8 for Wed. Aussie politics and Aussie currency wrong. Guessed Aussie sport correctly for a (refreshing) change.

A disappointing 6 for Monday (all three Aussie sports / politics questions wrong, plus the TV actor) and an acceptable 8 for Tuesday (Aussie sport wrong, as usual, plus Welsh sausage ingredient).

Apologies for late submission this week. Don’t like doing a bunch of quizzes in a row, but had a deadline this week for writing questions for a quiz league (which I’m getting paid for), so had to prioritise that. 7 for Monday, 8 for Tuesday, 7 for Wed. Regular questions on Aussie politics and Aussie sport is bad enough, but Aussie art

Showtime head of programming Gary Levine open to more Twin Peaks, or indeed anything else that Lynch and Frost have in mind. More Twin Peaks

8s for Thursday and Friday. Aussie sports and politics (not just Australian, but French too) a perennial weakness.

8 for Wed. Knew 6, was able to hone in on the Glen Campbell / Dean Martin song by a process of elimination, given a couple of the options were written by my one of my favourite songwriters, (though already had a strong hunch as I knew both had recorded it) and guessed TV series. Got PM residence (have a feeling I’ve heard this, and got it wrong, before) and Aussie sport wrong.

Very similar performances on Monday and Tuesday. Knew 7, scored 7 for both. Anything Aussie, particularly sport and politics, is guaranteed to trip me up, along with Hungarian deserts, though thankfully there aren’t two or three questions per quiz on them. Should have done better on Apollo 11 duration.

A fairly fortunate 8 for Wed (both Aussie sport questions wrong), a less fortunate 9 for Thurs on a set that really suited me, and a hard-earned 5 for Friday on a set that really didn’t.

I’m definitely in favour of ditching the Aussie quiz for a themed quiz. Had my fill of Aussie sport and politics. On this week’s quizzes: solid start with 8 for Mon and 9 for Tuesday. Knew the majority, Aussie politics caught me out on Tuesday. Landed a guess on Aussie sport on Monday.

Six to end the week - last two Aussie questions wrong, plus Canadian PM and the geological time span.

Got the DVD on day of release. Of the extras, only watched A Very Lovely Dream: One Week in Twin Peaks so far, which is great.

Have been so busy of late that I hadn’t even noticed there was a cup competition going on. Not really got time to trawl back through numerous unread pages of the thread to find out what and where it is, so will opt out of this one. Edit -too late to opt out anyway. Had already forfeited. Fair play. In the league, a relatively inauspicious start to the week with back to back 6s. Guessometer needs a service.

A slightly underwhelming 6 to finish the week, characterised by typical weakness on all things Australasian.

It’s for a team competition called the Max Thomson Cup. Dedicated to one of my quiz team members who sadly passed away a few years ago (before I joined the team), which takes place this afternoon. Just finished it at 2.00 am this morning, A glaring lack of questions on WWE, now you mention it!

Been trying to take the quiz and post scores daily, but have been preoccupied all week with writing a 100 question set for a big quiz on Saturday. Most of the way there now, so was able to catch up tonight. 8s for both Tuesday and Wed, and 7 for Thursday, with a few lucky guesses amongst a number of questions that suited me.

7s for both Wed and Thurs. Not for the first time, I would dispute the accuracy of one of the answers (on Thursday's quiz).

Quite fond of a bit of Round Britain Quiz. Hadn't realised it had started up again. Subscribe to Radio 4 Quiz podcast (covers RBQ, Counterpoint and Brain of Britain), so must give it a listen.
