  1. Ban also prevents them from playing in those lucrative pre-season friendlies.
  2. Right, I am sure this has already been covered (probably the most used phrase on this juggernaut of a thread). It was said that Green would buy rangers assets (ibrox, murray park etc.) for 5.5m if the CVA fails. I thought the creditors would take control of the assets if the CVA was rejected and it was theirs to do with as they see fit. I know Green could buy them from the creditors but the media (cough) report it as there would be no creditor involvement. Could someone clarify this for me, please.
  3. A reasonable person would think that the new SPL rules would be used to send a message. It is hard to imagine a more FUBAR mess than rangers prolonged administration. If they impose anything less than the strictest penalties at their discretion then it would only invite further financial cheating. That being said, a reasonable person would also expect the SPL to tell a newco rangers to GTF and apply to the third division.
  4. Been away for the weekend, with no real chance to keep up. Could someone give me a catch-up of the whole weekends scandal (hilarity). Please.
  5. Depressingly, Rangers demise has become my drug of choice. The euphoria when more scandal comes out. The harsh come-down when I realise they are still going. Chasing the dragon for the true high.
  6. From what I understand Stuart Milne has personally guaranteed Aberdeens debt with the bank. Milne would have to go bankrupt before there was an Aberdeen newco.
  7. Not sure if it was from this site. There was a well written letter which could be sent to the chairman of any club expressing the concerns of the supporter over the Rangers fiasco. As the pro newco press is starting to gather pace, I think it's time contact the chairmen again and make our feelings heard, en masse. If any one knows of the letter could you please re-post or send a link.
  8. What about Jim Spence? The poor guy has spent most days arguing fact to Trayno/Young/Dodds fiction.
  9. yyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaassssssss! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18099048
  10. Thought they tried to get a judge to make the Colyer Bristow a priority, he said GTF it'll be heard in October as scheduled.
  11. How is this deal going to fall through; CVA not possible 1-5 They look at the books 2-1 Gers fans protest 3-1 Blue Knights dig up dirt 7-2 It was all a D&P lie 9-1 P&B give better offer 50-1
  12. Wonder if the SPL would let them sell. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8585099.stm
  13. As I understand it that's a pre-contract. A club will have agreed a pre-contract with a player and said they have paid X amount, but the monies wont be passed until the transfer window. Similarly you rarely see clubs pay all of the money for a player at once (Jelavic to name one).
  14. No, registration can only happen during the transfer windows. Pre-contracts can be set up but no money can be exchanged.
  15. Pretty much all of Europe's transfer window starts 1st July, so selling is not really an option. I hadn't considered terminating contracts. Meaning zero money for their top players, brilliant.
  16. I am not sure if it has been asked/answered yet, but how are they paying for players from 1st of June. Not enough time for a CVA, so either they're going to have to liquidate or ask the players to go without pay. Is there another option?
  17. "Can teams compete in Europe if their budget is reduced?" Compared to this season they can't do any worse.
  18. The longer this goes on the better the chance they wont get back in, assuming season tickets aren't selling.
