  1. I've seen this one. This is just before the bit where Sauron shows up and starts panelling everyone, isn't it? You have to admire the sheer brass balls on the Rangers fans. We don't do paying our way and we demand to be allowed to steal and cheat without facing any kind of punishment at all. Waiting for the riot to start - should be any minute now...
  2. "an enemy of the club"? I could never stand Mark Hately, for instance, but even I wouldn't describe him as "an enemy of Celtic". "Rival", is the word we're after here, surely. Or "knobber", at a push.
  3. The main character in Brookmyre's The Sacred Art of Stealing is a Rangers supporter who defends the club from accusations of institutional bigotry (not very well IMHO, but it's a hard case to make). Also defends the Rangers supporters at the 72 cup final, pointing out that they were fighting with General Franco's fascist coppers, who deserved a bit of a kicking. No doubt there are various z-list celebs who have it in for the Currant Buns, but I don't think he's one of them.
  4. Nice to see the Rangers supporters planning ahead for their protest. Last time they had a big shindig, the rules were a bit more straightforward...
  5. I'll back that up. There are fans who will swallow the business case pish, but most will see voting RFC back in with these minimal sanctions as an infamous, unforgivable betrayal. Justice has to be done and be seen to be done, even if it's detrimental to Celtic's interests.
  6. A Celtic chairman who votes for Rangers' SPL survival is going to be a hate figure for at least 50% of the support, forever. You'd better believe Lawell knows he'll be seen as nothing less than a traitor by thousands, no matter how eloquently he might push his business patter.
