  1. Guaranteed to score a goal in every game against us this season.
  2. Was on his way down for talks according to the article. Surely a better option to leave his family where they are but TNS I'd imagine will be offering silly money to make moving them south an easier decision.
  3. Williamson's a huge step up from what we've had which showed in the games he played against us. Won a penalty in the first game and assisted the first in the final game. He'll hopefully be the first right back we've had since prime Kieran Duffie who can provide a threat going forward. Hetherington will hopefully give us a bit of dig in the middle of the park and as long as he's more mobile than Gary Miller he'll be a step up. Alloa fans rave about him so he must have been doing something right. Nesbitt's a bit meh but we all seen from his earlier days there's a player there. Seems to be very much like Morrison going by Morton fans opinions in that he can beat a man for fun but his final ball is lacking. Mckay I've made my thoughts known, he's a donkey. Mcguffie looks to be a straight swap for Connolly and as long as he stays fit for more than 2 games he's already an improvement. Still I'd say 6 signings to make which would have us at a squad of 20. So still plenty room for more quality. We need a left back, a young centre back, a box to box centre mid, two strikers and a back up goalkeeper capable of pushing Mutch on.
  4. Totally get that but it'll be very difficult to have scouted that level given the covid restrictions that were in place last season. The 5 that we've signed so far we obviously had lined up before Sheerin but there's nothing to say we won't get a few in who Sheerin identifies especially if his assistant is infact Danny Grainger who's been working at that level.
  5. Old players returning normally haunts us. Didn't want him anyway...
  6. Do you think the National league in England don't pay any better than us? I don't doubt there's talent down there to be fished at but where we are as a club right now isn't exactly a major pull to uproot your life and move north. We'd have to get said players up for a trial as well to avoid signing a barrel of duds ala Hartley. That being said Akeel Francis was on trial twice and we still signed him.
  7. I get that you don't like him and I also don't think he's qualified to do the role we've employed him for but he's in there now and that's not going to change so we may as well give him the chance to show why he deserves his wage just like any new player or manager that comes in. I don't really know what kind of signings other than the ones we've made so far we're expected to make in our position. We're not going to house players from down south anymore and the wages we'll be offering along with playing in the third division of scottish football isn't exactly going to entice many to come north of the border anyway.
  8. Bit early to stick the boot in on Holt yet. After our recruitment the last few seasons we were crying out for someone to come in and take the reigns. We'll see what difference that brings soon enough.
  9. I'd like to think Sheerin will take a look at him in preseason but he won't be our first choice left back. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the development squad.
  10. You don't get consistent creativity at this level which is why the majority of top performers in our league last season were loans. Ballantyne and Mochrie from Montrose, Tiffoney & Spittal from Thistle, Turner from Airdrie. The reason they are dropping to this level is because they are yet to prove themselves as capable of consistently performing. We're signing them on the basis of knowing there's talent there and now it's up to Sheerin to get that consistency out of them.
  11. Nope he signed a two year deal last season.
  12. Williamson for me has been the cream of the crop so far but still a good few signings to make as that's us at a squad of just 14. So should be at least 5/6 more to come.
  13. Good to have options especially in wide positions as you very rarely get a consistent winger especially at this level. 4 would be preferable and Mcguffie's left sided so seems like a good option.
  14. To be fair you'd have said the same about Telfer and he was a stand out for us last season in a very poor squad albeit. At 23 he still has time to find some consistency also may just be a case of finding the right team or system.
  15. A left winger or is he one of those players who's better suited to the 10 as he doesn't have the pace to beat a man?
  16. Another 2 year deal, basically a straight swap for Connolly by the looks of things.
  17. They'll be back but I agree we need to go about our business quietly this season instead of causing ourselves further embarrassment. Get it right on the park and keep humble off the park.
  18. He's better coming off the bench, has that fire in his belly when he comes on for the last 20 mins.
  19. You're up early, any specific reason? Got a busy day planned?
  20. Just a pie who's bottom doesn't stick to the bottom of the tin would be ample.
  21. I'm glad Kelly's away he never showed himself as fit enough for the full of last season. Hopefully a better option out there at left back.
  22. What about the new players wearing it? You were magic last year where's your tricks this year?
