  1. That tool will get found out. Will enjoy seeing them both relegated.
  2. Best thing would be to build a modest covered terrace behind both nets - that would change the complexion of the ground completely, and enhance the match-day experience.
  3. It reads as though the stand will only cost an additional £25k to build. Must be something missing there.
  4. They're all pish and East Fife are shite. That should cover it.
  5. Mate, Kevin Drinkell has obviously been trying to conjure up some kind of scam. He is an agent after all. He's obviously been working on trying to get guys you couldn't afford in on some creative packages which just haven't materialised. It would probably have ended in disaster and possibly still might. Time to get back to reality and move on I reckon.
  6. Yuk yuk fucking yuk So many threads to keep up with the embarassment and, yet, not enough!
  7. If artificial parks are good enough for Champions League football they should also be good enough for the highest level domestically. Not suggesting Queens are heading that way, or anything, but if you were to go up this season I'd hope you didn't have to rip it up. Hopefully the merged league bodies would make a difference in that event.
  8. It's 3g - that's as high as current official accreditations go. Looks the business, however, and well done Queens in securing it. As you'll be aware a lot of 2nd Division clubs are really thriving with these artificial pitches. There was talk of Ayr looking at one and while I was never really that keen I think the financial benefials are too good to ignore.
  9. The laws refer to 'not less favourable terms' which could certainly apply to the length of contract - although I don't know for certain. In any event I wouldn't be trusting Jim Jeffries' understanding of the situation to be fair.
  10. All things considered East Fife fans can't seriously think they have a better set up than last season, can they?
  11. This might not be correct, though, as you have to offer a contract on the same, or better, terms. If he was offered less money, or a shorter length contract, compensation wouldn't be payable.
  12. East Fife are bringing in players who have all failed at this level or even lower. The team who only survived via the play-offs is clearly much worse than it was last season and the team who finished bottom are a bit better. Add to that your school-boy's manager, an appointment which never ever works by the way, and things look painfully bad. The only reason this has attracted so much interest was the attention-seeking of your own board. By some of your own fans own admission, the board have tried to sell season tickets on the back of their plans. They can't have it both ways now people are analysing their progress. Nobody bears any animosity towards East Fife, it just all looks a bit terrible to the objective observer. That fact that some East Fife fans seem to view developments as particularly attractive makes it all-the-more worth watching.
  13. Probably need to wait and make sure the club isn't liquidated first. I don't suppose creditors will be too receptive to the club signing new players prior to a CVA being proposed. This is always what happens, though, as soon as people think the club looks secure they want the spending to begin straight away.
  14. I haven't been following this too closely, but is it effectively Masterton who is the major creditor of Dunfermline? If so is he likely to be easy to deal with or will there be some animosity there - particularly if he is supposedly linked to the failed other bid?
  15. That will be the East Fife fans telt this season then. As I said earlier, and no offence, this looks a complete mess for East Fife so far.
