Was wondering what Clyde’s plan was for a future home, great reading back through the thread to find stuff out. That’s crap the family have cut contact. With shawfield off the table, what’s plan B? Long term @ Hamilton?
Why no just take over East Kilbride , change their name.
A big toon like that otherwise they could overtake you !

Should of went to penalties after 90 mins

Bearing in mind we have a lot of doonhamers in our team & majority of fans are Cresswell babies or the new D&G infirmary.
Bigger gates,more money.
So surely no the gypsies.
Has it been confirmed where they are playing next year ?

OK Doonhamers who do you want - Annan or Clyde ?

Reckon Wullie Gibson probably MOM ( how many back heel passes did he make, lol)
but Tommy Goss led the line well too , no failures in the team though.
Dumbarton keeper made a number of good saves or it would have been double figures.

Look what you are keeping out SPFL clubs by keeping the playoff. Clubs with fans.
Ok that argument lasted until Brechin had their 5th pen saved, but you get the gist of what I'm saying.
Hi pal we are keeping them out on merit.
Yes I would say the bottom team should have automatic relegation & play off for 2nd. Bottom.
In the long run yes these bigger supported & wealthier teams will overtake us but until then we live to fight again.

Bring it on - over the season you lot got 3 wins against our 1 but hey although we got beat on Sat. all the boys got a run out.
Of course it will close but u guys are no so hot just now.
We should be at full strength, u guys carrying any injuries ?

Ah well Annan kicking above their weight without any sugar daddy too.
Well done Peter Murphy - the 3rd longest serving manager in the SPFL.
Mm maybe a lesson there ?

Lowland League can only ever get better with the best of the East & West.
Highland League - because of population etc. No much chance.

It is the perverse nature of football Jan that we could at last seal the title on a day we finally lose. I'd prefer not to happen that way. but football can be a bitch.
Congrats Binos but I do hope Annan do spoil the party on Sat. for no other reason we still need to consolidate 3rd. Spot

Cracking game, good football from both teams.
Annan did have their chances to win in the 2nd half but Fleming had no chance with that blinding shot on the counter attack at the very end.

Gavin Reilly well known in these parts - hope we don't give him any chances.
Time to consolidate 3rd. Spot.

Absolute crazy £1.50 a bottle of Becks for u boys on Sat. in Shed.
Then after half five back up to £3 for locals.
No keen on Becks, rather have 3 points - I think we are more than capable.

Hi Widrover thanks for no mentioning Non league Pollok beat us & Fraserburgh beat Stranraer.
Well done both them teams - no much difference eh, expand the leagues, home & away that's it.Wi play offs too_ never had that before in the old days

We were due to play Stranraer then once we both got knocked out the cup we moved it forward to Nov.26th - the scheduled date for round 3 of the Scottish Cup.
Wise move.

Negative tactics drive fans away - apparently this was Aberdeen today.

3pm Holland v USA.
A few pints in the boozer ,happy days.
Or freeze your arse off at New Bayview being ripped off.

I'll no be there.
Most ridiculous prices in the league - £18 adult & £14 concession.
Pathetic for this level.

We're Elgin good or Annan just shite ?
5-1 is a doin.
So far no special team in this league .
probably a bit worrying against Pollok in the Scottish cup

I was sat beside a couple of Ireland fans who were singing about the IRA both while the actual away section was and at other times. They were fairly in my face when Ireland took the lead.
When we scored the winner, was I the bigger man, willing to forgive their indescretions?
No. I was not
f**k them,good man

Opinions and arseholes, eh? Much consensus and a few dissenting voices. I thought for much of the game Ireland looked slicker and more technically competent than we did, and that they probably deserved a draw. Now that we have got the result, we can afford to have a more objective and patronising assessment. I recall Ireland's keeper having only one save to make (from Fraser) and Gordon having much more to do. That was partly because we have not got the technical ability to play out from the back. Our centre backs have to lumber and crank themselves in to position to play a simple pass-back to a goalkeeper who can't kick rather than try a more ambitious pass or bring the ball forward themselves. This leads on to one of the most highlighted problems. If Gordon can't kick well, why play so many back-passes (often to his right foot); this happened constantly in the earlier stages of the match.
I didn't think the Irish team was particularly agricultural, or dirty, or hammer-throwing cloggers. But then I didn't think Gary Breen came over like a 'fan with a typewriter' either and his comments were mostly even handed. Finally, whilst not being exposed to Michael Stewart's musings to the extent most contributors appear to be, I think he is at least as insightful as any of our usual commentators/pundits, and better than most. Now, let's kick their arses at a hybrid shinty/hurling contest.
Talking shit- Ireland more technically gifted !
They started well and battled throughout the game - great from a spectator point of view but the superior team won at the end of the day - no saying we're world beaters tho.

League 1 playoff final: Annan vs Clyde/ Clyde vs Annan
in Scottish League 1 General Chatter

Looking forward to a good Annan support on Tuesday.
All the boys looked primed ,the whole squad that is , but football is football & anything can happen.
Without being too cocky after seeing the semi final highlights against EF not really too worried.
