  1. Hopefully (money allowing) going to see:-

Staind, Hinder, 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, Black STone Cherry at Atlantas HIFI Buys Amphitheatre on 30th September. If get lots more money next paycheck maybe Evansblue at Augusta Mission on the 19th.

  2. I think it's "The Rage: Carrie 2."

Haven't seen it, but I've read there is a suicide in the film, and I know there wasn't one in the first or the remake. Sounds like it, I suppose?

I couldnt remember a suicide in the first one either, but its been ages since i saw it. Carrie 2 could be a possibility too.

  3. Watched a film on BBC 1 last night after MOTD,some horror film which i forget the name of but it was pretty decent. Some lassie went a bit off the rails after her friend committed suicide and it turned out she had some disorder that enabled her to move things with her mind and she caused a huge amount of death at a party after being humiliated by other folk at her school following the event.

    Carrie ?

  4. Remember the Titans

I love this film! I know it sticks to the real story as much as Braveheart did (in other words it doesn't!), but I still think it's a cracking film about a sports team bonding regardless of race, and how the community can learn from them. Denzel Washington is a great actor and puts in another fine performance.

I watched it last night too. One of the best films ever made. Also one of the few films that always gets a lump in the back of my throat at the end. No matter how many times you see it, it will still shock me at that point.

Also, Denzel washington shows why he is one of the best actors ever in it ;)

    This Year's Love

It was on BBC1 last night and I caught in from about 15mins in. Interesting wee film about a microcosm in Camden where a group of people share their partners/ex-partners (sometimes unknowingly) with each other over the course of a few years. I dislike the fact that the mentalist nerd shares my first name though! I think it's touted as a comedy but it's pretty depressive in places. Kathy Burke is fantastic in it as a backing singer to David Gray - who was virtually unknown at the time and plays a pub singer. Because of this, it also features a lot of songs from "White Ladder" on the songtrack (including the title track). Despite it being set in London it does feature a lot of Scottish faces and Catherine McCormack continues using the Scottish accent she used in Braveheart.

It is possibly the worst film i have ever seen. THey should have cut in after 5 minutes and spliced the last 5 minutes there and then, saving atleast 10 minutes of your life.

  5. Harold and Kumar: Get The Munchies

    1/10

SO its not Harold and Kumar go to White Castle in teh UK then?

I watched Annapolis yesterday. Film about Naval training base in the US. Typical army training film with bad evil drill sargeants picking on people and making them into great sailors in the end. Enjoyable film to watch nevertheless. 7/10

  6. Nonsense, everyboy knows that Seagal is god B) .

It's all in the hand speed :)

I watched it last night for about the....ooh 43rd time or so. My favourite part of the movie is when Erika Eleniak (or whatever she's called) jumps out of the cake. It's amazing how she falls asleep through gun fire but wakes up when she's giving a gentle nudge.

Im waiting for whoever has the boring Seagal alias to see the comment

  7. Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 - Dead Man's Chest

    ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.

I literally cannot find a fault with this film at all. The visuals, plot, characters, twists, turns are just bloody amazing. Give that man Depp an Oscar NOW!

    10/10

    Really?

All the reviews i have heard about it are awful. Apparently it had half of the people leaving the cinema half way through, with the other half sleeping :o which is dissapointing considering how good the first film is. Will probably still see it, but im not holding my breath expecting anythign brilliant.

Last film i saw was Hostage, with Bruce Willis.

Thought it was a great film, with almost everything you want to see (no hot women in it is the only thing i thought was missing). Good story line and plenty of action.

    8/10

  8. Saw X Men 3 yesterday, typical superhero film ,not much different to the rest. Still enjoyable enough however (and has Halle Berry in it :D :D :D).

    7/10.

Best bit about the cinema experience however was seeing the trailer for Superman, and thinking Kevin Spacey was born to play lex luther :)

  9. I watched Brokeback Mountain last night 7/10

Beautifully directed and didn't make an 'issue' if the whole gay thing. I know that's what the film was about, but Ang Lee didn't turn it into a 'campaign ' film or anything. He just shot the story. Heath Ledger is particularly impressive in it. Mumbles a hell of a lot though.

It has to be said, it was a little bit one-paced and got quite boring towards the end. You might say it ran out of puff  . I quite enjoyed it , though.

Toward the end? oh shit. Ive got to not long after he got married and thought it was one of the most boring films ive ever seen :o

  10. Blood Work:- 7/10

Very well written story by Michael Connelly apparently well stuck to from the book (not read it). The only dissapointing thing about it is it was way too obvious. It would have been better if they had kept one or two details from the audiance. Otherwise a very good film with Clint eastwood being clint eastwood :) More michael connelly books should be made into films :D

  11. The story, if it is true, IS moving and inspiring, it's just a shame that the film based on the story is schmaltzy, sentimental, manipulitave shite.

It's as if the director had a list of Cheesy Underdog Triumphing Against Adversity cliches which he checked off.

Gruff bully who eventually softens - check

Swelling strings in the background of every supposed 'moving' scene - check

Uptight superior who gets embarassing comeuppance - check

    etc etc

This film made me nauseous thanks to it's blend of Grade A Hollywood cheese and unsubtle American jingoism.

it is true ;) they have documentaries on the real life person all the time. ;)

although discussing this makes me want to watch Radio now :) (another film you all probably think is sentimental manipulative shite  )
