  1. Happy enough with that he done very well at Stenhousemuir in terms of engaging the community and fits our family club ethos. He's also an absolute workhorse.
  2. Also noticed Ruth or Virtanen weren't involved yesterday. Ruth's already been linked with us but has there been any noise on Virtanen going anywhere?
  3. Holt possibly signed him for Livingston and he managed 4 stints coming off the bench before being loaned out. Even if his Partick loan was to do with injuries he went to QP and wasn't even a confirmed starter there with 4 starts in his 9 games. He actually looks good in the air for someone that's not overly big, attacks the ball well. I say possibly as I think there's a bit of contention as to who was pulling the strings at Livingston.
  4. If they were then surely they'd have signed one of the trialists by now. Ruth wasn't in either of the Aberdeen teams yesterday(they fielded two seperate 11's in each half) and neither was Miko Virtanen.
  5. Same Livingston player Partick played once then sent back to Livingston so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
  6. Played 1 game with Partick then Mccall sent him back so I can only assume he was honking.
  7. We need at least 2 strikers in especially with Keena out injured.
  8. Wasn't fancied at Partick last season they even sent him back early from his loan, I don't think he's the answer. He'll end up at Queens Park no doubt.
  9. I'm not asking for them to come out and say 'we've offered contracts to x, y and z' but a bit of a squad update wouldn't go amiss. They touched on it in the Q&A but in Sheerin's interview last week there was nothing other than him mentioning that decisions on the trialists would be made this week. What's wrong with coming out and saying 'we're still working hard to bring in new recruits for the coming season, with Paul Sheerin still looking to bring in a Striker etc.' An update on any injuries ie Keena who's been heavily leaked but would be nice for the club to clear up how that injury actually is and given we're all aware of the two trialist strikers if they've made the decision to not sign them why not tell us that.
  10. I get that the board have now opened up a channel for fans to ask any questions that they may have but we shouldn't have to be asking what's happening on the squad front. That kind of thing should be communicated as regularly as possible to try drum up as much excitement for the season as possible and therefore sell as many season tickets as possible. We're not the only team in the league with just 16 players signed but being full time and having had a director of football in place since January you'd think we wouldn't be in this position so close to the competitive season starting.
  11. Halliday commentating on the way we played against Hearts the other day is good especially as he also played against us in preseason last year so hopefully he's noticed a big difference. Pointing out Sheerin seems to have got his way of playing across straight away was nice to hear. Then Holt bringing it back down to our level with 'we don't need to play all the time' bloody hoofball fanatic. 16 players with your first competitive game in less than a week is very very worrying.
  12. Where's the striker on loan from England with a good track record?
  13. Maybe trying to convince Kevin Kyle to put the boots back on.
  14. Surely we'll see a few signings in before Tuesday's game. Yes we don't want signings rushed but we've not even got a back up goalkeeper.
  15. Morton taking the hit for the full of Scotland and signing Jack Hamilton(the diddy one). Some team. https://www.gmfc.net/goalkeeper-jack-hamilton-signs-for-morton/
  16. As we were planning on playing tonight I doubt we'd have arranged something for Saturday, probably wanted to just give them a weeks worth of training before the first competitive game. Don't understand why they don't just play 7 a side between themselves tonight and stick it on Falkirk TV. Mutch in one goal and any many in the other.
  17. You've made a right balls up of that copy and paste job.
  18. Disappointed the games off tomorrow but I'd imagine it's because either us or Arbroath have been hit with Covid. Given Nesbitt, Sneddon and Dixon were missing from the squad against Hearts it could well be us.
  19. Doesn't stop us offering deals to players from down south and letting them think about their own accomodation. Makes our offer a lot less appealing but if you don't buy a ticket for the lottery you won't ever win.
  20. Everything's just clicked for Megginson at Cove and he's clearly flourished and gained a lot of confidence from being their main man. In his earlier days I didn't think he looked a bad player and if I'm not mistaken he was used a lot out wide for the teams you have mentioned instead of straight through the middle.
  21. 12 league goals in the last two seasons. You've been drinking too much with the scarf. I don't doubt that he's less of a gamble than our current strikers though and he could possibly flourish this season at the scum.
  22. Hamilton may be getting a shot at the Livingston first team this year, Keatings & Todorov aren't 'proven goalscorers' and Mckay we probably had no chance with given he would have preferred to stay up north instead of moving his family. Paton was the only realistic one and even he was a gamble.
  23. It's certainly going to have to be a gamble on someone but we'll hopefully source better gambles than John Robertson or Jaime Wilson. Probably needs to be someone from down south as there's obviously not many players up here still fishing about for a club, unless we're relying on someone falling out of favour for us to loan. Holt needs to start using any contacts he may have as we need a few out the box signings to bolster the starting line up.
