  1. No one is blaming the performances of the younger players. The concern is the performances of the senior players who have played hundreds of games at senior level-the same experienced players who should be pushing to get a starting place on Sunday. Of course there were changes from Saturday-nevertheless those players brought in should have been able to compete against a competent Albion. Creativity Zilch-Forward play-Zilch.The only player I would absolve from any criticism is the much maligned Higgins, possibly our most consistent player of the season. Like many fans , I really thought we had a strong pool of players. After last night's performance, I am not so sure.
  2. Higgins has been excellent in the past 4 games- not so good v Cowdenbeath. Think that Slattery played the long ball to Wallace v Clyde.
  3. Congratulations to Eugene and all others involved in their quest to reinstate the Levenmouth Rail Link.
  4. Totally agree.Surely the club is in no position financially to suspend the sale of season tickets as this might deter both existing or new supporters. The first league game is after all, this Saturday. If you look at the Official Site , you will see that Season Tickets are still being advertised. Where has the club intimated that Season Tickets been suspended?
  5. Report in the Sun today that Darren Young hopes that Daniel Church will join up with the squad this week. He was playing for Celtic Colts last night.
  6. Because I was present. See DIB comment above-he was 1 of 3 guys who joined at the same time.
  7. Queues at Bayview this morning. If you are buying an additional ticket for your friends,I would get down ASAP.
  8. Interesting that you had to be a Supporters Club member by Friday 2 August to entitle you to buy a ticket for the Rangers game. There were 5 adults at least, who attended the Clyde game on Saturday 3rd, and became Supporters Club members on the day. They were given Membership Cards and told to present them at Bayview this week to enable them to purchase their tickets.
  9. Under 20's Development Squad playing Glenrothes tonight 7.45pm at Bayview.
  10. It will be allocated seating. To be honest , think you will find it difficult to get tickets. Suggest you contact the club ASAP ie tomorrow, to ask the question.
  11. 836 according to BBC. Thought that there was a decent EF support.
  12. No. The Darvel GBP was greater than the EF GBP.
  13. Astroturf installed May/ June 2017. Consequently 2019/2020 will be the third season.
  14. Would agree with the above. Creativity from Murdoch and Hunter who were the central midfieders, was non existent and as a result thought that our build up play was too slow . Great credit to Cowdenbeath who I thought defensively , protected their keeper very well.
  15. No he didn't. I'm not close enough to the club but would expect him to stay with Celtic until their colts team is knocked out of the Tunnocks Cup. That is in the basis that he does sign.
  16. If Church does sign.EF will have a squad of 19. We are certainly not the richest club in the league and consequently have to spread the budget around. Meggat will certainly be missed but we still have /Will have Murdoch,Watson,Dunlop,Higgins,Church ,Slattery and Dunsmore who can play at the back.
  17. A few whispers that EF trying to get Daniel Church , a left back from Celtic on loan. 18 year old going on19.
  18. i thought Danny Denholm was the best player on view, always looking for the ball, always willing to take on players. He could easily have scored 3 or 4 but he needs to improve on his finishing. Lewis Hunter continues to improve, nothing flashy - wins the ball, passes, and moves on. Offensively we are OK. Wallace,Dowds, and Duggan will score goals-ably assisted by Denholm,Dunsmore,Smith , and Hunter. In midfield yesterday I thought that Agnew was too often caught in possession . Defensively I thought that Watson at centre half first half , and Dunlop centre half second half were the best defenders. There were no problems with Higgins but Murdoch could certainly improve his distribution. Not much to choose between Slattery and Waugh - if he signs. AS far as goalkeeper is concerned, Jordan Hart played hisfirst game yesterday.Based on what I saw, I must admit that I prefer Brett Long. I thought that Kirrie played well yesterday and were impressive opponents. Putting the football to 1 side, the main talking point was the absolutely delicious steak pies, topped with a slice of black pudding, served with a coffee, and sold as a Meal Deal for £2.50 . Kirrie were a decent side. The hospitality in the clubs Social Club was first class. All in all - a good day out.
  19. It was indeed. Watching the game was former EF and Montrose centre forward Steve Kerrigan whose son was playing for Kirrie As far as the game was concerned ,EF should have scored 7 or 8.Some woeful misses and excellent saves from the impressive Kirrie keeper EF ok offensively and in midfield.Jury out on left defence and second keeper.
  20. Waugh played the first half and was short with a passback which resulted in Kirrie's goal.Slattey came on in the second half. Reekie was nowhere to be seen. There was a midfielder who resembled Inglis who came on in the second half. The third trialist was a forward who I had not seen pre-season. Darren Young came on in midfield for the latter part of the game. Was hearing that Kevin Smith may have to have an op. on an ankle injury whilst Davidson has a shin problem. Kirrie had Kevin Mc Naughton playing for them.
  21. Went into a 50/50 robust but fair tackle but unfortunately came off second best. Too many trialists - some young some not so young- to guage a team performance. Denholm and Wallace will certainly improve our forward play but unfortunately there was no Dowds or Duggan playing alongside. No Watt or Agnew either to support the strikers. Defensively I was really impressed with a youngish centre half- no.19- who I would have thought was worthy of further games. Anyone know who he was?
  22. Seem to remember Johnnie Walker( ie whisky not player) used to sponsor Kilmarnock.
  23. Personally , if a private enterprise won the draw , I would expect their name/logo to appear on the shirts. As EFSC has won the draw , they have a right to their name appearing on the shirts. They also , in my opinion as EFFC is a Community Club, have an opportunity to include a local charity on the shirts.eg EFSC also supports (eg) Gingerbread. On the bigger front as far as I am concerned , is that local business is NOT supporting the club. Where are the club's accountants, solicitors, bankers. Where are Campion Homes , Muir Homes who are selling properties in Leven for Millions of GBP. Where is Diageo ?
