Lemon's essentially competiting for Dixon's spot and unless Dixon gets injured he won't see much game time. May as well get him out on loan so hopefully he can continue improving. Same with Williamson as he's not going to displace Mccann. Weekes I'd rather keep as he'd be a useful option off the bench with his pace and directness.

Having just put myself through the 'highlights' I'm sticking by what I said after the game. We can have no complaints with the freekick as Dixon checks Moore's run and Mutch should really be doing better with the freekick as it looks to be nowhere near the corner.
Opportunity missed but hopefully it highlights the need for us to strengthen the squad. Telfer needs to be moved on one, he's wasted doing the donkey work in the holding midfielder role. Ross played as the furthest forward of the three on Saturday and offered nothing. Anybody heard how long Williamson's going to be out for as Miller wasn't terrible on Saturday but by god we could do with him back pronto.

Very worrying to hear Sheerin hint it'll more likely be the end of September before we get anyone else in.
Regarding today he did get the subs completely wrong as Ross/Hetherington should have been hooked early in the second half for Krasniqi and Telfer could have then moved on one.
Fox was rash and naive for the penalty but the rest of the game he absolutely bullied Keena. Everytime the ball went into Keena's feet he gave him a dunt in the back and the ball never stuck. Which is why I think Sheerin brought Ompreon on as when he came on he had the strength to hold Fox off but never really showed anything other than that. I actually feel sorry for the pelters he's taking though as it's not as if we created anything for him whilst he was on.

We weren't beaten by a better team or outplayed today we just never took our small opportunities in the match and never played as well as we can. Which obviously makes the result more frustrating.

Grant Gallagher bossed the middle of the park again Today which seems to be the norm whenever we play against him.

Could have played 300 minutes and we still wouldn't have scored there. Can't even remember Muir having a save to make. We were shite and for all the running Ross gives you he contributed absolutely nothing on a footballing perspective today. Penalty was our chance to turn it around and we fluffed it.

I think it was a freekick as he was bodied by Dixon I think but for me the freekick didn't look like it was bang in the corner so for me having obviously not seen it back Mutch should have done better. We've been the better team but in the final third we've picked the wrong ball.

If we haven’t signed a striker we could do worse than sticking Ernie up top with Keena at least for part of the match 6.4” with silky skills will cause them more problems than any other option we have !
Never mind Ernie it's Dixon we need up top you seen his goals lately. Left foot, right foot, headers, he's got it all.

We still not signed a striker? Keena will be fine but Ompreon's a complete gamble and Wilson's absolute dug meat.

Robson is probably having nightmares about Morrison already.
Equally I'm having palpations about Longridge on Gary Miller. Dixon's played with Murray so he'll know exactly what to expect. Hopefully Krasniqi plays and him & Telfer dominate the middle of the park as they have Gillespie & Liam Brown in there.
I'll go 3-1 Falkirk with Doyle to give away 3+ fouls. As someone has said hopefully we'll have brought in another striker by then so we don't need to see Wilson ever again.

Grant sticking with his 5 at the back. You love to see it.

Didn't take Stuart Taylor long to secure himself a gig as a manager. Will be interesting to see how he gets on, Rice hasn't exactly left him with huge shoes to fill.

Interesting considering Sneddon was a full back. Change of position ?
Think he plays as either a left winger or a left back.

Nice to see glue's still readily available in Cumbernauld.

Sheerin in the herald saying Mckay was back training this week, so he's back in contention for the Clyde game. Williamson's still out with no mention of the injury or how long he'll be.

It wasn't IF who found those kids. The "eye for a player" is no longer used by the club.
Someone seems incredibly salty about the situation

Pleased with that. Really surprised no other clubs have came sniffing about him. May go off the boil from time but definitely a game changer on his day.
Still needs to work on his final product which is why he's still here. Two assists and a goal from the opening 3 league games though so he's improved this season. Obviously helps that we've got some support up there with him this year and the football we're playing this year suits him much better.

Brilliant news getting him tied down but 3 different contracts in the space of a year shows how well we've been doing with the contracts. Better get Telfer extended also, if he's not already got the option of another year in his contract.

Have to remember Keena is only 21/22 so signing Reilly takes the pressure off him having to start every week.
He'll absolutely hate having to start every week right enough.

I'll go 3-1 Falkirk as our defence will have a Ben Hall and Gary Miller so we're bound to concede. Two goals from Keena and one from Morrison.

You take away Declan’s season at us and his stats don’t look very good. Gavin Reilly has the potential to come and replicate what McManus achieved with us.
They are completely different players. Reilly will sit in between the posts and wait on something falling his way whereas Mcmanus went and made things happen on his own.
Listen if we do sign him then hopefully he'll prove me wrong but I've never been impressed with him when he's played against us. The year St Mirren went up Lewis Morgan and Cammy Smith were the two main threats that you worried coming up against.

Reilly has 39 goals in 138 games in the Championship yet the saviour of the summer Declan McManus has 28 in 160 games in the Championship.
*using transfermarkt stats
81 league games for Reilly the last 3 seasons 8 goals and 0 assists.
87 league games for Mcmanus the last 3 seasons 29 goals 9 assists.
Mcmanus gives you so much more than just a goal threat and last season alone scored more and assisted more than Reilly has in the last 81 league games he's played.

Essentially whoever we're bringing in should be on par or better than Aidan Keena as right now he's our best striker. Ompreon is our gamble and Wilson's an absolute waste of a jersey so we don't need another one of those.

When do you ever see a centre back brought on when you are winning a game? If he goes out on loan he'll be playing week in week out which will benefit him more than sitting watching games go by on our bench.
Put a recall option in the loans and if Mccann or Dixon do get injured then they are brought straight back.
