  1. SPFL Statement: East Fife Disciplinary Proceedings Wed, 28th Apr 2021 4:35pm The following update was issued by the SPFL today. Following the call-off of the SPFL League 1 fixture between Clyde and East Fife last night, the SPFL has today (28 April) announced that disciplinary proceedings have commenced against East Fife for failing to fulfil the fixture. The disciplinary hearing will be held before a Sub-Committee of the Board of the SPFL on Thursday 29 April.
  2. Club Statement - Postponement of Tonight's Match Against Clyde We can confirm that tonight’s SPFL League One match against Clyde at Broadwood was postponed. The club were only made aware of a positive test for COVID-19 within the Clyde camp as the players were entering the field of play before kick-off. We understand the test was taken on Saturday with the result only confirmed around 20 minutes before kick-off. After discussion between the SPFL and representatives of both clubs, we were informed that the match could go ahead but having consulted with the management and players, the Board of Directors fully back the decision not to proceed with the fixture. Finally, we would like to pass on our best wishes for a speedy recovery to the player involved. The club will be making no further comment until we have discussed the matter in detail with the SPFL.

  4. There is a live stream and EF Season Tickets are valid.
  5. With Craig Watson being suspended for the game v Airdrie ,presumably either Slattery or Dunsmore will be brought in . Personally I would like to see Cole McKinnon start to bolster the defensive side of midfield. Up front hopefully both Kevin Smith and Ryan Wallace are fit to play. Meanwhile the club are selling half-time draw tickets via the club shop.
  6. This game has been brought forwad to 12 Noon. Can EF continue with their unbeaten home league form and reverse the 2-1 defeat at Peterhead? 2 league games to go ,win then both and there will be no relegation. Cannot see there being many changes from the team which started against Forfar. The problems start up front when and if Keven Smith or Ryan Wallace have to be substituted. Half-time draw tickets now on sale .See EF shop for details.
  7. Highlights from Forfar TV now on Youtube. Just before the end of the highlights you can hear Chris Higgins giving Liam Watt an absolute bollocking.
  8. In other news, half-time draw tickets are available from the EF shop at 2GBP per ticket for todays game v Forfar. So far sales have been disappointing. Very easy to support financially the club when it is doing well. Not so easy when the team is so poor on the road. What is not in doubt is that every 1GBP counts during the pandemic.
  9. I think most fans share your pain. It beats me how a team so good at home, unbeaten in the league, are so so shocking away from home - 3 points from 21.
  10. Looks like Spence and Brown cuptied and Wallace injured.Kevin the only forward with none on the bench
  11. A very important game for both clubs. The question is - which team of knackered players will prevail. EF did OK in the draw with Cove . Conversely a pathetic away performance against Montrose in a 3 - 0 defeat. Clyde appear to have perhaps stabilised the ship in their last 2 games. A big 3 points is the reward.
  12. Difficult to disagree with any of the post match comments.Montrose on the night were a far better team with each of their players contributing to their team effort. From an EF point of view , quite easy to understand why Slattery, Smith and Dunsmore were hooked at halftime. I agree that by halftime the game was lost but formation -wise,I felt that 3-5-2 was better suited to the players rather than whatever that first half system was supposed to be. The only midfielder who is currently showing consistency and desire is Ross Davidson. I do not think that Agnew and Swanson can play in the same team and do think that there needs to be a second defensive midfielder in place to support Davidson. Fash has returned to Kelty who apparently do not want to extend his loan as they do not wish their players injured prior to potential play-offs.Although there may well be a signing today, the thought of Keven Smith, Sean Brown and Ryan Wallace being our frontline for the duration of the season does not exactly enthuse me. Clyde tomorrow night is massive. Morton is unfortunately a side attraction. As a club , I feel we have been too ready to offer 2 year deals to players. It is one thing a player in their late teens/ early twenties.with potential- but players in their 30's? Darren Young has shown extreme loyalty to the bulk of the current playing staff to the detriment of bringing in younger hungrier players. 7 of our players are over 30. The remainder of the season will reveal whether Darren has taken the club as far as he can.
  13. Totally agree with the last post. The volunteers of EFTV do a fantastic job in bringing EF games to the comfort of our homes. They are all EF fans and obviously feel they are letting down all subscribers -both Home and Away fans- especially when outside influences ,outwith their control, do not respond accordingly. Keep up the good work guys and gal.
  14. The start of a difficult period for EF with fixtures Saturday Tuesday Thursday for the next 2 weeks. The first fixture is a home game against the team currently sitting in second place in the league.. I must admit that I was mightily impressed with Cove in their home game with EF although EF contributed to their own downfall with 2 players- Denholm and Dunsmore being sent off. Personally I cannot see too many changes in the EF line-up for this particular match.
  15. Add a Scottish Cup tie v Dunfermline/Morton on 3 April to those dates.
  16. Just heard that EF won 5-1 last night. No idea who scored but not Fash.2 completely EF teams in each half..Both the Rangers and Dunfermline loanees showed up very well apparently.
  17. How about Fash on loan from Kelty.? With Jack Hamilton away and possibly Thomas Collins still going to Stenhousemuir, looks like a couple of forwards are needed.
  18. My thoughts entirely. The Chairman a few months ago stated that EF were one of the few clubs to have such a policy in place. On another matter, does anyone know whether the clubs accounts for the year ending 31 May 2020 have been published./
  19. Just to remind supporters that half-time draw tickets are for sale .So far only 26 fans have bought.
  20. EFM reporting DY as hoping to get in 1 or 2 players in window. Mentioning Thomas Collins as possibly on loan to Stenhousemuir.. There was a whisper that Mark Mc Guigan was coming in the opposite direction..Time will tell.
