Ngwenya impressed today, in fact, the entire rearguard played well against a team who had been getting some results. Megginson woeful for his booking and maybe lucky to stay on, although I didn't see what happened between him and Millen when the latter went down. It's never going to be that good with Big John again. The "warm up", the anticipation of his debut, the near own goal with 1st touch, the pleading to take the long throw and at the death, almost a dream goal. A folk hero is among us. We'll be sick of him by Xmas.

This talk of Brown to right back. I'd be very surprised if Murray dropped a right back he's brought in, to replace him with an out of position midfielder who can play there. So unless Millen gets injured or suspended, I don't see it happening any time soon. Cue Brown to RB today.....

Mid table was ALWAYS a solid goal, and we'll achieve it. In fact, 8th will do me this season. That's not resignation, but realism. New manager, new players, new team, new formations, new tactics, established players leaving, long term injuries and a difficult transfer market all conspire to make this a transition. You can hope for better, but anyone expecting it needs to reassess their approach to a few things.
