  1. For all we know there could have been 2/3 trialist strikers today who each bagged themselves a hatrick and instead of sharing the match day ball they all share a 3 year contract.
  2. Club could have at least done live updates on the game today. I live for a bit of Trialist b passes to Trialist z who crosses for Trialist d who heads it just over.
  3. 1-0 Falkirk, One two on the edge of the box between Ndaba and Paton with the former finishing it off. If Shadders done Saturday's.
  4. If they get punted in January they get paid what they were due. There's no chance players are looking at us and thinking 'nah I can't go there they chop and change their squad too much' as that can happen wherever they go. Fair enough it probably put off a few managers but not players they're only bothered about the money offered and where we are as a club.
  5. @Bainsfordbairn well well well. You wee filthy tease. We take on Irvine Meadow XI FC today in our first preseason bounce game! This afternoon's friendly will be played behind closed doors. Kick off is at 1pm. A match summary and photos from the game will be available post-match.
  6. Disappointing to see the crunchie initiative and also the navy blue group telling near enough the same story about how dealings with the board were. Obviously in all walks of life there are going to be differences in personalities but when it comes to the best interests of our club that should always be put aside. Definitely seems as if the board want the credit for the crunchie initiative or at least aren't happy they weren't more involved which seems to be why now when it comes to implementing it they've went awol. Good to get a clear statement from the navy blue group and it just backs up the post I put a few days ago. How long have we heard about this three pronged leadership model and yet when it's offered up on a plate we get 'the board couldn't accept the conditions that were proposed' even when from what I understand the board were going to get to pick the two current members that stayed on. The reasoning was that due to what shareholders had voted for previously it couldn't be done but surely that could have been put to the shareholders to decide?
  7. 7 goals in 17 games last season, 6 in 31 the season before and 10 in 30 the season he left us. There was a player there. @RandomGuy. you got the assists stats on your wee gismo for the national league north as I can't find details other than goals anywhere.
  8. Maybe wanted to move back home. Don't imagine he'll be taking much of a wage cut from what he would have been on at Inverness either.
  9. Miles Storey has signed with Hereford FC so it won't be him.
  10. Every single one of the players from last season need to improve dramatically. It was his first year in full time football and he was unlucky with a few injuries as he looked to be coming onto a game before getting injured at Celtic. You can see he has good attributes. We as well as him just need to use those attributes to get the best out of him. He's big, strong and for a man of his build he's got a very good turn of pace. Holds the ball in well, puts himself about and he doesn't half put a shift in for the team. We didn't create anywhere near enough chances for him in the games he played (other than the Partick sitter he obviously should have buried) and we didn't get bodies running off him to take advantage of when he was holding the ball in. He'll know himself he's got to do better but as mentioned so should everyone of that team.
  11. Dowds upfront in that formation doesn't actually give me the fear as he could be the perfect foil for Morrison & another winger supporting. It does however give me the fear that Dowds may be our only option right now especially seen as there's still a lot to come from him.
  12. That is a bummer, I was planning on strategicly taking the rabbit's a walk around the stadium tomorrow in the hope I'd see some action.
  13. Somebody on the COYB page is claiming Keena's out for 6 weeks with a collarbone injury. Now normally take the COYB stuff with a pinch of salt but if true that gives us 1 recognised striker going into the first competitive game in 2 weeks. Sheerin also stated last night 4-3-3 is how he'll play so more likely to be the below. Mutch Williamson Mckay Dixon Mccann Telfer Hetherington Mcguffie Morrison Dowds Nesbitt
  14. You lot seem to be making the right kind of signings in Brown and Yeats. Anyone fancy taking one for the team and popping an up to date squad list on this thread.
  15. Did we opt against signing him or did Queens beat us to his signing.
  16. You just naming the worst two that come to mind?
  17. On another front who's wanting to play name the trialists? Goalkeeper 1? Goalkeeper 2? Ben Weekes Jaime Wilson Outfielder 3? Outfielder 4? Outfielder 5? Outfielder 6? Given the players we have been linked with on here and just a pure guess. I'll say possibly Calum Ferrie as the pure guess for one of the goalkeepers and Kane O'connor as possibly one of the outfield trialists. Can play centre back and centre mid so that roughly suits Sheerin's agenda from last night.
  18. I can't take the credit there it's been said for years.
  19. I think it's painstakingly obvious what the board wouldn't agree to as it's been papped on here several times. The navy blue group wanted Deans gone and only 2 of the remaining board leftover. Gordon Colborn's answer last night alluded to 'we couldn't do that as our shareholders had voted Gary/other board members in place' essentially the boards point of view is the demands were too much but the NB's point of view is for the money they were proposing they were entitled to ask for whatever they wanted. The NB group were obviously willing to concede on certain parts of their wants but the board obviously weren't going to concede, probably didn't help that obviously all of the board and the Rawlins have become quite tight nit over the past year so asking for that to be disbanded was always going to be a tough ask(obviously that doesn't make it the wrong thing for the NB group to ask for as we all know here our board could still do with a shake up) We keep getting told about the three pronged stool and how the club would love to have fans on board in the running of the club but that's exactly what NB were asking for, 2 from the current board, 2 from the rawlins and 2 from the navy blue group with an independent chairmen which is obviously a three pronger and the board clearly couldn't come to terms with losing a few of the current members which is disappointing. In summary some of the demands from the NB group seemed a bit strong but when you are ponying up that kind of money you are entitled to make demands. Still seems like a massive opportunity missed to dilute Standy and Martin Ritchie's shares and have a much needed change at the top with fans and football men on the board.
  20. Mutch Williamson Mckay Dixon Mccann Telfer Hetherington Ross Morrison New Mcguffie
  21. From the snippets in that video and the comments Stranraer fans gave about him yes. Disappointed we seem to have missed out on him as he looked exactly the type of young hungry striker we need. Hopefully goes on to prove himself at the higher level and better himself over the two years.
  22. I'm late in the day but it took a while for me to piece my way through that. I thought the session on the whole was much better than I anticipated, I felt it actually did help not having it as a live session as it would have turned into a pissing contest and could have easily got out of hand. Any worries that Lewis was going to give them an easy ride were dispelled in the first question asked 'Why did no one resign after last season' I thought he was excellent throughout in what was a very difficult position for a club volunteer to be in. Holt did come across as a bellend but he does so in every single interview and I think it's more his weird sense of humour or attempts at humour that don't help him. Disappointed that we're only going to have 18 signed players of our own as I thought it would be more around the 20 mark especially with only 1 goalkeeper in the squad currently. But exciting to hear Sheerin talking about 3/4 loans already so he clearly has players in mind he'd like to bring in. 2 goalkeepers and 5/6 outfielders on trial currently. 1 goalkeeper, a striker and a versatile defender who can play centre back or right back was the key areas Sheerin felt we needed. Sheerin likes to play a 4-3-3 which sounds interesting considering our only recognised centre midfielders currently are Telfer, Hetherington and Gary Miller. I'm not hanging too much on that as if Sheerin's any good as a manager he should adapt or amend the system to suit the players when he's seen them in a few games. Major disappointment was Holt calling Ben Hall a key player last season. Hopefully it doesn't take Sheerin long to see how shite he is. Also disappointed to hear we have missed out on Paton as he certainly looked promising and at still only 20 you would like to think he would have more than fit into the sellable asset category had he signed and improved this season. Looks as if championship teams aren't being shy with their government 500k hand off last season so it'll be difficult for us to compete with that.
