  1. Ross Graham looked a good prospect for Cove last season in the games I seen him play. Still a bit raw in terms of his positioning but at 20 that's understandable. Should be a good back up for you lot. @CoveRangers1922 will be able to give you a fuller debrief than I have.
  2. Here's hoping. Could be doing with a Paddy Cregg/Andy Nelson/Lyle Taylor type signing.
  3. I felt sorry for Brough as he was never given a proper shot at it up here. He spent all his time in Bannatynes keeping himself fit.
  4. It's definitely how he's being used. There's been a lot of that the past few years.
  5. Hartley's type of signings weren't wrong that summer. What was wrong was not getting them in to have an actual look at them first. Signing them on the whim of a crooked scout/agent. I'm not afraid to say I was dripping at the bit that summer. Until the first game in the league cup.
  6. Worried that without the creativity of Froxylias they might not be able to express themselves properly. Or Sammut dictating the game in behind them.
  7. Bring him home Got to be him or TOE would be delighted with either.
  8. My point was that with the guff Latapy was coming out with that's probably something he'd say. People who over simplify football as a means to try make their point valid. "All he has to do is defend"
  9. Aw come off it, if a players putting in a good cross every time he won't be playing at our level that's for sure. Morrison will be a key player for us this season and if we sign a proper striker then we'll see a much better return on his assists. We were shite last season but still the amount of chances Sammon missed was incredible. "How can a professional footballer miss from 12 yards"
  10. It won't be the only example but it's very much the prime example that sticks to mind. Around 5 minutes and 30 seconds in Morrison literally can't do any better with that delivery. A 6 yard tap in for Sammon and he hits the bar.
  11. Morrison needs to work on his final ball but to say he's not creative is a joke. He was one of the only players last season teams were scared of and hence they doubled up to try nullify him. One of the only players last season I'd have happily paid the £19 pay at the gate to watch. No wonder he only got 2/3 assists we had Sammon playing upfront the majority of the season.
  12. We've literally just watched 2 seasons of hoofball and you're advocating it? Get the ball down and play. Yes we need to have a bit of grit and be capable of battling but we need to control games and play football which is the only way we'll break teams in this league down. Our only creativity came from Morrison and Telfer(who was largely injured) last season. So the new signings in Nesbitt, Mcguffie and Ross need to add to that so we're less likely to be nullified by for example Morrison being doubled up on. Mccann and Williamson pushing higher up the park should also help with that as it should mean teams can't double up on our wingers.
  13. Ruth and another most likely. Robertson getting himself a goal yesterday according to Bridge of Allan bairn. Wouldn't be too comfortable with either Robertson or Wilson being the other as they don't seem to offer anything different from what we already have.
  14. There's no doubt he has goals in him but he's not going to make those goals for himself. If we're playing one upfront then he shouldn't be starting but he's a good option to have coming off the bench when the games opened up a bit. He's not going to hold the ball up for you or run the channels. His game is finding the right place in the box to put away chances, we never created any chances last season so he couldn't do that.
  15. Doubt it'll have been Mccann playing at right back. Could have been the same trialist we had against Irvine Meadow?
  16. Going on loan to another championship club at 19 years old is descending downwards now? I'd be more inclined to commend him for going out on loan again and getting proper game time rather than festering away in the reserves at the fud brothers.
  17. Normally I'd agree with you but Nesbitt was basically signed before Sheerin was in the door like quite a few others so I don't think squad numbers will mean much this season.
  18. You clearly don't have a clue what they are like which is why you asking if they were rated so how can you say they are 'meh' when you haven't even seen a minute of them playing for us? You waiting on us signing Edouard and Morelos?
  19. Surely Berra and Benedictus aren't going to be Mcglynn's preferred pairing? I watched a bit of the Stanraer game the other night and anything over the top will kill them two together. Fans on our thread were asking for Berra to be signed last summer and he looked past it then. Never mind a year on. Obviously completely different ball game if he's got someone with pace in beside him and he doesn't have to worry about the ball over the top.
  20. Mutch Williamson Mckay Dixon Mccann Telfer Hetherington Ross Morrison New Mcguffie I do want another centre midfielder to come in, one with a bit of energy and power but this would still be an improvement on last season's starting line up. We've also got to remember the majority of our issue's last season were because M&M were playing hoofball. I don't expect that to be Sheerin's style which should make a massive difference.
  21. We're not going to sign head turners in the third division of Scottish football. We're also not even in July yet so we've plenty of time to get a striker in. Declan Mcmanus and Rudden both came late in the transfer window if I remember correctly.
