Is P & B now twinned with Cloud-Cuckoo Land??
This sort of suggestion is nuts and will NEVER happen!
Do you REALLY imagine the Premiership clubs would accept being forced to play a season in a 'Conference' made up of just 3 of their main rivals and 4 clubs from each of the lower divisions just to accommodate a handful of newbies?
Read my lips - i.t.w.o.u.l.d.n.e.v.er.h.a.p.p.e.n !!!!
In the east it happened without a second thought.

cant have a conference set up if you bring in the entire 4 divisions of the West juniors.
Why not have 4 seeded conferences based on league places this season, as a transition season, to allow any other interested teams to enter too? Conference places to settle league placement for following season. Eosfl has been very inventive in coming up with these type of solutions.

Talbot’s priority is Talbot, as it should be. Buffs and Bankies are washing nothing in public, they are being upfront and honourable and leading the way.
I think it’s noteworthy that in the east the two ex juniors to progress fastest are the ones who embraced. Others who were reluctant movers haven’t fared so well.
i think the lesson from the east is once one, two big clubs make the move, the games up.
This could be viewed as a one off chance for west clubs to go in at tier 6. If they don’t, it might be tier 7 at best when they do move.
Although, it would make sense if the juniors reviewed their position and opted to move to wosfl as one.

As I said before Talbot aren't led by others. Talbot will decide what's right by themselves. Back to the circus
Everyone will put an application in, keeping their options open. There might be the odd radge loyalist club that doesn’t, but they won’t want to be left behind on 31st March.

Have you got figures for University of Stirling v Bonnyrigg on 12/11/2019 and 1/2/2020?
or
East Kilbride v Bonnyrigg 14/12/2019?
Cheers

W - the WRSJFA Premiership ONLY is linked into the Pyramid at Tier 6 (i.e. below the Lowland League and equal in status to the EoSL Premier Division and the SoSL) for season 2020-21. The champions of each, IF LICENSED, qualify to play off for promotion to the LL. The WRSJFA Championship, League One and League Two will effectively be placed at Tiers 7 to 8. The ERSJFA and the NRSJFA remain outside the Pyramid.
As far as I'm aware Never was it mentioned in option W that E|RSJFA and NRSJFA go into tier 8.
Option W, was a straight forward option for the whole West Region to join in with the top league in at tier 6.
I believe it was devised so that it could go in easily and seamlessly and let the East and North be sorted at a later time as it looked more problematicI realize this is probably old ground - but what happens to the junior cup in that scenario with teams in and out the pyramid?

Not true, from the man himself at the weekend Queen's Park offered him big money but he didn't want to go part time yet so I can only imagine Kelty have offered him more.
That’s two different things - he was offered on loan - and no one took it up.

It’s not that simple though is it. Falkirk likely have a bigger budget than a few Championship teams, and Tidser was one of, if not their marquee signing(s). He also had a very good record for several years in the Championship and had played down south.
While I agree it’s not a completely mental signing (Tidser is likely on reduced wages as his career winds down), it’s not as simple as ‘player not getting a game in League 1 drops down to League 2 club’.Tidser was offered to clubs on loan for a third of the wages he was on at Falkirk.
no one took that up - not even his old gaffer now at Queen’s Park who have a bit of a bankroll.

Unbelievable signing for Kelty Hearts. Tidser is a player we were desperate to keep hold of at the end of last season and losing him to Falkirk was a real blow.
He will be the best player in the Lowland League by a massive margin if he plays to anything like the standard he did for us.Do you watch the lowland league regularly?

Tidser some signing if its him
The tidser that used to play for Morton would be a great signing. The tidser that was disinterested and couldn’t get a game for Falkirk won’t get in your team.

Confirmation bias is a hazard.
My own position, for what it is worth, is not far off Andy from Talbot's. Were I able to watch Lok week in, week out (and family circumstance prevents it), I would enjoy the local familiarity of games. I would enjoy the fact that i would be able to leave for most away games no earlier than 12 and be home no later than 6. I would not relish watching Lok struggle like Brechin City this season.
But I do believe in the virtues of the pyramid, in teams finding their level.
The SJFA is a pyramid in its own right. I don't see why there should be a concrete ceiling above it. That concrete ceiling has a hatch that allows Junior league winners and the cup winner through, but it is temporary.
The SJFA has a proud history but it served a purpose in the past and in the amalgamation of the future, has not shown the leadership required (IMO) to stake a place. That leadership was (IMO) assuming responsibility and control for ALL football below the Lowland and Highland Leagues. The East of Scotland League was severely wounded by their big guns doing in 2013 what the East Junior big guns (and the rest) did to their own leagues in 2018. It was emaciated. It was evicerated. But even though that league, shorn of all its big names departing for the Lowland League, was ripe for a takeover, the SJFA didn't act because they were not on board with the pyramid. Teams showing interest were threatened with multi-division relegation upon any future return to the SJFA.
That failure to act decisively was (IMO) a fatal error that leads us to the current situation where they find themselves, effectively cast aside from having a say with the disbandment of the PWG. I am sure it would have suited the SFA for that to have happened, for the SJFA to have assumed responsibility and control for all football below that level. When it came to it, what the SFA chief executives might have wanted couldn't happen because the EoS had quite firmly established itself as the de facto feeder in the East.
My understanding is there were discussions about a decade ago, perhaps less, between some east and west juniors over an east/west super league. The east were kean, but there was little enthusiasm in the west. I think the east clubs probably had the incentive to do something, while the west was happy with the status quo.

No, their place is in the EoS set-up and they, having decided to give it a miss on two previous occasions, should go in at the bottom... whatever level that is next season.
The EoS have taken a pragmatic view in the past and gone with conferences, rather than leagues, so that teams find their level quicker. I think - unlikely as it is at this point - that if there was another influx of junior teams into the eos then there would be conferences at tier 7.

I believe Gala have agreed to reverse next week's fixture, just waiting on approval from the league.
On the subject of the pitch it looks like there may have been damage caused to one of the drains when the cables were being laid for the floodlights which is what's causing the current issue (aside from the shit load of rain we've had). I believe someones due to look at it and if need be new drains will be put in.Meh. I might have to miss next week now.
That makes sense about the pitch - it has been cracking for years, hopefully gets resolved quickly and cheaply for the upcoming games.

For me that is utterly shambolic. I mean this is what allows misinformation to get out there. It doesn’t need to be verbatim but it needs to accurately reflect the discussion.I think it's passed that really.
Even if the LL, EOSFL and SOSL were being obstructive - and I don't think they are - the SFA will side with the licensed members.
The SJFA will never deliver anything constructive, and its really up to the junior clubs to either sit down and shut up, or move to another league.
Junior Groundhog day.

Sauchie missing from your list ?
I think that Bo'ness, Dalkeith, Dunipace, Dunbar, and Newtowngrange now have floodlighfs. Not sure if they all meet the SFA licensing standard though.
Haddington, Musselburgh, and Tranent have been awarded a funding grant for lights, by East Lothian Council.
St Andrews posted a pre-Christmas floodlight funding appeal last month. Also Edinburgh Utd current fundraising appeal.
No idea about Camelon. Anyone got an update ?
So how many licences likely before the west juniors enter?

Is there a list of clubs now licenced or about to get licenced?
theres a hefty imbalance in favour of the east of the central belt?

Genuine question: does anyone have a list of Kelty signings and loans, in and out, this season? It often feels like not a week passes!

Is this thread the equivalent of p n b Groundhog Day?
3 years since Kelty took the plunge, 2 years since Bonnyrigg and the rest.
i hope I’m wrong, but my suspicion is that nothing will have fundamentally changed in a years time.

I don’t think vacancy for 1 club is the answer, but it’s probably not an issue if the entire eos premier is licenced?
i think 2 down should be standard along with 1 up. I don’t think 1 up will happen but 2 down/2up from LL2 is possible in the next couple of years if wosfl happens and maybe desireable.
