  1. Not necessarily. There was that moment when WOS was going to be run by Global Force Wrestling aka the failed TNA/Impact rebrand. AEW also has links with other promotions. So WOS could be ITV1 taped family friendly fodder with AEW supporting the infrastructure and AEW tucked away on ITV4 for the adults. Gives the likes of Kip Sabian something to do as AEW probably won't have house shows anytime soon.
  2. The 70k thing seems strange to me, what with Linlithgow Rose already licensed and with floodlights. Are you trying to say you're still paying off borrowing that money? Otherwise how would you be disadvantaged financially this season on the field?
  3. Think the moratorium and the like has been mentioned as things to reference to an appeal. Another would be some clubs were physically audited in December. Which went before the licensing committee in February and was supposed to be heard by the sfa board in February. If these decisions had been made then, clubs would have had 3 months to sort something.
  4. Don't think EoS & SoS officially joined the pyramid until 2014/15. Which I think is after Linlithgow were licensed.
  5. If you'd seen above I already said there's nothing against it and that nobody thought to tie in the youth aspects and first team to a local area. I get why you're defensive about it because BSC are regularly targeted. But right now there are 3 clubs get an excessive amount of stick simply for not having floodlights. There are other clubs that simply rented out compliant grounds some local, some not, and i'd consider that a worse situation. Which is something BSC can understand and agree with otherwise they wouldn't be working on getting their own place closer to home eventually.
  6. The Lowland League also change their rules and gave a fixed kick-off time for midweek games this year. Think that was a nudge to their membership, so i'm sure the 3 in particular are working on it. It's just that these things aren't the easiest thing to get done though. Everyone knows that which is why it's seen as the SFA curtailing new members. In reference to Camelon it has been said that they won't be able to get it done until the end of the 2019/20 season. So there's a similar sized club, if not bigger, saying it'll take 18 months from the rule change. Nope, nothing against it. There's some parts of licensing related to youth football. Nobody thought to say that your youth football activites and first team play happen in the same general vicinity of each other.
  7. I'm sure they're all very well aware of that and by the sounds of things CSS already have lights sourced. Someone on here has also mentioned some potential costs for WW beyond simply installation. I find it strange how these 3 clubs have gotten the most stick today. There are 2 clubs in the LL that couldn't get a ground sorted in their local area and have been renting grounds 30-70 odd miles away instead. Would of thought those would be the main targets over the failings of the licensing system.
  8. Don't know how to link Facebook EDIT: Is this really all the rejected clubs got in their emails? "Regarding the above, I am write to confirm that following consideration by the Board, your application for membership of the Scottish Football Association has been rejected as your club is not complaint with current Entry Level criteria – specifically provision of floodlighting. I appreciate this is disappointing news however I’m sure you can understand the Scottish FA’s desire to continue to improve standards within our game. Regards Ian Maxwell Chief Executive Scottish Football Association"
  9. WW were audited in October 2018. You'll probably be audited around the same time this year, depends on what you get told then. Imagine you'll be fine through the end of the 2019/20 season as they won't pull a license mid-season.
  10. Surprisingly enough no I didn't look at 20 years of fixture lists and a map of Germany. One of the reasons being the Top 20 best attended clubs doesn't equal the 20 teams that would make up the 3rd Tier. See how there are a bunch of 4th Tier clubs with higher attendances than 3rd.
  11. So I tried to find a comparison and as always in Scotland let's compare ourselves to Germany Only a difference of 16/17 times the population. But it's not actually Scotland v. Germany. It's Germany's regional 3rd Tier compared to the National 3rd Tier they introduced from 2008/09. Above as is the Regional Tier 3 stats. I created the Average for the top 20 best attended clubs to give something to compare to when the 3rd Tier goes National. As you'll notice they actually reduced the number of clubs from 70+ to 36/37 a couple of years in to it. This slight move would actually gradually increase attendances. Then we've got the 10 years for the 20 team National 3rd Tier. Some of the Regional years would see a better Top 20 average compared to the National 20. But the 10 year average for both Regional and National works out as: Seems like National wins
  12. Supposedly there were 12 applications that went in front of the SFA Board 6 with floodlights and 6 without. The 6 without went in front of the board for them to decide if a derogation would be accepted.
  13. The breakdown I suggested is more for existing members. The main thing that the SFA board do is conference the SFA membership. I think after that everything is handled by the licensing committee.
  14. I would, and the moratorium and things like that. The whole reason for the moratorium was supposedly to sort the pyramid issue and they never did anything. Wasting 6 months where clubs could of been licensed in 2018
  15. I don't think he does. CSS, VoL and WW aren't clubs that just rented an SPFL ground and walked in. They're clubs that have made the gradual improvements that have gone with licensing as it has evolved over the last 6+ years. I'm sure all 3 are all looking at the floodlight issue since it became a requirement. And unfortunately may have looked already and there's a reason why they have gotten them so far.
  16. It's not just the license, it's the SFA membership that goes with it as I recall.
  17. In Camelon's case they will have the blow lessened somewhat having already gained a Scottish Cup spot next season. I think Bonnyriggs plan is to have floodlights in this summer. So hopefully they will get accepted.
  18. Definitely see the SPFL splitting their cash 80 ways instead of 42. Or is the mythical increased attendance over less games going to cover that as well?
  19. Strange how every club from regional to national in the last 25 years has seen an increase in attendance.
  20. Fails to notice the 16 team SOS is already done for the season.
  21. Think the LL & EoS would be alright with it. Plus with the SFA saying they'd take control of all tier 6 leagues it won't make much difference to them. Allows for the North, East & West clubs to sit outside the pyramid still under the SJFA banner, while minimizing the potential number clubs seeking licensing.
  22. That's what I was wondering it says 2 promoted automatically from League One and HL & LL champions automatically promoted. That's your 44.
  23. I think the bigger deal is if you can get to double digits, you can probably end up swaying the majority. Just look at how things worked last year in the East. Clubs didn't want to get left behind.
