  1. Bryan McClair - great first time, utterly abysmal the second and wholly representative of the shitshow we were wandering into. Stephen Hughes - again, great first time (a luxury player in fact) but pretty underwhelming on his return. Ojamaa - part of one of the best Well sides I've seen, but looked dreadful when he came back in McCall's final season. Faddy - surprisingly good on his first return as part of the same side as Ojamaa, but looked done quite soon after that as far as I recall. Overlapped with him being Assistant Manager for some reason during McGhee's second spell which was a total waste of time. In short, don't do it.
  2. Ultimately it’s no big deal - thought it would work out for us, it didn’t, we got a fee for him and got rid.
  3. Souare was a punt that didn’t work out, on a six month deal - hardly the end of the world. Danzaki is up there with Esteban Casagolda in the ‘has a cool name so must be good’ stakes.
  4. Aye, I hadn't clocked the injury dimension here. Needing the rumour mill to be clicking into gear soon…
  5. Sam Campbell also away - surprised at that, was he not quite well thought of?
  6. I suspect there will be some liberal use of the phrase mutual consent over the next few weeks.
  7. Souare away as well, in a turn of events which surprises no-one. Apologies, @capt_oats beat me to it.
  8. I’ll be honest, I forgot Nathan McGinley even existed. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/loan-update-4/
  9. I think Theo Bair’s dad just liked a tweet of mine. What a time to be alive.
  10. I see Hibs are the latest club to be looking across the pond for investment - £6M mooted initially. Mental that someone would throw that kind of cash at a Scottish club outwith Rangers and Celtic, and as others have said the likelihood of someone getting bored and calling in their debts seems much higher with that kind of arrangement. If we are actively seeking outside investment then you'd hope that finding a sustainable source is one of the key priorities.
  11. I dunno, I quite like Obika for some unfathomable reason. He’s this season’s Mandron, a loveable yet pish rogue. I’d just stick Luca Ross up with Mika, can’t be any worse.
  12. Oooft, the club’s timings with their tweets really don’t take into account the mood of The Thread, do they?
  13. We could be doing with both - Wilkinson’s out ‘for a minimum of four weeks’ now.
  14. I generally thought St Mirren fans were alright. I mean, from Paisley, but pretty much ok. Painting themselves firmly with the ‘wee guys’ brush here though, it’s a bit awkward to watch.
  15. Aye, I guess I’m never particularly fussed about Cup games (probably due to years of underachievement)!
  16. The reaction on here does seem to be a little OTT. It’s the first time really that Kettlewell has had a blip - and tbh I’d much rather it happen in a cup game than the league. Still plenty of time in the window for movement which, you’d hope, would plug some of the fairly obvious gaps in the squad. Killie won’t be any more or less difficult after Saturday, or after their result today. I’d bet most of us wouldn’t have fancied us doing a great deal against Hibs the other week after their previous result either. We go again, etc.
