  1. Tried their best to chuck that away in the last few minutes.
  2. Connacht 9 with a bit of play acting after going down under Hastings challenge. Fair enough it was high but he seemed to be selling it a bit after he’d gone down.
  3. https://draw.inker.fun/#/el/gs/2018 Draw simulator
  4. There will be similar complaints at Murrayfield about having to queue at the tram station as there are about having to queue at Mount Florida for the train to central.
  5. Just shy of 6000 watched Glasgow beat Harlequins in Perth today.
  6. Through a year long absence because of injury. Not some massive loss of form.
  7. I’d rule out Broadwood. The capacity of that is smaller than scotstoun.
  8. I’m hoping that’s the alternative that Glasgow have proposed to the SRU. Wouldn’t mind it being at any one of those venues. Celtic Park is apparently hosting the Pro 14 final next season so a good test event prior to Glasgow rocking up a few weeks later for the final.
  9. It’s in the warriors interest to have it played in Glasgow. It should be their 11th home game of the season.
  10. Idlewild Deftones Super Furry Animals Pearl Jam Smashing Pumpkins
  11. The warriors/sru meeting with the fans group postponed again. Nathan Bombrys has suggested that Glasgow have offered an alternative to the SRU regarding the final 1872 fixture but didn’t give details of what that alternative was. On another note. There’s nothing to suggest that the Pro 14 would give this SRU initial proposal for the 3rd 1872 game to be at Murrayfield again the go ahead anyway! I can’t imagine the other teams in Edinburgh’s conference next season would be too pleased at Edinburgh having an extra home game. Might be a few complaints about that.
  12. 11 home pro 14 matches. Edinburgh play Glasgow at Murrayfield twice.
  13. Warriors supported group XVI Warrior has a meeting this week with Glasgow and the SRU regarding the concerns over ticket pricing and the whole silver Saturday/Glasgow losing a home game issue, and the general feeling that they are taking the fans for granted. The twitter page for XVI Warrior also has an e-mail from the club regarding a lot of the complaints following the release of season ticket and fixture details.
  14. Just this year alone. Sauchiehall St is a bit of a mess anyway! Maybe a chance to level large parts of it and start again.
  15. Link on the bbc website shows the roof of the O2 ABC on fire and about to collapse.
  16. Little Murrayfield won’t be built in time for the new season. Both games will be played on ‘the international pitch’ at Murrayfield. The situation with playing Celtic/Rangers at Hampden and Glasgow having to play Edinburgh at Murrayfield as a neutral venue are completely different. While Celtic and Rangers get the lions share of the stadium they don’t play there every other week.
  17. I think they’re trying to pitch Murrayfield as a neutral venue for the final 1872 game. Doesn’t seem to be working with a lot of Glasgow fans judging by replies on twitter. A price hike and a game fewer than what was promised last season.
  18. So it’s a price hike and still one game fewer on the season ticket next season, wonderful!
  19. Barclay out for the next 6 months after surgery on a ruptured Achilles.
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/44208535 Are scarlets the first team to be critical of the surface at scotstoun? Given the weather you’d think they’d have watered the pitch prior to kick off. As for the season past, Glasgow huffed and puffed for much of it. Won games without ever looking great. The best performances being Munster at home and being the first team to win away at Cheetahs. Think we’re missing a Leone type big ball carrier, like the Fijian or wherever he’s from guy at Edinburgh. That apart Glasgow’s poorer performances have come from trying to force games, overambitious throws, and poor ball handling.
