  1. Welling United 4 Gosport Borough 2 FA Cup replay, very enjoyable game at a neat ground where crowd change ends at half time. The 50:50 draw seller was a Dumbarton fan. £15 entry + £2 to sit in one of the 2 stands. Crowd 443
  2. Charlton / Dumbarton fan here. Plus points of DJ are that he can sometimes wriggle out of tight spots on the wing, generally at his best in one touch plays and that he is a good community ambassador. However, he rarely makes good use of the ball. He seemed to be signed on the basis that he scored a couple of crackers against us while at Swindon. On his last game he seemed to be carrying a bit of timber. Charlton have been trying to offload him for a while now and I'm a bit shocked that he got as good a gig as St. Johnstone. Hope he does well for you.

  4. @microdave have you contacted Carers of West Dunbartonshire? https://carerswd.org/ They might be able to give you some advice. I care for my Mum, but she gets 4 visits a day from WDC Carers, all arranged when she was discharged from hospital 4 years ago. Sounds like your Mum has fallen between 2 stools in that respect. You're doing an amazing job but you also need some help and a bit of respite, all the best
  5. Too late for a postponement (if that state ever exists at DFC) but not for an abandonment??
  6. Well Ben Dempsey and Dipo Akinyemi hardly pulled up trees there but are regular starters at Championship Ayr
  7. That strikes me as very plausible, and not calling for a pitch inspection was a very, very bad call. Can't defend DFC on this occasion.
  8. I’m very fond of Josh Savage
  9. Don't know that pub, but will check it out next time I get down to SE
  10. "I cut my teeth working on bespoke luxury residential which were often in sensitive locations or listed." Don't like the sound of that
  11. Based on the figures on vaccine supply in the withdrawn vaccine deployment plan we should now have 1.7 million doses, so with nearly 1.5 million doses adtually given it seems that the supply is as expected
  12. @ballochsonsfan Is Flew The Arrow the bloke who describes most of his songs in terms of his mental health issues? If its the same bloke then I’ve seen him there before and it was a harrowing and unrewarding watch. Sorry I missed Carson McHone, ill health prevented me from attending.
  13. Sorry to disappoint the jaikies but coaches there are governed by The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc), Act, 1985, which specifically prohibits the carrying or consuming of alcohol on coaches travelling to or from designated sporting events, which includes all senior football matches
  14. You're also a short bus ride from the O2 Dome, and there's nearly always stuff on there. Charlton are at home on Saturday and they often have kids activities on in the Car Park, not sure what they've got lined up this week though. As said earlier Greenwich Market is great and the park leading up to the Observatory is huge. Here's the local tourist info website http://www.visitgreenwich.org.uk/
  15. "Meanwhile the manager continues to work at adding to the playing squad with the opening of the summer transfer window tomorrow (9th June) approaching" i.e. PITK
  16. Cheers for the replies @Heart of Northern and @paranoid android. Fair to say even the Charlton fans that want him back have these and other reservations about him.
  17. Chris Sutton on commentary tonight said he heard that Tony Watt would be heading back to Charlton as this month's manager wants him back. Your thoughts?
  18. Ben Caplan at King Tuts tonight. First saw him there in January this year thanks to a tip from Fallen Angels afficionados and it remains my favourite gig of the year.
  19. I had all the grounds in Scotland prior to the addition of Ross County & ICT. Still to go to those 2 plus Annan, Falkirk & St Mirren new grounds and Annan. Down South I've been to The Valley (Charlton), Fulham, Barnet (Underhill and The Hive), Dagenham & Redbridge (match postponed [emoji23] ), Orient (for the beer festival, not football), Carlisle, Preston, Blackpool, Bury, Hartlepool, Blackpool, Brighton, Wigan, (new) Wembley, Dulwich Hamlet and Penzance
  20. It's fine - expect it'll be a sellout so getting a drink will be murder (and take you away from the stage), but there is a monitor to watch while waiting to be served. Will also be really hot, enjoy!
  21. Played Hallway, Williamette and Always on the Ride from Post to Wire tonight, most of the songs from the new album. Confirmed final Scottish gig at The Caves, Edinburgh on 18 October. Four Walls was closer tonight, the archetypal RF tour song - Willy Vlautin, the outstanding lyricist of this generation finishes on a song that enables the rest of the band to demonstrate their undoubted talent, God I'll miss them
  22. Thoroughly enjoyed Sam Outlaw on Thursday, great songs and "banter"
