Went to see Mr n Mrs Smith at the $1 cinema we have, and it was better than expected. Some funny moments, and seeing Angelina Jolie half naked is always good and that S&M outfit too *drool*

This past week i watched :-
Coach Carter :- Samual L Jackson as Basketball coach, kind of like dangerous minds, turning hopeless kids destined to be killed/in jail into winners. True story and well worth anyone watching it, absolutely brilliant performances.
9/10
Meet the Fockers :-
Funnier than i thought, think De Niro can be one of the funniest actors around by being so straightfaced about things. 7/10 not bad at all.
Italian Job (remade one) :- Thought was going to be awful going by some reviews, but wasnt that bad. Obviously was never going to touch the original in class, but if the original wasnt made i reckon more people would have enjoyed it. Also didnt do a total remake of it, adding new spins to things. Good movie as a stand alone, doesnt come close to being as good as original which i think puts most off.

Got Ladder 42 and Constantine also from blockbuster to watch this week, and Seven on the way for "backing up" so going to be a good week of films.

Million Dollar Baby 10/10.
Brilliant acting on all 3 main parts, brilliant storyline and the ending brings up very important questions
definitely worth all the oscars it won.

White Noise :-
5/10
Was a good idea but it took way too long to get going then suddenly was over. Only an hr and a half long is no way near long enough for the film, unless they plan to take out a follow up. So much more could have been done.
The girl in the cafe :-
Supposed to be a comedy with Kelly Mcdonald, however was more political than anything else (about G8 summit). Acting was great in it and was some funny moments and i enjoyed it
6/10
Incredibles :-
Was funny moments throughout, typical pixar movie, fell asleep before the end but that was due to tiredness rather than boredom.

Suspect Zero
Very good film, Ben Kingsley was brilliant in it, and a great storyline overall, however horrific.

as for the terminal (forgot to quote someone), i enjoyed it too. Dont mind Mrs douglas that much, certainly not the worst actress in the world. Quite like Tom Hanks actually

I would hope people dont say it was good just because everyone else does....... but that they liked it There has to be someone with no taste that doesnt like a film everyone else does however, so i take it thats you in this case

FFS are you just wanting to be different from everyone else i thought it was an absolute brilliant film.....
Are you one of those people that if the start doesnt have 10 explosions and 200 people die in first 5 minutes you dont get into the film?

Fantastic film, one of my favourites.
Can i ask you opinion on something, cause me and my mates have had many arguments over the end of this film. When jigsaw leaves adam in the room at the end and closes the door and says game over then closes the door.
My friend thinks when he closes the door it means adam will die.
What i think is:
You can see they key in the bath has a luminous tag (one that lights up when it goes dark) you do see it go down the plug hole, but the tag is far too big for it to go down the hole so i think when jigsaw says game over, he is saying adam won the game, because his mission was to stay alive, which he did and when jigsaw closes the door, it means its completely dark in the room and adam can find the key in the bath and get the chains off
What do you think?? am i looking into it too much?
I think you are right. He did what he had to do, and it was the Dr who actually failed, along with the porter guy. Hence i think jigsaw was giving Adam the chance ot escape, and going to make sure the Dr doesnt live. Another great thing was the way the story was told, with it being told after the original things had taken place (with the cop getting shot etc) you dont think jugsaw could be who it is

Blade Trinity 8/10
Heard horrible reviews about it, but i really enjoyed it. Had a good storyline, plenty action, you didnt have to think about it, and some of the special effects were brilliant.

Talented Mr Ripley, getting a go of Ripleys game to back up this week, so had to watch Talented Mr Ripley before hand
7/10
Not the best film ever, but its interesting to see how he keeps getting out of difficult situation. Looking forward to seeing John Malkovich in the role of Ripley.

7/10 actually not a bad film, funny at times, and good story to it with a great moral (that anyone can change their stars if they make the most out of the 1 chance they get in life)

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

From what your saying SJ the film must have been boring that you noticed loads of obvious advertising, as i never in films that have the most obvious (unless it is part of the film) Im with Stewarty on this one, id rather it was obvious what they were playing instead of some non descript box, as it does add realism to the film, even although it was a fantasy film. IT makes it much more beleivable, and to me what the film needs to make it more enjoyable.....
AS for last film, i watched Master and Commander, really enjoyable film. 8/10. (with blatant rum advertising;) )
