Surely that has to be Whatley to RB now with all those midfielders signed?

Doris and Hester up front for me. Hester pace will cause Montrose problems on the artificial pitch.

East fife in the next round! Awful tie but at least its at home
Why an awful tie?0 -
I'd go with the same lineup as 1320. As above hopefully another centre half in and hammy to left back

As much as I think the challenge cup is a duff tournament it would be nice to take a win going into our first league game.
My only concern is being a centre half short and haven't seen much from Prunty yet but he has had a later pre season than most. Actually think Doris and Hester could be a good combo. Think the new league cup is a tough one for lower league teams but if we can be organised like we were against utd then we will win plenty of games this season.0 -
I hope Dunlop is just struggling for fitness at the moment because he looks horrific.

There was an hour highlights program on BT which I recorded

Fair got the run about there. Second half was better and atleast Prunty and Malin finally got a run out. Little and Hamilton were good even though it was 4..
Mutch had a mare on the free kick goal and Dunlop sold two.
I hope this United game hasn't come too soon.
I thought the second half was worse than the first0 -
Yeah that's probably it although I'd prefer my ticket for gayfield not to have Dundee United plastered all over it.They'll just have the equipment for that or whatever, we never do all ticket, last all ticket game we had must've been back in 2013 for Celtic. They're all ticket nearly every week. Atleast you'll kin your way about Tannadice now.

Anyone any idea why Dundee Utd have printed the tickets for the cup tie? Seems a bit strange having a picture of the seating plan of Tannadice on the back

Looked like different folk when I walked past today. Highlights were decent. They highlights look alot better than last seasons...?
Different guy doing it or something?

Have to agree Hamilton looks class but wasted at centre half for me but it's good that he can cover that position. Defence and signing another keeper has to be the priority. One more striker would be nice but don't think oden fits the bill on first look. Wouldn't mind seeing him again though.I'm sure they will. Our midfield and attack seems pretty good atm although I'd like to add another winger and a striker. Main concern for me is CB-I want Hamilton at LB and Dunlop doesn't look fit at all and comes with reports of being injury prone.

Not bad. Anyone know which games at home/away

I think he was a decent keeper and would have liked to keep him but he didn't cover himself in glory when dick took over and that is what the manager is looking at, not the previous form that he wasn't present to witness. Harsh on Fleming based on the overall season he had but understandable based on what dick saw.
Wish him all the best and sure he will find a club no bother.

Parry works in East Kilbride so not sure if he would fancy the travelling to Forfar

Looking forward to seeing what next season brings as hopefully we will improve. Doris is a good signing and knows where the goal is which was ultimately Rutherfords weak point this season. Hopefully get a few more experienced players and push for promotion.

I don't know anybody that wanted Lumsden appointed as manager but to get on his back at the very beginning of the season was ridiculous and nothing to be proud of. Most of the fans wanted to support the management and the team and give them a chance. Would have loved it if it had worked out. I think most fans thought deep down it wasn't going to work but the club made a decision and we had to support that."For once"? I was right about Lumsden right from the start, thats at least twice, but thanks anyway

Would take Doris back in a heartbeat. Would make a good partnership with Hester

Not for Brechin!

I'm not thinking that all would be starters but some good young players there that have potential. I think most of the young players will be able to improve with some good experienced signings.

Out of the squad who would you want to keep next year?
We have Linn and Whatley signed.
I would offer Fleming, Little, Munro, Lowden, Rutherford and Hester new deals and that would it.

If you look at the games we had at home recently the main issue is we couldn't score a goal. We had quite a lot of the ball and created chances but couldn't score. We totally dominated against East Stirling in the last game. I'm not sure if all of a sudden our midfield is somehow incapable of tackling or passing and creating chances. We're not in good form but we do have the players to turn this round. We just need some confidence and better tactics. Whatley - poor recently but a good player. Stewart - lacking match sharpness but again decent player. Ramsay - poor recently but has turned in some decent performances. Linn - always offers something but goals have dried up. If these guys return to top form and the strikers get some confidence then we will be ok.

I don't think Whatley avoids tackling. Hasn't been at his best recently but played left and right back last year and was superb si obviously can tackle. We do miss Hunter and Nicoll from midfield. Another reason we should have kept mcwalter. He was a bit raw but never got games to improve and certainly knew how to tackle. We should play the 11 guys who are most up for the fight but options are limited.Agree apart from Lowdon, the rest avoid contact

Walking Down The Halbeath Road

I'm sure you can play trailist in league games below the top league as long as the player was previously registered at a Scottish club unless that's changed recently.
