5/10. Typical Friday, knew a couple, guessed a lot. Convinced the comet question has more then one possible answer. -
8. To mix metaphors, lured onto the rocks by sirens and slipped up on fruit.

Don't think it's cheating to look at the last question, spot the connection and then revise your answers accordingly. That's just playing the game well. Using external reference sources would be cheating, any clues intrinsic to the quiz itself are fine IMO.

Impressive score on a tough set. 7 for me. Just didn't know enough about Iranian graphic novelists, poker and food.

Narrowed it down to 2. Strangely enough the question 'In which book of the Bible are the 10 Commandments first mentioned?' came up in a pub quiz I was taking part in last night. We got that right, so it was 50/50 today and I went the wrong way. I'm hopeless at Religion generally though.

8/10. Got the play and the Bible question wrong. Lucky guess on E numbers. Fairly confident on the others.

9/10. Was confident on 8. Playwright may have been summoned up from a vague memory. Guessed the wrong Patricia Arquette movie.

Nightcrawler. Superb film. 10/10. Gyllenhaal is outstanding in this. He reminded me of De Niro as Rupert Pupkin in Scorsese's masterful King of Comedy, but creepier and more dangerous. Echoes of Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver too.
