On reflection:
it’s pretty poor that for a “big game” we get a ref parachuted in that Bonnyrigg hadn’t seen before. I don’t know if he’s reffed many kelty games other than the Talbot game.
We’ve seem something like 50 different refs in the last season and a half. I don’t think that’s producing consistency.

The SJFA proposal is too late anyway, the LL/EOSL proposal is already approved and at the SFA’s lawyers for final checks.I had an interesting chat with someone last week who was of the opinion that some within the SFA want to see a fully integrated pyramid as their legacy.

Also didn't think it looked that much? what is the capacity of the stand and two enclosures?
Two turnstiles, they didn’t have change when I went in and the queues weren’t that big.
ive never heard of a club overstating attendances, mind. Apart from Hamilton.

I thought it was a strange game in which I can't recall either keeper making a save until there had been five goals.
I'm looking forward to seeing the highlights as I was at the wrong end of the ground from the second hald stramashes and penalty claims.
I would agree that the ball spent too long in the air but two of the goals were worth the entrance money alone.

Yep that sums it up for me. We had plenty chances in the second half but couldn't get the ball over the line.
Three minutes injury time. Totally taken up with a conflab on the touch line by ref and linesman that lead to No action. Numpty
gave ourselves a lot to do and couldn’t quite pull it back.

Kelty scored more goals and the ref was honking.

Essentially it’s in Keltys hands - if they don’t lose to Bonnyrigg and win all their games, their goal difference would see them win, so they are probably favourites.
massive pressure on them tomorrow, looking forward to the game.

21 players , looks like the only teams with a bigger squad are Cumbernauld colts, East Stirling and Stirling Uni.Jamie Docherty is on that list twice. Laidlaw and Neave are from the 20's but have featured this season and are signed on for next year.
Lee Currie is on the list twice too.

So far we've played 31 games using 22 players. Of that 22:
- Louis Swanson has left
- Jamie Devlin has left
- Robbie Neave, Aaron Laidlaw and Nicky Weir have played 77 minutes between them
We're running with 17 players of which 2 are goalkeepers plus the academy boys. A body or two in wouldn't go amiss if they would add to the squad.

Apart from the Gray brothers thats basically our starting team signed up for next year.
Great work by the club to get this announced and sorted early.
If we are lacking anything in the squad its maybe an option of a midfielder that is at home playing wide. Our full backs are excellent at getting high up the pitch and creating width but most of our midfielders look more comfortable in a central position. (minor issue)
Our squad is too small for this level, but we don’t want to bring in bodies to make up the numbers. It’s worked so far!

You got any predictions for the score? I'm predicting a 1-1 draw.
I really don't know how it will go, there's not really a lot to go on. Bonnyrigg and Kelty have virtually identical away records, while Kelty seem to score more goals at home against teams lower down the table. Neither has dropped many points. Without having seen Kelty this season, other than when they got rag dolled by Auchinleck, my hunch would be that there isn't much between the players - both teams have some very good players. Where I do think Bonnyrigg will have the edge is tactically I think Robbie is better than Barry.
I think neither side will want to lose, that normally points to a draw, and the hype getting ratched up for the rematch at the end of March.

Also, Dunipace being in the WRJFA was a geographical oddity. You moving to the EOS fixed this oddity, it didn't create one.
I wonder where Berwick Rangers would go if they were relegated from lowland league. Do the regs include for non Scottish geographical teams?

They are an unusual case, therefore they can be treated as an exception
The line cuts the village in half, and came long after they built the ground in the village. Can you not understand why this is different from clubs who are 1, 5 or 10 miles from the line?
Either way, as you say, it's not upto us to decide thankfully, it's the leagues involved.
Am I right in thinking that Harthill is in south Lanarkshire largely, but the ground itself is in West Lothian? Wonder what they are thinking.

Someone will know
Jamie Devlin moved from Tranent to Bonnyrigg to Penicuik this season.
isnt there a rule preventing you for playing for 3 teams in a season?
does it not apply to eos?
had he not played for Tranent this season?
i seem to remember an issue with Ian Black?

If you haven’t seen these, it’s a helpful visualization of non league Scottish football:

You shouldn't be going west to jump the queue. Your in the east you should go their whether its tier 7 or 8. You shouldn't get to bypass things because yous didnt have the nerve to do it before and I like fauldhouse
I disagree - they should fo what’s right for them all things considered. As shotts is 5 miles away, if they can get a better pathway moving west great for them.
dunipace did something similar in reverse.

I agree - I ran through the scenarios, and it's not much of a jump for the results to fall for BSC - or at the very least to leave them needing to beat Kelty twice to finish above Bonnyrigg and Kelty.
I don't know I'd have Bonnyrigg favourites, but there must be an awful lot of money on Kelty to be favourites in what I thought was a tight 3 horse race.

Getting desperate........
Dear All
The outcome of the recent Pyramid Working Group and the subsequent statement from the Lowland League suggesting they intend “taking the process forward” has caused further consternation and uncertainty. I note that the statement doesn’t suggest any detail on how this process might work. It has been suggested elsewhere that “expressions of interest “ will be issued – however will, as suggested “every club in the Lowland area have the opportunity to progress through the Pyramid” or only a selected few.
Its interesting to note that as far as I am aware, neither the EOS or LL have sought agreement as yet or received permission from the Scottish FA to form a new League(s)
We have been consistent in advocating that the Pyramid void in the West of Scotland can be readily filled and administered by the existing West Region structure. We have also been seeking assurances that the North and East Regions are given the same fair and equitable opportunities
Whilst it is not the intention to reschedule any further meetings of the PWG meantime, I am continuing communication with the Scottish FA and Rod Petrie has agreed to attend our Management Committee meeting on Thursday evening.
I would ask that all clubs stay resolute at this time and hopefully it can be facilitated that we can process through the Pyramid from within the Junior structure.
Regards
Tom Johnston
Scottish Junior FAI think the game is up. If any club is intending staying in the juniors on the basis of the promises of TJ then I have some magic beans for sale.

With the amount of teams who’ve publicly shown an interest I’d be surprised if there’s not more than 16 teams in a WOSFL next season. Although I guess the West teams will have seen how it panned out in the East where teams now moving could well be going to tier 8 as Kelty / Bonnyrigg enter tier 4.
I think if there is more than one wave of moves from the west juniors, there is the possibility of LL2 at tier 6 before the second wave lands.

We probably had to win one of the games to keep ourselves in it, so nothings really changed for us.
Interesting two games for you v bsc. They could pull themselves right back in it.
