New season http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=7833§ionId=1 but the same old shite scoring - 3 out of 10 for Monday. An absolutely brutal set of questions. I got Dr Who, the Olympics and Kenneally right. Looking at the other questions, the only one I'm ashamed of getting wrong was the Costa Rica question. A return to my roots in the bottom league beckons.

7 out of 10 for Thursday. It's going to be successive relegations, I just know it. Got the mountain, cross country and (feck me) the last French president wrong.

I went through a period of watching National Geographic's 'Seconds from Disaster' series a few years back. Some things stick with you.

I think they said on the radio that it was closed.

I'll post a full reply later. Got to nip out to a coffee morning first.

And yet they claim their target audience doesn't include the alzheimer's alliance.

The good thing about Gale is that she doesn't follow me around quite as much as Melanius Mullarkey.

So, that's basically everyone except Granny Danger catered for. And what's wrong with music from the 60s?

On holiday this week, so an extra-early link. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=7793§ionId=1 And a slightly better 6 out of 10 for me for Tuesday. As usual, got the Antipodean question wrong.

Wait. There were 3 of us in the play-offs?? I thought it was two up, two down and the 3rd bottom versus 3rd top. I need to pay attention to the the rules. There are rules... aren't there? ETA: Sorry, NorthernJambo. Can't promise I won;t do something similar next time I'm in trouble, though.

I strongly suspect I've been demoted over the weekend (who knew Uranus had 15 moons!). So, for my first Monday back in the seaside leagues, it's a suitably miserable 4 out of 10. Apologies to any seaside league habitues. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=7783§ionId=1

https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/dundee/512641/two-vehicles-crash-dundee-road-articleisfree/ (Nearly) minimum number of vehicles involved in a multi-car pile-up in Dundee. No Scottish people hurt. BTW: would you call that 'a truck' or 'a van'.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=7763§ionId=1 7 out of 10 again. As far as the ones I got wrong go, it's a Sign of the Times that African capitals and Pre-Menstrual PMs don't mix. Well that didn't work.

C'mon, Cardinal. Do the right thing and strip the titl... points from all these b*****ds (and that includes you) who admitted to being influenced by my naivety in posting a warning. These points were won off the back of an unfair and unsporting advantage. Let's call it what it is - it was cheating. If Scottish football forums are to hold their heads up in future, there must be an investigation. We need to learn from this before we all move on. Of course, I may just play a double-bluff before the end of the week and claim the quiz master got a question wrong when they didn't. I'll wait until tomorrow to see how close I am to relegation first.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=7753§ionId=1 7 out of 10 but it should be 8. Their answer to the that last Louis question is plain WRANG.
