To try and compare everyone fairly, this is the average for a fictional 30 game season. Edusport finishing bottom of the current clubs is somewhat surprising to me as they've never even finished in the bottom two since joining the league.
  9. 89 teams in the Non-League Pyramid for 2019/20. With 2 leagues at every tier. Just not regionally as everything's lopsided in the Lowland League direction of course. 5th TIer 6th Tier 7th Tier
  10. Just curious how things compared with the confirmed changes. There's the expectation of the Premier bounce over last year's Conferences, Berwick losing fans with relegation but Bonnyrigg and Berwick might also bring out some additional fans to the LL and Edusport might start to garner a fanbase of their own now that they have a home.
  11. Kelty and Edusport were all in Round One when they were promoted. So don't see why Bonnyrigg wouldn't be this time.
  12. With how quick how everyone's acted today, it's good to know that the clubs have known what's happening for a wee while and were just waiting on the SFA to drop another clanger.
  13. They do have News sections that cover their various activities https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/news/ I'm sure they will get around to announcing something. It's a bit different this year with there being 8 new members. Maybe the Scottish Cup draw will have a special mention, but in the recent past there was the likes of: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/lothian-thistle-hutchison-vale-become-90th-scottish-fa-member-club/?rid=13929 https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/kelty-hearts-confirmed-as-the-89th-scottish-fa-member-club/?rid=13929
  14. This was posted by the Lowland League twitter a day after they had their LL AGM.
  15. They're also looking to change the rules this year, so it's not like it's something that's set in stone never to be changed.
  16. You only get the odd snippet. I'm not aware of any of the HFL that publishes their attendances. Going by a bit in the SFA licensing manual every club should have a system in place to account for the numbers going through the gate as a minimum. Don't know if @Burnieclub78 has tried to include the Highland League as part of his impressive attendance project. I know I would appreciate seeing their inclusion (sorry for suggesting even more work your way!)
  17. So you need to be an Associate Member for 3 years and get to the 7th Tier in English Football to be a Full Member. Not sure if you lose Full membership status if you get relegated from Tier 7 though.
  18. At the moment it's not exactly clear to me what's going on with this. A number of clubs are showing themselves to have been awarded "Full Membership" to the SFA. People are saying that any Associate Membership only ends if you get promoted to Tier 5. Does that mean if they are promoted and relegated straight away to the go Associate-Full-Associate, or simply getting Tier 5 status allows them to retain Full Membership from then on? With these new 6 membership forms not worth the paper they're printed on because they're actually Associate Members now? The ruling needs clarified.
  19. I've no idea how kelty voted. Perhaps recent is the wrong word. I meant the number of non league support there must have been. Not knowing exactly how this full membership associate membership divide will work it's not that surprising. There's nothing below the HFL so combined with the SPFL that's 59 potential votes for no obvious change to themselves and disadvantaging others. Then you've got 16 at Tier 5 and 4 outwith the pyramid. That just leaves a grand total of 10 clubs at Tier 6 or 7.
  20. What do you consider recent license holders?
  21. 89 members with a vote. So 3 didn't vote on it apparently. 75 Tier 5 or above 14 Tier 6/7 or outwith the pyramid.
  22. If the 19 point deduction is true and they ended up in the North Premier League this would of been the comparison. They would of been a bit of an outlier either way with Scone and Luncarty in the North Super League. Although there's the possibility of Newburgh being shifted North as well. I'd say the EoS offers more interest than playing the same 8 clubs 3/4 times a year.
