Kadar was good second half when playing on the right. Not suited to the left. Gold had a solid game along with TOB. Hester, Doris and Denholm all good from the bench. Good work out against a poor Montrose side.

most of our players have played 3 games in 6 days what really do you expect . the biggest let down was hester sorry lads but he has foumd his level had his chance today to impress dc but fell way short
Played well against the second best team in the country when he came on and caused them a lot of problems but after playing 3 games in 6 days we should bin him because he didn't play great yesterday. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I certainly don't think Hester is the finished article but he offers something different to our other strikers and could be useful as the season progresses.0 -
Seem to remember the photo in the paper replaced the offending article with a smokie

Remember Aberdeen beat Dundee 7 - 0 at dens end of March so no surprises that they are a stronger outfit. Also Aberdeen been back in training for Europe etc so not sure I'd be losing any sleep if I was a Dundee fan. That said they were poor.

Nail on the head with these posts.
Henry was lucky to stay on with his challenge. It was right in front of me and looked awful. In a competitive game he'd have walked. What was up O'Dea's arse!?
Yule looks fantastic on the ball, and that's been against top flight sides. More than held his own up against Scott Allan second half.
Better shift from Swankie today. Doris excellent again. Good work from Hester too.
If I'm a Dundee fan, I'm VERY worried.
See ye's next season!
Dundee player rolled at least 3 more times than necessary so yellow was fine for me.0 -
Terrific 1st half......shite 2nd half. None of the trialists look any good.
Have to agree. Once the defence went off you knew what was coming.0 -
Hopefully Yule can kick on. Very promising start last night.
Thought he was our best player first half. Competition for places is going to be high this season.0 -
Think this is the best squad we have assembled in quite a few seasons. Feeling optimistic for the coming season.

A very useful run out and we did really well considering the players we had missing. Yule looks the part and TOB will be a great addition
Maybe I'm slightly old school but should players not be taking their holidays end of may or in June?
Whatley for example is a teacher so not much option other than now for a holiday.0 -
£8k is a bit steep but remember we raised close to £5k with the kit auction so that would pay a fair bit of the fee aswell!
Wasn't saying we didn't have the money but feel it could have been spent differently. That said it may play into the wage we are offering.0 -
Don't think we should be paying a fee for him. £8000 is a lot for a PT club and we could of used that on getting another player. Feel like it is a good deal for Forfar.

Swankie is a good player and was arguably man of the match when Forfar won at gayfield last season. If he comes back then I'm sure he could still do a job for us but we should really be looking at spending our money elsewhere imo.

I'd take a pass. Wage would be better spent elsewhere.

That said we have 4 strikers and 4 attacking midfielders. We only have 4 defenders so that has to be a priority.

Happy with those fixtures at a first glance.

It's a very top heavy squad not much defensive cover. Possibly loan signing as cover.

Shame to have a player of the quality of ToB playing centre half but looking at the players signed I would agree looks like a back four of Gold, Little, ToB, Hammy. Very solid sounding defence.

If we don't sign another defender Hamilton will definitely be playing left back.

Good bit of money raised from the shirt sponsorship. Nice funds to get in the bank.

Get this to absolute f**k - I would hope and expect our club, and every other club, tell the SPFL to f**k off with this nonsense.
Agreed. No need for colt teams in the pyramid. 2 fingers up to them and move on.0 -
Mutch vs inverness still gives me the boke
Only the 7 conceded in that game1 -
Think it's pretty obvious Gomes will and should start as no1, he was the keeper for the champions while Gibson struggled with Clyde, however I like the idea of having a proper no2 signed instead of whoever is available on loan to keep ricki on his toes,
Yeah if you look what happened last season Gomes got injured against Inverness U20 just before the season started and that forced us to go with Mutch from the start. Now only DC will know if he would have put Gomes or Mutch in from the start but that forced his hand. Having a proper experienced back up if certainly preferable.0

Skelly needs to put a decent shift in. He has been the most disappointing player for me pre season.
