  1. He's tall, has quick feet and can hold the ball up and bring others into play well. Scored 15 goals IIRC in his one season with us. I'm sure he got a really bad injury last season at Colchester, hopefully he's recovered from that.

  3. All 3 first choice CBs are injured meaning we've had to play Darren Barr (who is our development coach and only meant to play as emergency cover) and Conor McManus at CH on Saturday.
  4. All 3 first choice centre backs injured at the moment. Not good at all.
  5. Novo is a terrible footballer and an absolute dick of a guy. Shudder to think what kind of wage we paid him in 2013 and he was finished at this level back then. Not sure if it's been mentioned on this thread earlier but I heard from a very good source that the news on Grant Gallagher isn't good. Been told he could be looking at a year out injured potentially.
  6. It's a poor effort at trolling. We played our entire development squad against Largs Thistle.
  7. When did this rule start? We signed Jamie McCluskey on a one month contract at the start of 2014/15 season in League 1 then handed him an extension until the end of the season when that ran out.
  8. I wasn't too pleased when we signed Harkins but he's looked very decent in a new role during pre season with our new formation. It's his last chance at FT football for him so maybe he'll make the most of it. McHugh and Thomson are good signings IMO. Was always impressed with Thomson beforehand and he's looked good in pre season so far. McHugh doesn't come with that '20 goal a season' striker tag but he's also found the net a few times so far in pre season. I'm certainly much happier having McHugh, Harkins and Thomson as options over Luke Donnelly, Oyenuga and Shankland. I think we'll score more goals this season but might concede more as well.
  9. Was it not 2-0 down at HT? I must have been about 9/10 and I was there with a family friend who did some reports for the newspapers at the time. Ended up having to sit outside the press room whilst Mowbray did his post match interviews but before he went in he came over and spoke to me for a couple of minutes whilst everyone was waiting on him asking if I enjoyed the game and who I thought was the best player on the day. Think I said Riordan and Kevin Thomson. He ended up calling Thomson over after he'd finished talking to a reporter and introduced me to him too. Always remembered that, seemed like a great guy.
  10. I would certainly hope sales are up on last year after the season we've just had and the new ticketing/turnstile systems in place, but probably years of achieving hardly anything, stagnating in the Championship and a poor relationship between the club and supporters are the real reasons. There's been significant changes on and off the park over the past year or so however, with a bit more ambition being shown and the club being ran a lot more professionally off the park so hopefully we'll gradually see an increase.
  11. He loves a goal against us. Thought we'd got off lightly when he signed for Ayr Utd.
  12. We had him at Morton but he played at left-wing and wasn't very good in League 1. Never tried him up front though.
  13. Is that due to their lack of pace/mobility? I do think we need another CM, but what player would you drop out of Harkins/Forbes if this system is going to be used? Exciting that we are now able to change it up and use players in different formations.
  14. Take full responsibility for the one at Cappielow. Was in hospitality, half cut giving Cummings absolute pelters since he kept running past to warm up. Ends up scoring a peach of a free kick and walks past us and gave a wink in our direction. Wee c*nt
  15. He was on loan at Livi last season and returned early. Not sure what the full reasons behind that were but I don't think he did well enough. Banged them in for the development squad but didn't look up to it in the Championship. I hope he does well for you but I would be surprised if he did.
  16. distresseduke said to look at any league in the world though and indicated that any team in the world with the largest support in a league will be champions which is completely false.
  17. Chelsea have the 6th largest attendances in the Premiership and won the league, Arsenal and Manchester Utd finished outside the top 4 yet have the best supports. Leicester were 12th in the averages of attendances when they won the league the year before. Brechin aren't favourites to go down because they have a small crowd ffs Dundee Utd are favourites because they will likely have the best squad in the league.
  18. If only league titles were won on the number of supporters each club has. Is that the same cannon fodder you failed to beat in 5 attempts last season?
  19. Maybe that's a bit much to expect from a Scottish club but if an English side came in for him I'd hope we could get that kind of fee. Probably nearer the £100k mark for any club in the Premiership.
