I was slightly worried that we missed a chance to play you under veldman with the postponement but if this guy is still in charge for the rearrangement  that’s not as much of a problem.  Sounds like your still committed to philosophyball despite all the evidence

I’m becoming convinced that they’re trying to sicken us into Malky. There is nothing that could sicken me to that level, right enough.

That said, I’m happy to say I confidently predicted you lot would finish bottom before a ball was kicked… and I’m frankly surprised that anyone’s surprised at how the ‘Project’ is panning out. This league is far from pretty at times, but it’s brutally difficult to play in; whoever thought going with an inexperienced squad and failing to upgrade your defence was a good idea should be barred from football… a blend of arrogance and incompetence that makes supporters of other clubs happy to see you relegated.

    No offence.

None taken. I love Queen’s Park, but I don’t like us, if that makes sense.

I’m assuming they’re saying games as precaution more than anything in case a new manager isn’t appointed within the next couple games

A pretty disgraceful statement all in all. I’d of rather of had silence than read that nonsense article. It’s mental how much that’s angered me reading it

That’s where we are, really. It’s either complete nonsense or complete silence.

The only possible logic to not give us any update is that there must be a new guy in place. Why would it take so long to just announce that Nuijten and O’ware are taking the match on Saturday ?

Regardless, the sheer silence is unacceptable in any sense

If it’s because O’Ware is registered as a Kelty Hearts player, and we can’t even smoothly appoint one of our own coaches as caretaker, my heid is going to explode.

You could always put yourself up for nomination if you think they are that bad

A vacuous line of argument. They are elected to do a job and they’re not doing it. It’s like saying “why don’t you stand for Parliament then?” if someone criticises their MP.

My understanding is that there are a couple of folk standing, who will have fresh ideas and look to engage positively with fans. They will have my full backing.

Forgive me if I’m wrong with this one. But were you guys not over the moon with the signing policy pre season bringing in guys like Hepburn, Paton & Turner?

Nobody was against the signings themselves, but I don’t know a single Queen’s Park fan who didn’t want experienced heads in to supplement them. It would be obvious to everyone both around the club and looking in that we needed more. One look at our bench shows the lack of depth.

Why don't Queen's Park fans sing?: discuss.

Apart from a hardy small core who do their best every week the majority of the QP faithful don't sing or make much noise. Why?

Stenny was pretty good last year although I noticed that the far end of the main stand was usually quiet but I was hopeful that we would take some of that atmosphere back with us to Lesser.  But the few games there were pretty quiet too.

So what's up guys and ideas on changing it? Or will we always be labelled "what a sh#tey home support"?

Fans will react to what they see on the park, which has largely been horse shite this season. Stenny and Firhill were both better in terms of atmosphere. We’re always going to struggle to make a noise at Hampden because it’s so vast.

I’m quick to moan about the things we aren’t doing, but in fairness to the club they’ve accommodated a wee section for folk who want to stand and sing. Felt it was decent against Thistle and it’s probably no coincidence that it was one of the best performances of the season.

Like most teams, we’re far more vocal on the road. You can attribute that to being more huddled together and alcohol consumption. This was another reason for looking forward to building a decent wee stadium, but we all know what happened there. That Thistle game on a Friday night would have been a 3,000 sell out under the lights and the atmosphere and sense of occasion would have been brilliant.

in the absence of any info... who do we think would take the team on Saturday if nobody is appointed? O'Ware (assuming he can get the day off from Kelty)? Nuijten? McIntyre?

The vacuum is unacceptable. It doesn’t even require the new manager to be named. Just tell us who is taking training and a vague anticipated timescale. A club devoid of leadership. Two sentences on Saturday and f**k all.

  9. I think a candidate is looking at a number of things. Playing staff, budget, and facilities. They’re also looking at the people they’re potentially working for. The job is not as attractive to decent candidates as it has been in recent years. The two managers who’ve done the best jobs have been dumped or walked because they don’t like what or who they’re working with. That’s a big red flag for anyone looking to progress their career.

I think it’s the fans who are more bothered about where we play on a Saturday. Players and staff are fine as long as their training facilities are decent and they’re being paid.
