  1. I was too. However when it was brought up to Kenny MacIntyre on Twitter he admitted that he hadn't even of heard the story, which is pretty poor from a journalist who should be doing his research.

Calderwood is a fantasist, and his version of events now don't match up with what happened at the time.

For example: on the Sportsound interview he claims that he went to Spain to await a job offer from Killie that eventually never came. He then apparently received a phone call from a journalist to say that we were to appoint Mixu the next day and that's the first he'd heard from the club. At the time though, he claimed that he turned the Killie job down because of financial constraints:

"To be honest, it was more to do with the budget and Sandy offering to leave. To have a fighting chance of making the top half of the table, the budget wasn't enough. It would have made it very difficult to take the club to the next level."

Mixu Paatelainen then led us to the top six, and Kenny Shiels won the cup the following year - both after more budget cuts.

His win record at Killie was terrible too. When he took over we were in eleventh place, one point ahead of Falkirk. The results from Calderwood taking over until the end of the season were: P- 19, W- 5, D- 4, L- 11. The truth is we were saved by Falkirk's incompetence rather than anything Calderwood did. We finished the season eleventh place, two points ahead of Falkirk... We also scored three away goals during his whole time at Killie. Three.

The fact he is lauded with saving Killie is laughable, considering almost any competent manager would have done the same. I'd even argue that Jefferies probably would have too had he stayed.

His little anecdote about being at Fowler's do' and the Killie fans being all over him and egging him on to shout at the chairman is bollocks too. I was there, and he was going about telling anyone that would listen how "Emeranka widnae get in the team I was playing to build here" and other nonsense. He was a laughing stock for the entire night.

I'm sure the County fans will confirm this too, but he supposedly only travelled up to Dingwall on Saturdays and his brother took most of the training, and that was as big a reason as any why he didn't stay.

The O'Leary stuff alone should mean he never works again.

  2. So it must be good  It makes sense if every fixture is played in the evening to avoid the worst of the heat, like in Spain.

It seems barking to do night training because that's not the norm here for full-time teams, but I don't have a problem with what he is proposing in general. Players need to physically peak once or twice a week. If later training sessions genuinely help with that, good on him, Scottish football needs more innovation.

We were told that Locke was into his sports science. The new sports scientist whiz that came in at the end of last season was going to give Killie a competitive edge over opponents, never mind be on par with them. What happened to that?

Issues with his wife who was heavily pregnant but had stayed down south. Don't feel comfortable going into any more detail on an open forum as it's not very nice.

  3. Up to date with the new episodes that have just started in America. The punishment in the latest episode was one of my favourite ever.

Without giving too much away - the loser had to go to a beer show (where people paid $50 for a glass that got them unlimited beer) and tell people they've drank too much.

ETA - Joe was my favourite initially, but now it's Sal & Q. I've been listening to their podcast 'What Say You' lately, and it's excellent. Well worth going back to the start and listening to them all.

This episode where the below picture is explained is unreal. Pissing myself just thinking back :lol:http://www.whatsayyoupodcast.com/episode-19-i-have-your-pants/

  4. FOOTBALLERS are creatures of habit and attempting to change their natural behaviour can end in disaster.

But when you are Lee Clark, an Englishman abroad as it were, given just 13 games to keep a struggling Kilmarnock team in the Ladbrokes SPFL Premiership, trying something different is a hell of a lot better than continuing with what clearly was not working.

Training times, how the dressing room looks, when the players get up in the morning. All of this has been looked at by the new manager who today takes charge of his first game, a home match with Dundee.

“It has been hectic,” admitted Clark. “There are not enough hours in the day to implement all the changes I want in terms of how we do things, training, schedules, things I want to change around the building such as the dressing room and corridors.

“It’s just putting stuff up in the dressing room – photographs of current players who have been doing well and past success stories plus inspirational quotes from top athletes.

“It all comes under the one umbrella. You’ve got to look at all the different sports and sportsmen to find out how they became the best in their field as individuals or as a team. I like to get involved with other sports so I can see what they do to achieve what they do.

“From now on we will train chronologically, which means that we will train at the same time as the kick-off of our next game. We’ve already started doing that, with 3 o’clock sessions for Saturday games and quarter to eight for midweek matches so that the players’ body clocks are in tune.

“When there are no midweek games there will be double sessions. Strength and conditioning training – along with prehab and rehab work - will now be compulsory and we’ll be doing these things so that the players can perform at the highest level they’re capable of.

“Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be intensive and we’ll taper down on Thursdays and Fridays so that they’ll be like caged animals by the time we get to three o’clock on a Saturday.”

Caged is a lot better than being wounded, which is what the Kilmarnock players have played like this season. Clark is a mixture of old and new school, no bad combination, and this way of thinking was inspired by a former manager known for thinking outside the box.

Clark said: "I worked that way when I played under Jean Tigana at Fulham and it made a significant difference to our performances.

“The players won’t have experienced this before. Some of the younger ones will have been staying up too late, playing on X-Boxes and Play Stations so the new system will give them the chance to get the required amount of sleep.”“Our fitness levels became higher and there was a great benefit all round. We became successful very quickly under him. Being allowed to do that was one of the big things for me when I took this job. It’s about chasing the mindset.

Sounds good to me. Anything is worth a shot right now.

  5. Had a stinker against Hamilton and been dropped for Stevie Smith since McCulloch took over. Two clean sheets in the two games since, so McHattie might have to wait to get back in. Will likely depend on who the new manager prefers in training.

He was terrible against Accies, but I think it's more likely that he's injured as he's not even made the bench lately.

  6. At least G-Man builds some random humour and patter into his posts instead of being a fact based bore-a-thon like your goodse...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I personally find craigkillie's dry take-downs of people rather amusing.

Then again I'm a c**t, so maybe he should try taking tips from other guys who "build some random humour and patter into his posts" on the forum. Such as this guy:

Ally mccoist with maybe Hitler as his assistant would sound right for the killie board, maybe small pox could run the youth programme

    Patter overload.

  7. Apparently you lot are signing Gary Dicker

An 18-month deal, with the option for a further year.

MK Dons right-back Lee Hodson joining on a six-month loan deal too.

The common denominator here is Peter Leven. Leven knows Hodson from his time at MK, and knew Dicker after having played against him in England and being impressed. If you add in Jim Mann's MK Dons connections (they even host the Jim and Gwen Mann Challenge Cup every year...) then it makes sense as to why we can still get these deals through as Locke wasn't likely to be involved anyway.

Also given how quickly the Billy Davies talks 'leaked', you have to assume we'll be doing these deals in conjunction with him.

  8. Killie are supposedly after Crystal Palace forward Sullay Kaikai. He's apparently rapid, and can also play out wide.

Personally, I would rather see us go for a right-back immediately, but you have to assume we'd be paying little/none of Kaikai's wages so would be a minor gamble in the grand scheme of things.

Any more updates on Hodson? I see he played both games against Northampton in the cup, but has only played a minute of league football since November so I wonder if we were waiting until the Northampton replay was done before getting him in?

  9. Hate posting on this thread, due to how some other people view me on here.

I can totally sympathise with this. I've taken a few weeks off from here as it wasn't helping my mental state whatsoever. For some reason I let nearly every negative comment about myself get to me, and it eats me up for days. If it's about football, then it doesn't bother me in the slightest. However when someone makes comments or digs about me as a person (without knowing me IRL) I can't get it out my head. The logical part of my brain that says "it's not important" when I look back on things vanishes, and I end up just beating myself up about who I am.

  10. Has anyone else been prescribed Sertraline before? Been on it for 6 months now, have just been bumped up to 100mg after a bit of a dip. It's making me so fatigued and numb.

Yup. Had to change off it as the side effects were brutal. Not being able to ejaculate for at least an hour might seem like a joy, but it really isn't. For me or my fiancee. Poor lassie.

I've been on tablets of some kind since I was younger, but recently stopped. I work 50/50 between the office and home, so my biggest worry was that days spent at home would feel even worse without tablets. On the contrary. I've been managing my diet a lot better, and cut down my Pepsi Max intake from a 2l bottle a day to one glass maximum. When I have time on my own in the flat I've started baking. Bread, cakes, pies, pastries - you name it. It really helps keep my mind clear.

The first few weeks 'cold turkey' were brutal, but once I got into a rhythm it was worth it. If anyone ever needs to talk then drop me a PM.

  11. That's awfae nice that you're keeping tabs on where I'm posting I also didn't realise there was a limit of how many times I could post in threads either.

Every days a school day eh..

Well, if you're going to describe a thread as a "monstrosity", then it is understandable to think that you might just leave it and move on with your life.

Instead, you continually post "LOOK AT ME!!!", and are desperate to be mentioned so you can pretend to roll your eyes and be better than it all. After posting 12,589 times on the subject.

  12. So to summarise.

Rangers win tax case, their fans say "yoo huv tae except the roolin ae eh judges"

Rangers lose tax case on appeal, their fans say "whit dae judges ken aboot tax ah'll listen tae eh tax guys on eh wireless"

And with any shred of credibility the fans argument had left now gone, the fans say "haha luk at sellick mahn cudnae even beet a bunch ae fecking viking guys pmsl jus wate tul eh mighty teddy berz take to eh field again agunst alloa"
