Remember the EOS playoff winner does receive entry to the Scottish Cup, plus they become League champions but it's ridiculous that clubs are going these games not knowing if they are playing for promotion or even when they'll find out.

All the clubs in the play offs would get entry to the Scottish Cup anyway with their Licences, no?

Although not at the meeting, I’m led to believe that no date was given for a decision on licensing of those clubs waiting. I’m also told that it was announced that the Juniors were not joining tier 6.

Indulge me, I've forgotten - what is the delay in the licences being granted? I thought it was relatively straightforward that a number of clubs had applied and put everything in place to attain the licence similar to what Kelty done?

I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but if neither of you were already aware that Linlithgow will be renewing rivalry with Kelty Hearts from next season I’m sure you can now work it out for yourselves.

I had heard that was on the cards....Not a great state of affairs.

Penicuik v Stirling Uni tonight in the EOS qualifying cup quarter-finals. Apart from at the beginning and end of the season, did midweek cup or league matches ever take place under the lights in the East Juniors?

Easthouses played Bonnyrigg on a Friday night under lights in one of the cups in the last couple of seasons. Bonnyrigg had a midweek game scheduled at lasswade rugby club under lights but it was postponed and the experiment was never carried out.

My point being a full of scotland non league Cup is something we'd all want.

Definitely the biggest miss of leaving the juniors.

I used to think that, but I’m not convinced that all the clubs do because if they did there would already be an all in non league senior cup.

How many teams are we talking 200? 8 rounds? With a lot of teams who don’t have floodlights sounds logistically impossible unless you make it the fixture priority which it clearly isn’t in the seniors.

No solution required for Tayside we are all members of the ERJFA and as such we enter the pryamid at Tier 6 along with the WRJFA from season 2019-20 ...Maybe the EoS clubs should ask their board about the outcome of the PWG meeting on Wednesday past. Very interesting meeting and I can understand why they are not breaking the news to their member clubs.

Sorry I’m not following - does that mean if Lochee - for example - win tier 6 will they go into the highland league or lowland league?

Hume, Barr and Forbes have all been released from their contracts.

    I assume to join Berwick.

3 very good players and leaves Penicuik very short in central midfield.

Might scupper their season a bit.

That’s a bit strange, no? Why the rush did they have some bizarre release clause if the manager left? Presumably that the manager was aware of?

    maybe unethical no?

The two region model was always going to be an issue if the Juniors integrated. 16 clubs doesn't make much difference to the unequal divide. Getting as many clubs licenced as soon as possible to give voices within the SFA to reconstruct the Lowland League into LL West and LL East should be the priority.

It doesn't seem like there's much apetite from the SPFL to make 42nd an automatic relegation spot. So amending the current play off to a 4 way one with HL/LLW/LLE/SPFL42 might actually be acceptable to the SPFL.

I think it’s a bit of a jump to imagine splitting the lowland league east and west. I don’t think the lowland league or the east teams are going to be in favour anytime soon.

Yes I only log home ties involving EOSFL, SOSFL & Lowland clubs. Would be interesting to see attendance though?

It wasn't that big, looked to be as many Bonnyrigg fans there as home supporters, maybe 200 or so in total.

I didn’t do a count but I’d go along with that. Normally Scottish cup ties crowds are recorded

You were favourites BS7 but dont be to despondent,Vales recent scottish cup record is pretty good.....Stirling,Berwick,Elgin and Linlithgow have all been put to the sword.

Best of luck the rest of the season.

We’d already lost to civil and gala so we maybe should have approached the game differently; everyone is genius with hindsight though.

deveronvale worked extremely hard and gave up 70% possession to the rose based on their stats. The team that scores the most goals wins and everything else is just chatter. All the best to the vale in the next round, it’s a welcome set up.
