Do you really think he's standing back in admiration at training thinking we're the finished article? There's still a couple of weeks to go until the league starts, so maybe keep your gloomy pish until into August. Fools and bairns should never see half done work.

How do you explain the second half of last season? The answer, as most are saying, is that he's woefully inconsistent, more then most, and we can't carry that any more. I think his jacket is on a shoogly nail right now.

If Murray wants to play high press (didn't seem that way today as much) then can we afford such confidence players who need cosseted and cajoled to produce the goods? Persisted too long with Zanatta, either hiding out wide or being wasteful in more direct positions, none worse than him being dispossessed in the box with 3, maybe 4 team mates to square to. I know he's young and inexperienced but I'd start Mitchell before Zanatta. Stanton not as effective as last game and Berra ponderous at times. Must do better.

No he doesn't. He'll make good first impressions but you'll soon be raging at his final ball, or him being dispossessed with ease. There's a reason he's been loaned out more times than a Famous Five book. Maybe L1 will let him develop more fully.

I think a bit of both - we were good and they really weren't. Big felly up front had a tough shift on his own but got no service and their midfield were bamboozled by ours from start to finish. Ryan Dow is a crabbit man but arguably their best player. Zero shots in 90 mins. I wouldn't worry about them.

I know it was only P'heid but I thought we looked very different to a McGlynn side tonight. Murray spoke early about workrate and we saw that, even at 4 up and beyond. Some of the passing and distribution was superb; though balls, reverse passes etc and for a midfielder, Brown made a good CH. Again, only P'heid but we have to be pleased with that I think. I am.

Apologies then. A momentary loss of muscular coordination. I was merely making a point, once more, about the same old stuff and people doubting the manager at this early stage. It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, but a few in general. As others have said, lack of visibility doesn't mean lack of activity, and given that Murray's job is actually to manage a football team and all that that entails, I'm happy to let him get on with it. Someone even suggesting that dropping any points in initial competitive games will show that Murray's appointment has been a mistake. Gonna be a long season if the expectation is to win every game. I wish it was Xmas.

Is this the 1st mention of probable relegation? Last seasons prize went to Ro Sham Bo but thankfully we managed to avoid such a fate. Raith1974 do you have any dry knickers left?
