  1. Cheers folks. I must say it does always leave me shaking my head when organisations insist on "bending" or "interpreting" the rules or existing legislation in order to evade/dodge/avoid/not qualify for (delete as appropriate) any given tax threshold and then squeal like spoiled brats when there scams are spotted and redress is sought. But that's the murky world of Tax/Employment Law for you I'm sure if you lean out of your windows you can hear the sound of filing cabinets opening and closing
  2. Point of interest folks; Anyone have any idea if other clubs have made use of EBT's over the last 15 years ?? Hmmmm? Anyone ? At all ? Please please please tell me Celtic have as well - It would almost be too much to hope for !
  3. Well, that would certainly ensure your club got relegated - but i get your point - and your pain. just give the directors a heads up so they dont go spending heavily on players and can afford the inevitable relegation as you come and enjoy the sights and sounds of the First Division (IF we're still there )
  4. As far as the press, media outlets, polititians, SFA, et all are concerned.... RFC's survivability is the ONLY concern.... You can penalise them all you like, for as long as you want.....whilst they, and their ugly sister, remain within our society.... 'we' will always have cancer and be condemned to chemotherapy for the rest of our lives. Put your jelly and ice cream in the bin ya clowns - or - then again - maybe gers fans should START posting jelly and ice cream gifs too ?
  5. I posted this earlier in this thread (it seems like years ago !) but the fannies that are HMRC who delight in badgering the 'little man' for his outstanding taxation year on year, fare very very badly when taking on Corporate Britain, who REGULARLY shaft them because they have smarter accountants and lawyers keeping them ahead of the game. By example, I'll say again, that last year they (HMRC) WROTE OFF 11 BILLION in lost tax revenue ! HMRC's current claim on an alleged £75m represents only 0.53% of that amount - so they are probably still happy to go shit or bust on their claim - its a habit they have........ like junkies.
  6. Cool. I play off 5 but I have borrowed another 20 strokes (against future drops in form) from Ticketus/Octopus/Toys'r'us and intend to use them when we play ? I take it you have no issue with that in these "enlightened" times ?
  7. I actually feel sick every time any of the apologists otherwise known as media reporters/journalists speak or write anything on this topic - albeit that they have to because it is their job to do so. Rumour A is counteracted by Rumour B which leads to Rumour C replacing Rumour A so Rumour B becomes new Rumour D .....and so on......endlessly. No facts, the smallest amount of actual knowledge...and tons of text. The only thing that comes out of their useless spoutings is their own personal bias to their favourite ugly sister. Supporters of EVERY club outwith the Blue and Green Brigades can see this but still it is perpetuated on the basis that their fan base is the largest and therefore is, by some bizarre twist of logic, of more interest to "the public" as far as the media outlets are concerned. Anyone else here think it's not only Rupert Murdochs' empire is riddled with incompetent, self serving, wankers - sorry I meant journalists..... No I didn't.
  8. Oh my goodness me..... Ticketus (Octopus) really are worried for their £24m - and rightly so..... but to back them financially with more money ?? Wow ! They are at the table with nothing better than a pair of threes and chucking in a massive raise ! VOTE; a) They are Ballsy b) They are Clever c) They are going "all in" in the next round d) Craig Whyte owns Ticketus ! ?
  9. Apart from the expected avalanche of witty gifs from those with too much time on their hands and not enough brainpower to understand the whole debacle, my guess is the more sensible amongst them (yes there ARE some !) actually realise that - contrary to their beloved clubs leaders - they do realise that this whole thing has the potential to ruin their lives as well..... as WE have all said all along. They were laughing so hard at the start of this that their mouths are still wide open - but the expression is now one of a dimwit slowly realising that the one thing that kept them going in life is disappearing. I LOVE IT !
  10. It is if, like other "journalists" of his kind, they only read Celtic based web sites and not forums like this. Yet more shite from people who were to thick to get real jobs...........
  11. Incredible. Just incredible Whyte has probably (allegedly) shafted more people than Ron Jeremy !
  12. Tell you something gents..... this is throwing up a dizzying amount of potential litigations here and this maze of companies, shell companies, holding companies and so on is even leaving me a little dazed here and I have experience in this field ! (I thought) Lets look a bit at this... "The firm, which has long experience in deals with football clubs in severe financial difficulty, believes that the arrangement would stand regardless of whether Rangers' assets are sold to a new company and the old one liquidated.." Key word - believes. There is a genuine possibility that the LONDON based company (Octopus) have overlooked that they are dealing with Scots Law in this instance and there are precedents that might make this belief wrong. "It has stated it has already bought the season tickets from Rangers FC Plc, not loaned the club money, and it is therefore the legal owner.." Oh dear. This is their problem right here. If they have bought these as a product, they are absolutely fcuked if that product is not forthcoming due to Rangers FC Plc being liquidated. (In pretty much the same way that if I "buy" 100 cars from a future product run and the manufacturer goes tits up - my money does too) ! "Last week the company owned by Octopus Investments said it had "an obligation to its investors to pursue all avenues to ensure that the ticket purchase agreement it entered into with the club is honoured, and we are committed to going to the lengths necessary to ensure that the future of the club is preserved and its agreement with Ticketus fulfilled." Simple translation here..... "It's possible the little b*****d has pulled a fast one on us here and instead of us managing to make a fast buck for you investors, and ourselves of course, via these discounted futures (season tickets) we might have, as we Londoners say.....'bought a lemon'...and a fcuking BIG one at that. Sorry." Investments can go DOWN as well as UP and all that. In summary - Craig Whyte is the shark in the water and Ticketus/Octopus are thrashing around trying to get the fcuk out of the water !
  13. lol. Oh yes it does. If ticketus failed to carry out a due-dilligence test on the sale or (as is much more feasable) CW and his lawyers, Collyer Bristow, managed to speed-hustle these idiots into parting with large sums of cash on 'futures' (the POTENTIALITY of season ticket sales) then there is a distinct possibility that they unwittingly over exposed their position. Many companies have imploded in this manner in the past. Who is to say it isn't happening to them ? Honestly never thought Business Law could be so interesting............... and filthy dirty.
  14. Please, please, please, please put some kind of smilie into that post before I think you asked that seriously !
  15. I think you'll find that the recent clamp down on benefit fraud has a lot to do with it.... no spare cash to send to the "Big Hoose"
  16. F**king outrageous spinning from the media troglodites labelling the meeting of the other clubs as "The gang of 10" This is also where the bloody problem lies; with those self serving freeloaders that call themselves sports journalists ! They are the ones who fan the flames to sell copy and keep themselves in a job. THEY would be more troubled by the loss of RFC than most of the Govan Loyal ! This is some awesome opportunity to bring back sanity to the game here and, while it may hurt initially, through lower revenue streams we would see the re-emergence, over time, of stronger clubs using their own talent and SUSTAINABLE resources. The problem for our superstar journo's ? That would be having the ability to identify new young talent by means other than looking it up on Google !
