Don’t like too many subs as it stops the flow of the game.
Things are fine as they are just now.
Yeah I also think it will give us less of an advantage over the part time teams as they'll have more opportunities to change things up when they start getting tired later on in games.

Once the minor issues are sorted, Keena will be announced as our fourth signing.
Who's our fifth?

What was Robbie Leitch like with you lot last season, apologies if this has already been covered off.

Laverty hadn't played for a year due to injury and couldn't get match sharpness with us as we didn't have a reserve team. He went to Brechin, but as they were literally fighting for their existence in the league I think they needed fit battlers and didn't have the luxury of easing him in. He didn't get a lot of game time.
Not sure what will happen this season. The last time I saw him play was at the start of November 2018 at St Andrews in a closed-door game V Dundee Utd. McKinnon used it to assess a number of trialists and shortly after that it was announced that he'd done his ACL. So when the season commences it will be almost two years since he's played in a Falkirk shirt.
A quick check of the online stats shows that Leitch played six games for Forfar and appears to have been a regular in their squad after joining them. No idea how well or badly he did, but if you want to inquire in their thread I'm sure someone will give an opinion.
I think Laverty's more a case of goodwill from the club I don't expect him to be involved much although I hope to be proved wrong on that one as we'd all love to see a youngster of our own doing well. Leitch looks to have been used as a right midfielder at Forfar so it'll be interesting to see what their fans thought of him. I can only remember his cameo's in the preseason friendlies where he looked good but I suppose everyone up's their game when they are playing for a contract.

Happily text him the now and show it if he lets me.
If he doesn't start the text back with 'top of the morning' or 'what's the craic?' I won't be convinced.

Bainsfordbairn can you shed any light on the keena situation?
He doesn't tend to comment until they are concluded which is what the people associated with our club should be doing to avoid all these gazumptions. But the longer it goes on the more likely it is that we're not going to get him.

Nope. We want young players on their way up.
Correct, Paul Dixon's covering our over 30's quota just fine all by himself. So we can let Sammon go to a good home.

Luckily he's going to have them in the black and gold
Our plastic pitch wouldn't have been able to handle it anyway.

Missed the part where you told everyone he's signing for East Fife
So did everyone just humour him we'll all be able to move on with our lives.

Fair enough he's obviously done with full time football and at 33 you can't really blame him. Very good signing none the less.

The only reason I can think of for Swanson signing on with a Montrose or Stirling is that he's done with full time football and wants to focus on a career outwith the game.

I'm not a family member of a player.
Yous are getting Keena though just need him to be off the books officially so that it's just paying a nominal fee him and Dowds will be incredible together
Fancy telling us who else we're getting and we'll repay you with a more than nominal set of reactions

Celtic looking to loan out Ralston again - surely we should have a go...?
If we're having our pick of Celtic youngsters I'd rather have Ewan Henderson or Stephen Welsh but they're probably a bit above this level.

They were talking about letting him go because it was the right thing to do but they never mentioned anything about him being free. Could be that they expect us to buy him out his contract or they want a sell on percentage included.

"However Keena is 21 and due to the striker’s age training development fees could be applicable, and with the transfer being cross-border there are added steps which must be taken before the Irish under-21 cap can be officially pronounced a Falkirk player."

Never mind the fixtures can we announce some players this afternoon i'm chomping at the bit over here. A centre back that can deal with Goodwillie would be preferrable as otherwise that's us 9 points down before the season starts...

It’s just a question of facing reality.
In the past I would sit with the laptop on, the Falkirk Twitter page open, waiting to see who we were going to sign, staying up past midnight, excited to see what proven name or diamond in the rough that we had signed. Maybe signing somebody from left field like a Simon Stainrod or unearthing a talent like Will Vaulks, Lyle Taylor or Farid El Alugui. These days I switch the laptop off, go to sleep and then switch it back on the morning to see who we haven’t signed.
Due to mismanagement in the past, both on and off the field, we now find ourselves in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. What type of players are we going to attract? Crap players who aren’t good enough even for a Scottish Championship side, that’s who. For the time being our chances of signing anybody even half decent are gone so pardon me for being down on any of our new signings, they will be shit because we are now shit, we deserve each other.
It’s being so cheerful that keeps me going.
Aren't people who live outside the UK supposed to be happier?
