A good point. Although I have it on authority (his auld man!) that he’s not homesick and wants to stick to the central belt.
Can you not grease him up with a few kit kat chunkies?

Don’t think they have a fit striker
Was Burrell out at bongo's bingo too?

Striker wise Jay Bird has lots of attributes McGlynn likes in a striker, wouldn't cost much but looks disinterested at times.
I'd imagine McGlynn could get more out of him. 6 goals and 2 assists for a piss poor Arbroath team. Showing what he can do at 1:35 in the below highlights.

Think Nesbitt has done enough to warrant starting as the 10 next year.
Nesbitt's had a fantastic season and I have no doubt he'll start next season as our number 10, I however would like to see a quality option signed there who can prove better than Nesbitt when they get their chance.

Assuming Allan is offski in the summer and we retain Yeats, Tait, Ross and Shanley then my 3 starting position upgrades would be at GK, 10 and ST.
2 more signings as cover would take us to a senior squad of 22 which I don't think is too unrealistic.

Super John did say we were due someone a doing but I never expected it to be last night, brilliant to see Ross get his first league goal and a cracking assist.
Quality ball over the top from Tait to start that Nesbitt goal off too. Ross MacIver getting bloody two, Shanley & Agye coming off the bench to score and even Yeats nearly scored.
Get Yeats, Tait, Ross and Shanley confirmed for next season please super John.

No issues at all with Nicky getting a new deal. I'd like to echo what others have said though, as I do feel an experienced back-up keeper would really help. Derek Gaston at Arbroath would be a good option, as he has coaching experience already. Michael McGovern of Hearts, for obvious reasons, would be another good choice. Even Jamie MacDonald at Morton would do. A younger alternative could be Jamie Sneddon at Partick Thistle, who is out of contract in the summer. He has bags of experience at championship level. I would expect him to probably be first choice, as opposed to back-up however.
Michael McGovern's taking the experienced part a bit too far as he'll be 40 in the summer so will probably be considering retiring if he doesn't get another year at Hearts.
Your other three options are absolutely honking. Give me Ryan Fulton, Josh Rae or someone from down south.

Very happy with Hogarth staying, deserves the right to fight for the starting jersey next season.

No Henderson. Thought Mackie played well last week so hopefully plays as well on Saturday again.
Hester's a different proposition. Should have too much for them going forward though. 3-1.

Interesting appointment for the assistant officials
Better shift his fat Tory arse off the park pronto at the full time whistle or it'll be a remake of the lion king with a navy blue stampede.

Not anything particularly reliable but heard he was interested in coming here and doing his coaching badges.
Said the same when someone mentioned Berra a few years ago, absolutely a no from me.
He's been pish for years, luckily for him as have Hibs.

I think he would get more out him and the way you guys play would suit him more. Definitely a player in there .
Had heard murmurs from someone in the club Mikey McKenna turned down new deal and is going to Falkirk. Not sure if there’s any truth in it .We're in need of a new number 10 to push Nesbitt and Oliver for the starting spot but I would have never imagined Mckenna as an option.
Would be strange for him to go full time at 33.

Good player but very frustrating . Can hold onto the ball to often at times but that could be to do with the current team.
Also heard another of our players is a done deal to Falkirk next season.Who's that?
Bird's a McGlynn wet dream in terms of his mould for a striker and at 22 there's plenty of development in there but I worry his lack of desire is holding that back. Could just be he needs the right manager to bring that hunger out of him.

Jay Bird, what's your thoughts on him this season?
Thought he looked a right good prospect in the pre season games as he looks to have loads of positive attributes but every time I see him in your highlights it just looks like he can't be arsed.
Is it a case of lots of talent but no drive?

As much as Morrison takes the headlines for the goals, Coll Donaldson has played every single game this season and has been monumental in keeping the unbeaten run going especially thinking of that penalty he won at Edinburgh.
Captain Coll for me.

So would you say Dennis Mehmet, Joe Chalmers & the like should be regarded as Dunfermline legends based on what they achieved last season if it weren't for that one loss against Montrose?
Team with the biggest budget by far, no constraints in comparison to any of the other sides, put out the SC by lower league opposition, won the league at a canter - it's a good season, great for you lot undoubtedly considering the misery this league has been for you lads, but legendary? Come on now.
They were quick enough to give Mehmet his legendary 3 year deal last summer.
Conveniently left out the fact we've also beat 3 championship clubs this season in the cup. Ayr, Queens Park and rode Dundee United silly. Also dominated Partick Thistle with 10 men before losing a late equaliser.
It's some feat for any team to go unbeaten through a whole league season so on that basis I'm sure Dunfermline fans would have classed that side last year as legends.

I'm not trying to punch down and I suppose it is getting you out of the lowest situation you've ever been in, but Falkirk winning League One, shouldn't be getting the players and management heralded as 'legends' just because your previous attempts have been utterly woeful. Only Hamilton have even posed a slight challenge out of the FT teams and a lot of their fans think their manager is incompetent.
Come on lads, great season for you, great to see the back of this league but a club the size of Falkirk should not be deeming people legends for getting you out of League One regardless of going unbeaten or not!
Nobody thinks the team are legends just because we'll have been promoted out of league one.
They'll be legends because of the manner they've done it.
Unbeaten in the league all season(hopefully), 2nd best defensive record in the country, most goals scored in the spfl and the top goalscorer in the spfl.

Mackie Donaldson as centre defence tomorrow?
Against the team who scored 2 goals against us from set pieces last time out it's a blow, hopefully he makes the game as otherwise we'll have Donaldson as our only real height.

Easton, Watson, Thomson, Dick, Matthews, Ross, McGill, Millen, Corr, McNeil and Masson.
The last 6 will likely be away - McNeil might get offered a deal as a back up keeper. Millen had a dispute with Murray which led to him training on his own.
Thomson is our goalkeeping coach so that might impact things too.
I'd expect Easton will either re-sign with us or go to a top flight club. Naturally, he'll be waiting until the season is over before signing a new deal. Ironically, he's not performed as well after the game at Tannadice where he started getting linked heavily with a move to the top flight.
Watson has been out with injuries for most of the season so I'm unsure if we'll offer him a new deal. Dick is a consistent left back but I can't see Falkirk needing that with McCann.
I'd hope we offer Matthews a new deal. He's been superb since coming back from a long term recurring injury.
Transfermarket has Sam Stanton listed out of contract, but he signed a new long term deal in December.
I had Liam Dick as the other potential in my mind as McGlynn signed him for you, he's local to us and he can fill in at centre back if needed.

Probably to give them as much time as possible to try think of a reason any non Falkirk employee deserves it before inevitably giving it to the navy blue machine again.
