  1. He was born and brought up in Glasgow but went to work for a multi-national company based in Coupar Angus.
  2. I can't work out whether Green intends to give in at the last minute ("sorry, The Rangers' fans, we tried but, hey....") or whether he's still actively looking for a reason not to play football next season so that can back out gracefully. (Edited cos I can't spell the guy's name.)
  3. Sorry about sending the personal email - feckin technology. What it said was- give me the thread and the time of your post and I'll check whether I still think the reddie was fair.

  4. It was deemed illegal as a SANCTION for Oldco but is a valid CONDITION for Newco. FFS! Celtic fans???
  5. I think he means that, without Il Papa, there would be no saints - hence no crosses n stuff.
  6. But it's not a straightforward financial decision. The chairmen would have to weigh up the Sky money against their own lost fans.
  7. Could Green and Sally be showing such grace and humility because they've already been tipped the wink that they'll be back in the SPL on Monday? Before Granny jumps in and calls me a monger of doom, I don't personally believe it can or will happen, but that doesn't stop newRangers believing the promises.
  8. Rangers fans. Didn't they die out with the same meteor that did for the dinosaurs?
  9. Nothing to do with England not wanting them. Newco can't officially join the English FA while Scotland (their home country) has a professional football association. It's just the way it is.
  10. Remember, their running costs will dwarf those of every other club in SFL3. They have to make around £1M per month just to pay their Ibrox running costs. On top of that they have players' salaries, ground staff's wages , policing costs, Sally's pie bill etc. At £12 per ticket, twice a month... They are absolutely, totally, completely, undeniably, utterly.. fecked. Seriously. If it wasn't for Ibrox, they might have a fighting chance.
  11. Just keep drinking. That's my plan - McEwans Champion Ale is my weapon of choice. 4 bottles and I'll believe anything is possible - even that McCoist might look good in the third.
  12. I have a picture in my head of 41 craggy-faced old farmers, turning away as one and rolling their shirt sleeves back down, muttering "It's done" under their breaths. No pleasure, just a feeling of something that needed to be done, done.
  13. Smith, as soon as someone says 'to be honest with you', I'm ready for the lie. It's a major giveaway.
  14. I'm never certain whether the world is run by conspiracy or by cock-up. When it comes to the incompetents in charge of the SPL, I veer towards the latter. But. I'm prepared to be proven wrong.
  15. That's not abdicating responsibility. The SPL teams did what we asked of them - they voted to prevent Newco entering the SPL. If we're to blame the SPL teams for the subsequent threatening actions of the Cockwomble & co should we also blame the SFL clubs for voting Newco into the SFL KNOWING that they'll go straight to the First Division?
  16. It's been a long day and, after the Murray match, I'm a bit tired and emotional, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious but in what way have the SPL teams abdicated responsibility and delegated the decision to the SFL? What else could they have done other than say No to the Newco?
  17. There's a similar ODP to be held in Stirling today. Far less media coverage of it but the police expect up to 10,000 marchers and as many spectators. Neanderthals, every one of them.
  18. "But ye cannae kick us oot. We're huge." "So were dinosaurs. Now f**k off and find a tar pit. This is the time of the tiny mammals."
