  1. Maybe not everyones 1st choice or an obvious one at the start but i'm looking forward to seeing how he goes about building a squad....seems highly thought of by people in the game.....hopefully gives our younger players a fair shot as well! Welcome aboard Ray!
  2. Ex-Rover Fox moving into coaching....all the best to him! http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/ex-rover-liam-fox-gets-coaching-role-at-hearts-1-3770860
  3. Good to see the club pressing forward with their commitment to the academy players.....also great news on Mathews getting a 2 year deal....given some time next year he could be a good player for us. http://www.raithrovers.net/19416/youngsters-take-step-up.htm
  4. Feeling a lot more confident going into the derby now with Cuthbert, Perry and Scott coming into the squad...the whole defence looked a lot more confident with Cuthbert. I'm hoping we'd line up like this for the Pars game: Cuthbert Thomson - Watson - Perry - Mckeown Stewart - Moon - Scott - Conroy Vaughan Nade Subs: McGurn, Ellis, Fox, Callachan, Robertson. With Elliot, Anderson, Barr and Hill missing for this our bench options are limited especially attacking wise but it'll give one or two of the younger guys a chance.
  5. Brilliant signing...as good a replacement for Cardle as you can get!
  6. Anderson or Campbell? Not really been linked with anyone else recently...
  7. At this level with whats out there at the moment Campbell might be a very good signing....if hes fully recovered from his injuries of last season maybe a new club and a fresh challenge is what he needs....he's got bags of pace, proved in the past that he's got an eye for goal and from what I remember he's good player who can cause a lot of teams bother on his day....hes still young as well so has the time to improve....with Hilson set to sign for Forfar theres not many other decent options.
  8. Delighted with Mckeown think he is a great replacement for Booth...Not that excited about Stewart but we'll Just need to give him a chance to show us what he can do
  9. I may be wrong but I think Kieran Campbell was the youngster called up for one of the Scotland Youth teams...seems to be a very good prospect
  10. Nade can be a great signing for us if given the chance...will give us a presence up front with his height and strength...this might be good for Elliot as he had to assume this role last year but with more freedom he might get alot more goals this season!
  11. Would more likely be a loan deal...he's still young and has a lot of potential....a loan spell with regular football is what he needs
  12. I see on the SPFL website that Mark Whatley has signed for Arbroath...good to see him back playing professional football always thought he had good ability and potential when he was with us.
  13. Great news, thats the spine of the team in place now...hopefully won't be long till we hear about some new faces.
  14. According to his stats Glen has scored 10 goals in 102 appearances....would happily see Spence stay instead...would be a very poor signing!!
  15. According to the papers he's verbally agreed to sign, dunno yet though as nothing confirmed on Robinson so assume Murray is keeping his options open...
  16. They're not excuses they are facts, we would all like to see the team playing better but with the way our clubs run and with our resources we have to except that if we want complete quality then it comes at the cost of a very small squad and as seen this season it doesn't work.
  17. Wouldn't exactly call the Board short sighted. They're doing the job they are there to do...keep the club going while cutting back the debt, and they're doing a good job in my opinion, none of us could do much better to be fair. Ok last season was poor, cup win aside, but i'd rather we stay in the league and make a profit than overspend on getting one season the SPL with overpaid average players who think they are superstars.
  18. Happy to see Mcgurn has verbally agreed to sign again...a bit worried to read that Watson's stalled on the contract offer though
