  1. I like Jordan Allan and he seems like a decent enough bloke, but surely there’s no way he’ll be here next season. He doesn’t fit our system and didn’t cut it at League One level.
  2. Hamilton are more annoying than Inverness; therefore, I want Inverness to win. Can actually see Hamilton sneaking it, though.
  3. I think they’re looking for bites, so I won’t quote them directly, but the “I’m a bigger fan than you because I have more disposable income” is tiresome and stupid. Anyone who puts any amount of money that they can afford into the club is a Falkirk fan in my eyes. End of discussion.
  4. Bye bye guys, thanks for the 12 points. You can go back to your level now xx
  5. The discussion around plastic pitches is dinosaur stuff. I agree there should be a higher standard enforced, but just banning them outright is silly and a classic Scottish football reaction. Of course everyone would prefer the game to be played on grass, but there has to be some realism. We’re a country in Northern Europe ffs. I’d rather watch a game on Falkirk’s pitch (the kind of standard that should be enforced imo, vs. pitches like Livi/Killie) than a bobbly cow field. It’s just tiresome the hyperbole which is used when talking about it.
  6. Is Miller on fucking crack? He snaps his ankle with his studs
  7. Still wee bits and bobs to do. Might have a wee chuckle if Stirling and Inverness get relegated; probably a big chuckle if Hamilton stay down. Other than that, bask in invincibility, I suppose.
  8. To be fair, if I was having to play centre-half alongside Scott Harrison or Tom Dallison, I’d be fuming too. Muirhead did a solid job for us playing out of position in a good team. By the time he moved to CB he was beginning to be surrounded by shite. Yeah he was a bit mental but was a good servant.
  9. I’m fine with Shanley staying - I think there’s a player there. I also think we’ll sign another striker and he’ll start the season as third choice. As others have said, we won’t run with massive depth, but if MacIver gets injured/falls out of form, we’ll need options. Allan will likely be away and I’m not really counting Oliver as a striker anymore tbh, as he’s nowhere near good enough to lead the line himself in the Championship. I see him as cover for a 10. I’ll trust McGlynn here.
  10. Give me a new starting GK, Tait and Oakley as your three summer bits of business to add to the current squad and I’d be delighted.
  11. We’re absolutely, humongously, uncontrollably massive.* ^
  12. There is also something nice about being able with to watch the playoffs having already done your business though!
  13. Not meaning to be too harsh as I know we're all on a high etc, but the signing of McKenna does make keeping Oliver seem a wee bit more confusing to me, especially when McKenna seems an upgrade in that position. Oliver is a undoubtedly a tidy player and McGlynn has more than earned the right to decide if he wants to keep him or not - he might think professionalism/balance of the squad is more important in that respect. Just in my own humble opinion that I think it's a wage that could have gone elsewhere.
  14. I'm glad, but it's still second fiddle behind Clement throwing a tantrum in a post-match interview. Pretty pathetic from a national broadcaster tbh.
  15. I get your point, but I do think there needs to be a bit of slack cut for that when we talk about those few weeks, tbh. That Airdrie first leg remains the worst I have ever felt after a Falkirk game - it was uniquely, cataclysmically bad, and fans were feeling angry and looking for someone to lash out at. The board made the call, it was the correct one and it's paid off in remarkable style. Absolutely delighted for him - he's done a brilliant job this year and has given the club it's pride back this season. The fans are more united now than I can remember at any time following Falkirk. Roll on the Championship.
  16. Also, get it up the BBC whose headline was purely about Docherty and McInnes and will now have to give this its due coverage.
  17. Should ask Leverkusen for a friendly btw. Worst they can do is completely patch us off but worth a shot xx
  18. Also worth pointing out that with McGinn leaving, we wouldn’t have a single player signed over the age of 30, with Coll being the oldest at 29. I seriously doubt McKenna has been brought into to play 36 games from the start, but he knows the level and still has something to offer, too - he’s 33 and it’s a one year deal. All good in my opinion.
  19. Well, I think that looks a lot more like it...
  20. There’s so much to say, but before it slips my mind, fair fucking play to Brad Spencer taking that penalty. He must have been absolutely shitting himself, I know I was! Typified our season. Love this team.
