  1. Do you think any repacement is going to have the resources to do any better?
  2. But, strangely, the SFA still exists and Rangers don't. If a rule is flawed and pointless, that's the kind of flawed and pointless I like.
  3. For most, it is. However, for many fans of The Rangers (and of Celtic), it's more than that - it's a cosy comfort blanket that they wear to cover up their own inadequacies. They think their teams's successes somehow make up for their own lack of purpose. Weearrupeepul, my arse.
  4. Look, Bendower. Nobody's disputing the size of your support. The fact that there are over 50,000 Glaswegians (hoho) willing to waste their money supporting your new team, proves nothing. We still beat the shite out of you last weekend.
  5. But, you have to remember that it wouldn't be the club breaking the rules (allegedly). It would be the company that owns the company that owns the club that owns the team that would be breaking the rules (allegedly).
  6. Yah think? If he'd said 'flown the coop', I wouldn't have bothered commenting.
  7. Mebbees Chuckie breaking it gently again? The P&L resurrected by Fotbawmad above is perhaps finger-in-the-air, and you can question some of the detail but, at a high level, it gives some idea of the likely deficit. You can add a million here, subtract a million there but the big picture is that there's a huge deficit. Wonder if they'll use some of the share issue cash to massage that loss down a bit. Also depends on whether you're talking about the team's losses, the club's losses, the company's losses or THE SUPER COMPANY's losses.
  8. Out of interest, if HMRC wins this appeal (and wins all the way to the Supreme Court) who is impacted? I'm assuming Murray is quaking it but why would The Rangers fans, or even ex-Rangers fans, be concerned? Rangers' titles are at stake anyway, since it's not the legality of EBTs that's being questioned but the fact that they weren't disclosed to the relevant footballing authorities - so Rangers could win the tax case and still suffer an EBT-related footballing judgement. Who has the most skin in this game?
  9. Are you suggesting that those outside Rangers are gradually inflating the wage figure? My suspicion is that Chucky is gradually disclosing the truth in manageable chunks.
  10. In the same way that Armstrong 'won' his Tour de France titles? And then had them stripped when found to be cheating?
  11. I feel like a heretic saying it but I have to agree. I'm working my way through The New Annotated edition (a pressie) and finding the annotations (that's 'notes' to plebes like you and me) more interesting than most of the stories. Sometimes I think ACD lives off the atmosphere created by the Jeremy Brett series on TV.
  12. And what of the company that operates the company that operates the club?
  13. He's your COMMUNICATIONS director, this is the 21st Century - and he's not on Twitter???
  14. 12-12-17 is possibly more realistic since The Rangers will be gone within the year.
  15. And the way he says "it's got a 'u' in it". So does the American 'aluminum' - it's the extra 'i', NOT the 'u' that makes the difference.
  16. The SFA/SPL/SFL are making it up as they go along. Note that The Rangers aren't complaining about them winging it this time round!
  17. 3 perfectly good SPL teams within 20 minutes. Let's hope you let your own kids choose their teams - none of this blue-blooded child abuse.
  18. He was born and brought up in Glasgow but went to work for a multi-national company based in Coupar Angus.
  19. I can't work out whether Green intends to give in at the last minute ("sorry, The Rangers' fans, we tried but, hey....") or whether he's still actively looking for a reason not to play football next season so that can back out gracefully. (Edited cos I can't spell the guy's name.)
