  1. "A tactic I'd only previously seen in Northern Ireland" Can we stop importing pish from Northern Ireland like sectarianism, riot tactics and Josh Magennis?
  2. I have. But I only get to half a dozen games a year. When we went up last season the majority of folk on here were talking about finishing bottom or staying up via the play offs if we were lucky as we'd kept the majority of the squad who barely squeaked over the line against part timers the year before. But that core group was something Morton had been missing for years. We always seem to have half the squad leave and nearly new starting XIs year on year. He shows trust in his players and gets it reciprocated. Even when we were challenging Partick for promotion a few years ago there wasn't that sense of togetherness with the squad as there is now. Team full of, to use a cliché, "good, honest pros" that just needs a wee sprinkling of quality here and there in the right places and he's usually managed to find it through the loan market.
  3. McCluskey's gonna be a player a lot of fans will realise how good he was once he leaves. Worked well in our system offering something direct from the flank and covered a load of ground with his defensive duties. A few shanked crosses and mishit passes and too many only looked at him from an attacking view point and focused on the negatives. Little bit worried about the season ahead. Happy with the defence and central midfield but after losing Barr, McCluskey and the boys on loan we've got nothing going forward at all apart from a few untested youngsters. The Duff hasn't let me down so far with signings, yet, and it's a solid base to build on but to rebuild an entire attacking set up's a dodgy one
  4. Not quite. There are a coupla "hints" they are one and the same. Jaqen knows things about Arya that Arya never mentioned. Could be Jaqen can just read people well or does his homework on folk. But it's not totally without merit.
  5. Is that all the Children of the Forest deid noo? Was that the last of them?
  6. This is the most unnecessary bump of all time. This thread will be going long after the 2017 Cup Final thread
  7. Now I think petitions are a load of shite but, having said that, after the Sevco one asking for Sturgeon to resign I couldn't really resist another way to wind them up... https://www.change.org/p/stewart-regan-make-sure-rangers-get-hammered-by-the-sfa?recruiter=160766284&utm_source=share_for_starters&utm_medium=copyLink
  8. Just incase anyone is just scrolling through and cherry picking the links they want to click on (there's been a few to be fair) the paranoia/idiocy on show in that thread is well worth taking the time to have a look at
  9. Balls to the club. The fans are mind cripples. On the facebook page the same people moaning about it not being hoops are creaming themselves over that stripey number that, even if we didn't traditionally wear hopes, looks fucking horrid
  10. I admit I aint seen Miller as often as most but don't understand the seethe against him. When ever I saw him (in midfield) he never offered much going forward but was a useful holding midfielder who made up for his lack of movement with good positional awareness. Made the odd misplaced pass but generally kept it simple and scored a wee cracker v Peterhead. I do find it weird he's dropped down a division. He was offered a two year deal was he not? Why knock back that security for one year and, I'm presuming, similar wages?
  11. Had to get up at 0500 to get the bus into work today. Got off and was wandering through Chestnuts Park in Tottenham and some lad is lying on top of a picnic table outside the café with half a dozen empty cans of Polish lager around him. I was still half asleep at the time but I'm 90% sure it was Martin Boyle
  12. Weird thing is, if that is gonna be our choices, the original "Ajax" style one would be my choice. Call me old fashioned but I just think we should wear hoops.
  13. Going back to the game itse;f what happened to Warburton's magic hat? Against Celtic he respected the opposition's midfield enough to play Ball as a holding midfielder, as they clearly lack an actualy midfielder to do that role, but played the lad from Arsenal there who really didn't have the required bite for the role. McGinn kept finding through balls, especially down Rangers right hand side, as he had the freedom of Glasgow half the time and it only got worse when Warburton made his substitutions. He's had a good season and Sevco are a few signings away from a good season next year but they've not looked comfortable at all when teams take the game to them whereas Stubbs got his starting XI and subs perfect
  14. Just flicking between this thread and the Rangers v Morton threads to see the same shanners saying no bottles were ever thrown at the Morton fans because it's impossible for it not to have been filmed by hundreds of people on their camera phones but offering no evidence of Rangers players being attacked or anyone but Rangers fans being the aggressors in their wee dust up with the Trainspotting lads.
  15. As much as it's fun to look at Dundee's chronic failure in the Scottish Cup they don't have the same history of repeatedly Dundeeing it in the final like Hibs did until recently. Need at least one Dundee United humping of Dundee in the final for them to truly Dundee it to the extent Hibs did.
  16. "Coming up with designs" It'll be "pick yer favourite from the Nike catalogue" I, personally, think we should always wear hoops but, if we're not gonna, I didn't see much wrong with that effort apart from the shitty looking iron on badge. Millions might look better than that sponsor as well but if someone's gonna be throwing money at the club to get their product advertised on the front there's not much ye can do about it is there?
  17. Part timer? Maybe he's picked up a god job outside the game down there?
