  1. I once came across this name on facebook: "Aryan Niazzi" It needs no comment really.
  2. Could have warned me not to open that link on the bus whilst sitting next to an old woman. She either looks disgusted or excited, can't tell from this angle.
  3. Survation Yes 48% (+1) No 52% (-1) And looks like the Sun are staying neutral.
  4. Yes 48% No 52% http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/scottish-independence-poll-icm-puts-yes-up-to-48-1-3543614
  5. 3:39 here by the strava clock. My mate was struggling a bit on the hills but i wasn't intending on leaving him. Had a cracking day out on the bike, well worth the effort.
  6. Ready to go here - will be on strava come Sunday. Weather looking fantastic.
  7. Cracking day for a cycle. Wee trip down the borders with a mate. Great ride by plagued with mechanical faults on his new bike and the fact that he was feeling a bit shitty meant it was slowwwww. Still, enjoyed it muchly. Can be seen on Strava for anyone in the group.
  8. One of my mates is currently doing a Traineeship (insurance lawyer). He frequently talks about these prats. He also mentions that he has never seen them win but generally the waste a lot of everyone's time in the process.
  9. I'm also registered for the PFS - should be a good fun wee day out. Havent yet managed anything of significant length but planning a day out in the borders next weekend. Need to stretch the legs a wee bit. Havent been out in a while.
  10. I agree with a lot of the above. There does seem a lot of emphasis on how 'evil' Israel are but there never seems to be much reporting on a more balanced argument. Hamas have launched 2,255 Rockets in the last 19 days. A fair chunk of that was ceasefires set by either side. How about Hamas stop firing rockets then see what happens? Bored of all this shite now, both sides need their heads knocked together.
  11. No one is claiming its simple, I just don't see how you can easily defend a (group/force/people) who break a ceasefire and have done on a number of previous occasions. Again I am in no way defending Israel, this argument is just more balanced than many are suggesting.
  12. No one asked them to fire the rockets either. They were fully aware the option for (at least temporary) peace existed.
  13. I can only dream of a KOM might make my own segment so I can get one for myself!
  14. Its a fair point. I agree that this latest salvo is well over the top. I just dislike the fact that many seem to completely ignore the fact that Hamas are firing untarget rockets towards population centres. Because their rockets are poor quality and Israel have missile defences doesn't mean it isn't an issue to be considered.
  15. Pitty its not a hybrid though.... And under £200
  16. Slightly disagree with this. I have a triban 3 (road bike) from Decathlon. It currently costs £250 and is an absolute bargain. Carbon forks, shimano gears, ALU frame, good bike. No real issues either. Its over the budget and not a hybrid but a great bike!
  17. At fucking work with 0 motivation. Still, the team got me a cake. Not all bad.
  18. Its not quite the same scale or issues but it's a fair point. As for the figures on deaths, a quick Google from me shows about half the websites reporting that the Palestine's are the 'worst' and the other half the Israelis. I'm just arguing that this is more balanced than many perceive.
  19. Late reply - Sorry! I agree with your premise but if you feel you are being treated badly, is the solution either: A) Open discussions and sort the problem like adults using mature dialogue, persuasion and negotiations. B) Fire an unguided missile into a random populated area not targeting those who are causing you harm but instead harming innocent civilians. Clearly neither side is 'right' in this ridiculous event but I kinda think at least Israel target (or at least attempt to) Hamas rather than just blindly bombing housing estates. Again - Neither side are dealing with this well but I honestly believe that Hamas are the greater of the two evils.
  20. Imagine that Barrhead is occupied by a group of people who feel that the government are not the true government and instead of attempting to resolve issues through politics resort to having a terrorist group run things. Now imagine this terrorist group carries out unguided untargeted attacks against say the city of Glasgow. Imagine you are a citizen of Glasgow. How do you feel? What do you want the government to do knowing that political dialogue simply isn't working? Oh and I am in no way pro-isreal, I can just look at both sides of the argument.
  21. https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sunday-29th-june/ £30 bike stand at Aldi today. Absolute bargain. Picket up one of the jerseys too, just to see what the quality is like - actually not bad.
  22. Maybe someone should select a more readable font colour?
